Avatar n tn I had a 2nd trimester miscarriage the day that I had a mole removed at my dermatologist. They used Epinephrine and Xylocaine and when we received the autopsy report it revealed that my baby was perfectly normal and healthy without chromosonal issues prior to him dieing in my womb that day. Has anyone experienced this or known anyone who has? I researched on the web and found many warnings about pregnant women receiving Lidocaine from the dentist but not what they gave me.
Avatar f tn In local anesthetics (like those used in dentistry), it's the epinephrine that's mixed in with the anesthetic that causes the problems for most patients with dysautonomia. There are local anesthetic formulations available without epinephrine, they just last for shorter periods of time and may require higher doses for efficacy.
Avatar n tn The second trimester is OK to do dental work if necessary. I'm not sure i follow. The root canal has gone bad and you're in pain?? or the tooth has broken and you will require a post and crown to restore the tooth. Either way, it's OK to have novocaine without epinephrine, and only take x-rays if absolutely necessary with double shielding.
Avatar m tn It is a serotonin nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) which is used in major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, diabetic neuropathic pain, and stress urinary incontinence. The most common side effects include fatigue, increased sweating, night mares, palpitations, blurred vision, postural hypotension ( sudden fall in blood pressure when standing from a sitting posture). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duloxetine Do let me know if you need more information.
1047019 tn?1256719961 We DO NOT have SYNTHETIC Epinephrine in our bodies. Any drug that is synthetic has been made this way by man in a lab & it is recognized as poison/unnatural to our bodies...hence this is why it causes reactions in some. The last time I was given it I thought I would die.
Avatar f tn My thinking was more in line with nickel, stainless steel and metals of that type. The titanium and cobalt crome are used more frequently in surgical implants (not dentistry) because they hold less of an allergenic responses. Regardless, any allergic symptoms would manifest within a short time after the surgery, not years later. Headaches, vomiting, inflammation would likely have keyed a pyhsician to any problems.
1817071 tn?1366228243 I had a tooth pulled, they used epinephrine. I was in afib with low rate for 8 days. Then afib every 2-3 day. I was given Rythmol as PIP. I gradually have had less afib, but, each one has 100 for rate...I called dr. and asked him what to do....he said I needed ablation and bp monitors were not accurate. I got a new dr. and new dr. did not say anything about the lowered rate. I go to new EP next week. I will ask him.
Avatar f tn Are you looking for laser dentistry in Walden? Many practices offer laser dentistry near you as they provide effective and efficient treatments. Lasers are extremely precise and will allow your dentist to preserve healthy tissues compared to traditional scalpels. The lasers are also sterile, which minimizes the risk of developing an infection and will also reduce the total recovery time. Lasers also provide a pain-free way of providing treatment and can fully eliminate the need for anesthesia.
1399363 tn?1462342610 It's possible to get tachycardia from novocaine unless it had epinephrine in it. Have you been getting it each time you went? If so, it may be in your best interests to call your dentist or cardiologist and report your tachycardia.
Avatar f tn I read your point and find that it was very bad experience for you. Most of the people visit to a dentist who does not have experience in sedation dentistry. It is important to choose a dentist who has good experience in sedation dentistry or a relevant degree. One should study about sedation dentistry to clear the confusions in mind. A lot of guides are available online that will help a lot to know the benefits & procedure of sedation dentistry.
Avatar m tn I have one root canaled tooth and I am slated to have at least two more, maybe a third in the next couple of months. Two teeth are experiencing irreversable pulpitis and the other is possibly headed that way. Anything to be worried about by having a mouth with multiple root canals?
Avatar n tn Lidocaine used as an anesthetic often has a small amount of epinephrine in the solution. The amount is so small that I have never heard of it causing tachycardia, although this is theoretically possible. Lidocaine and epinephrine is used in the suturing of millions of wounds every year with no cardiac events. My guess is that that is a coincidence here. The temporary fast heart rate in the absence of chest pain, pressure or other symptoms should have no long-lasting effects whatsoever.
Avatar m tn Do your own research - google amalgam health effects, also search for a holistic dentist in your area. Silver fillings are banned in France.
Avatar m tn In some parts of the world little effort or even no effort is taken to sterilize dental equipment. Yes it's possible to get Hepatitis C from dental tools that haven't been sterilized. Take the time and ask the dentist how the tools are sterilized. Go to a dentist you know practices sterilizing all the dental tools between patients.
Avatar f tn Do these drops have enough in it to maybe cause for me to have the same reaction? So far I always got eye drops without epinephrine/or something equal to epinephrine, but this last eye doctor did not want to use any drops at all. He examined my eyes without dialating them.
Avatar f tn My son is very strong n hates his hair being cut, eyes being checked n teeth being cleaned. Now has cavaties...anyone have their kids have sediative dentistry. He needs an hour n half worth of work n think might be least traumatic if he is fully sedated? I have no experience.
Avatar n tn It can be effective, but if the dentist uses this technique exclusively I would be cautious. In my opinion, muscle tension is a result of disc displacements in the TMJ and there are many other complicating factors that should not be overlooked. When dentists buy the necessary technology to do NM dentistry they take training to go with it. That training alone is not adequate to treat all the the TMJ problems out there. This has been my experience.
Avatar m tn I am doing ok with it however I to have noticed a little more tightness in my chest than I am used to. When I used primatene a couple puffs in the morning would last me all day. I am using my ventolin multiple times a day so there is a very big difference in the performance of the prescription inhaler. I heard that primatene mist will be coming back soon, and that they are reformulating it without the CFC's. Has anyone heard any progress on this or can even confirm the truth to it?
Avatar f tn t have any epinephrine in it. Epinephrine can cause your heart rate to increase. And of course nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is definitely off limits.
Avatar m tn If you are dealing with a missing tooth, yellow teeth, teeth with multi color or any other teeth problems, cosmetic dentistry can be a boon for you. It is quite necessary that a person's teeth are in good condition, aligned properly for a great smile which is a way to self-confidence. One should visit a cosmetic dentistry.
