684175 tn?1295477838 That is awesome. I have a friend who loves his personal trainer. So does the trainer really push you beyond where you'd go with your workout? I need to be budget conscious for the next few months or so, but I do hope to someday at least join a real gym. I agree that investing in yourself is one of the more sounds things you can do with your money. For me that means cutting back my hours, but hopefully that is short term. Let us know what it's like working with a trainer.
Avatar n tn m also allergic to several medications (antibiotics) and my doctor said I might need an epipen when I take them to keep me alive until I get to a hospital. Just about all antibiotics close my throat. But I thought epipens contained epiphenephrine, and was told by a friend that it's bad for those with a heart arrhythmia. Has anyone here with PVCs had to use an epipen for an anaphlactic shock reaction, and if so, was it safe for the heart? Thanks.
Avatar f tn This weekend was horrible, I had two reaction to the water, on friday it was with rain, and had to give me 2 shoots of Epipen, and than I was better but shaking badly from the Epipen, and yesturday just by sweat I did a reaction and again the Epipen but just once, and I didnt even went to the hospital after, his that dangerous if I dont go???? And his it dangerous I have to many shoots?????
Avatar n tn Hello I have severe reactions from insect stings especially bee stings. Its so bad that 1 or 2 stings will put me into anaphylactic shock. I have over 5000+ PVC's a day and the docs say it is a supposed benign condition. (which I do not believe). My wife has never had a pvc or palpitations. Anyways, I have to carry around a epipen everywhere I go. Last year I was working in my back yard and was stung twice, once in the face under the eye and once in my arm.
Avatar f tn I have carried an epipen for the last 11 years for my son and Thank God we have not had to use it. But I was wondering if anyone did have an experience like this and had to use an epipen. Or if you have any information on urticaria pigmentosa? ( I know alot about it but I always would like to know more. Please share any information you may have or experiences you incountered.
Avatar n tn Hi, welcome to the forum, as such epipen are not available yet. Epipen delivers a measured dose of epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) using autoinjector technology, most frequently for the treatment of acute allergic reactions to avoid or treat the onset of anaphylactic shock. In certain cases it can be used to stop local bleeding. Alternatively, the same drug can be given by the local health care provider or you need to go to emergency department.
Avatar m tn I now carry an epipen but would really like to track down the food that caused me to go into shock. Has anyone had such a reaction to chives or green onions without being allergic to other foods in that family? Thanks for any help you can give me.

645800 tn?1466860955 I am very allergic to bee and wasp stings to the point that I can die from a sting within about 1/2 hour or so. As a result I am suppose to carry an EpiPen with me at all times ( especially since there are a lot of wasps and bees around my home ). But despite this the couple of times I have been stung I have never been able to give myself the much needed shot. And to make matter worse I always have 2 reactions to each sting.
Avatar m tn m 30 now), I tried some of my mothers soy milk and instantly felt sick and had a upset stomach. Fast forward to today I bought a shake called ViSalus Vanilla Cream shake. It contained GMO free-soy according to the label but taking it was unbearable. I tried it a maybe twice, got a itchy/irritated throat. Even just swishing it around my mouth in a diluted dose produced a reaction. My question, how common is this? Why is it soy milk/soy shakes cause this?
Avatar f tn An underactve thyroid or insulin resistance can make it extremely difficult to lose weight. Testing just involves blood work in the morning of TSH, Free T4, Free T3, thyroid antibody test, insulin, glucose, and an A1C.
988694 tn?1332359479 I have not gone completely gluten free but many people have gone gluten free and feel much better. I am working toward that being gluten free. Stick with the working out and the trainer and be patient with this disease. Good luck to you. My diet is balance with protein, carbs etc. I use the Weight Watcher's system and am actually wondering if I need to eat more. I find it frustrating that I have to pay attention to everything. I am 50 (for a few more weeks).
Avatar n tn I was rushed to emergency, given benedryl and sent home 4 hours later. I got an Epipen for I was told, although rare, that I could have a secondary reaction within the next week. Sure enough November 5 I had a second reaction (bi-phasic reaction). I was given the epipen by my mother for I passed out and couldn't give it myself. Back to the hospital.
Avatar n tn I am about 10 pounds overweight. I have been working out with a trainer (light weights and cardio) and following a strict (but healthy) diet since May and have not lost a pound. During a routine visit to the ENT doctor, he thought my thyroid looked large. I had a sonogram that was normal and my blood work came back with the following results. What does this mean and what should I do? I am 21 years old.
Avatar f tn You may need an Epipen if it becomes more severe but in the meantime see a physician and buy some Benadryl.
1856046 tn?1330237245 HCSP (Hepatitis C Support Program), a part of HCV Advocate, offers train the trainer workshops so you can become certified as a Hep C trainer. It is excellent training if you work with Hep C people, have Hep C yourself, want to start a live support group, or just to know. I will be attending the training in Sacramento in January, to be given by Alan Franciscus, HCV Advocate founder/leader and Hep C SVR'r himself!
Avatar f tn I just heard about this as well. Experts are speculating that the whale was actually trying to play with the trainer as Mary said. It's such a tradgedy and I am so sorry for the trainer and his family. I also feel so sorry for these beautiful creatures kept in captivity and forced to perform for audiences..this isn't how they should have to live their lives. I guess thats a topic for another thread though....
Avatar f tn Yes, I take Rebif as well and I don't have any injection site problems. I just started 3 weeks ago though. But I take it at night right before I go to sleep. If I do it during the day, I get realllllllly sleepy. Hope everything turns out ok!
Avatar f tn It's not unusual to have symptoms when starting a thyroid med or changing doses. It's always best to start at a very low dose and let your body adjust to it. It takes 5-6 weeks for the medication to reach full potential in your body. You might try splitting your pill into quarters for a while to see if your body will adjust. Do you have any lab results that you can post for us? Have they done any tests, other than TSH?
