Avatar n tn Here is my scenario i had a very small cut on my thumb about a day old and went to get a band aid from my companies first aid kit. As i opened it i notice there was blood on the kit. I totally freaked out and looked all over my hands. I am just worried that their could have been hiv blood on there that got into my cut. It was partially closed but i had slightly scraped it getting my keys out of my pocket and that is why i went to get a band aid and was red but not dripping blood.
Avatar f tn almost a relapse. i cant believe how stupid i am. i STOLE the first aid kit from a friends house yesterday and dont even remember doing it. when i got home and saw it in the trunk of my car I called them and confessed what i had done apologized and returned it but i can not believe i even did that! i have never stolen anything in my life and i feel so ashamed and awful that i cant think strait? why on earth did i do that.
Avatar f tn I'd reckon all but the kitchen sink... I went out on a night out when my daughter was about 10mths old the bartender asked for id I pulled out A diper (nappy) A soother (pacifier) Colic drops A few dirty bibs And a dirty bottle Which were all now on the bar as I searched my bag for id .... He got the point and served me anyways. ..
Avatar n tn I was reluctant to go to the same first aid kit because of what happened about when i found the blood on the latch. Well i thought of what would be the odds of me finding some more blood, i went to get a band aid and sure enough there was some blood on the box of band aids. Im not sure how "open" my cut is, It happened the night before and its not bleeding or anything,. Its just real red and if i squeeze it some clear liquid stuff would come out.

645800 tn?1466860955 In the interim you need to have something like Medic Alert who could not only notify the paramedics, but could possibly notify someone around you who could come to your aid. You should teach everyone in your family how to use the EpiPen and all your close (in proximity and other) friends. There are also personal alarms that will sound shrilly if activated. That could alert family and neighbors.
Avatar f tn It should only be used in case of life threatening allergic reaction. Epipen is known to be associated with shaking esp. when the larger doses are taken. You should not take more than recommended dose; otherwise you may land up in complication. This is due to stimulation of the muscles. Hence, epipen should be better used under doctor's observation. If you are allergic to water following measures will help you- - Stay away from water as long as possible. - Avoid going in rain outside.

I was swollen within seconds and was confused and turned pale. I stuck myself with the epipen and called the ambulance. I was in the hospital for two days while they worked on me. The doctor said the epipen saved my life.

The thing is that I have my grandma and grandpa at home and both are heart patients. So my mom advised me to do it to help them in emergency situations. The institute, that I mentioned here is near to my home and they provide following courses https://www.rescue7.net/training/. Which one should I choose in order to help them?
Avatar f tn You may need an Epipen if it becomes more severe but in the meantime see a physician and buy some Benadryl.
Avatar f tn My dr. has prescribed a epipen to use in case of emergency, since I had a bad reaction to something which we haven't pinpointed as of yet about 10 days ago. I am beside myself trying to figure out what I am allergic to and why I'm suffering from so many different reactions to my system. I want to know if this garlic smell could also be a reaction to food, I have not ingested garlic at all in the last few weeks.
