Hello I have severe reactions from insect stings especially bee stings. Its so bad that 1 or 2 stings will put me into anaphylactic shock. I have over 5000+ PVC's a day and the docs say it is a supposed benign condition. (which I do not believe). My wife has never had a pvc or palpitations. Anyways, I have to carry around a epipen everywhere I go. Last year I was working in my back yard and was stung twice, once in the face under the eye and once in my arm.

My concern is that I think that plastic flask holder is not disposable or at least I didn't see her use a fresh one or dispose of mine when she used it.
They use VACCUM containers for blood draw. I did see the guy opening a fresh needle and putting it on the holder.Then he put the holder on the table and was searching for the rubber string which they tie on the arm before the blood draw.while searching for the string in his bag he took out another holder from his bag and also the string.he took my blood and i went away.Now i dunt rem if there was any NEEDLE in the holder that he had taken out from his bag....
I was done hiv antibody test. Initially my two hiv antibody test that was negative, 1st test was performed after 8 months & 2 nd test was performed after 10 month from 1 St test.
Now I do one more test for hiv i.e.hiv duo combo test after 2.2 year that is also negative.
t think much of it until I picked up a car cup holder and noticed what looked like wet blood on it. The blood had touch cut and if it was blood that had hiv in it would that be a risk of hiv infection to me? Cut was recent and blood was still wet looking is why Im sooo concerned. Does this warrant any testing?
When we got in the room there was a paper towel already set up with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol , blood tubes for the test and a butterfly needle already out of the package but it did have a plastic sheath covering the needle itself. There was no tube holder in sight though. I asked the nurse why the needle was out of the package already but she did not comment. I was so nervous about my daughter I stupidly let her continue and didn't ask for a new needle.
Some allergies can be life-threatening as they can precipitate anaphylactic shock in which the swelling can be so severe that it impairs the ability to breathe. Therefore, I would suggest you see someone as soon as possible. Also, keep an epi pen with you in case of an emergency.

The nurse take a blood sample for the predonations screening tests. She used a new needle, new vacutainer, but a REUSABLE VACUTAINER HOLDER!. I didn`t saw any blood spot inside or outside the vacuntainer holder, but who knows..
The predonations screening test was negative for all test such HIV, Hep C, Hep B, Treponema Pallidum. Also, the blood collection kit was new !

You asked your previous questions on the community forum and on. You received accurate information and advice there. There is absolutely no risk of catching HIV from the anesthetic injection or other detal procedures. Even if the holder was not disinfected, no risk. The virus cannot "jump" from holder to needle. The virus dies on exposure to air. New HIV infections do not cause just one or two lymph nodes to be inflamed or enlarged.
