Epinephrine too much

Common Questions and Answers about Epinephrine too much

epipen

Avatar f tn It is much, much weaker than epineprhine and you would get a much, much lower dose of it than dental injection with epinephrine. Even so, I would just play it safe for regular exams and just get tropicamide which should not affect blood pressure or pulse.
Avatar f tn Epinephrine is the a hormone and neurotransmiter. It is produced by the adrenal gland an is a "fight-or-flight catecholamine." So is norepinephrine. In biochemistry, the prefix "nor" means that norepinephrine is an analog of epinephrine. They function quite differently in the body. epinephrine is most commonly thought of in terms of t effect on the sympathetic nervous system - increasing heart rate, increasing blood pressure, hyper alertness, etc.
Avatar f tn Well.....guess what happend early this morning Soopster. Looks like I'll be seeing you at the dentist too! I lost my filling. This is the day after Thanksgiving; so, I have to wait 'till Monday. First time loosing a filling. I'll be sure to ask for the anesthetic without the epinephrine!
Avatar m tn Hi, It is a serotonin and nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. The name of the neurotransmitter is nor epinephrine it is different from epinephrine. Most of the side effects occur during the period when one is taking the medication. But the important thing to remember is to follow the doctors instructions carefully. To reduce the incidence of side effects it is always started with a low dose and then it is gradually increased.
4703993 tn?1379768388 I was diagnosed with POTS in January of 2013 and a variety of other illnesses (read my profile). I know passing out after standing and sitting too long is common, but in the last 2 months I have been laying down with no symptoms then after about 15-20 minutes I feel the horrible "POTS" passing out feeling and a few times I have actually passed out..this is very odd for me..
Avatar f tn an infected tooth has a direct impact on the heart and with atrial fib causes the heart to become irritable because it is fighting too much...i was never so happy in my life to get that back molar out of there....within hours i physically felt 100% better and not a single issue of atrial fib since....now i listen a little closer to what my doc says about teeth....i think i could buy a Porsche with what i have put into my mouth these last couple of years.....
Avatar f tn I had to get stitches last night, and was given 5-6 shots of epinephrine and lidocane. I told the intake nurse I was taking synthroid (which I presume implies thyroid problems). I felt a little "unusual" afterward (pounding heart, feeling calm and detached..), and was googling the side effects of the shot.. an article said this: "Additionally, epinephrine and lidocaine usually aren’t used in patients with thyroid disease, or disease of the kidneys or liver.
Avatar n tn I had a 2nd trimester miscarriage the day that I had a mole removed at my dermatologist. They used Epinephrine and Xylocaine and when we received the autopsy report it revealed that my baby was perfectly normal and healthy without chromosonal issues prior to him dieing in my womb that day. Has anyone experienced this or known anyone who has? I researched on the web and found many warnings about pregnant women receiving Lidocaine from the dentist but not what they gave me.
Avatar f tn Ask your dentist, but it seems you have read a bit too much about this ;) I have the same symptoms as you and antibiotics are not used before dental care (I was actually doing that today..
Avatar f tn It makes a lot of sense to question whether to wait until he's done the test before taking a medication that blocks the action of epinephrine (metanephrine is the inactive metabolite of epinephrine, I believe what's left after the epinephrine is spent, and normetanephrine, the inactive metabolite of norepinephrine, which they also measure).
Avatar n tn I think only your doctor could answer your question. But I wouldn't fool around with what sounds like a fairly strong allergic reaction. Call the doctor and ask. I'm very allergic to just about all antibiotics, and just started having heartbeat irregularities. So I'm concerned about epinephrine too. Guess I should ask my doctor also. Thanks for a good question.
Avatar m tn Omg ! They lie . They gave you something wrong or too much of it ! Wow get a lawyer !
Avatar f tn Oh yeah! Like viperron, the epinephrine makes my heart pound, I get the sweats, and shakes. My dentist doesn't use it on me anymore. I also get the heart pounding when eating or drinking certain things like too much caffeine (1 dr. pepper max), msg is a big culprit, eating too many carbs especially in the morning, cold meds, generally aspirin ( I can take 1 baby aspirin), .... Along with the pounding heart I get heart arrythmias and racing (until ablation).
Avatar m tn I lost my insurance several years ago and had to start using Primatene Mist to control my asthma as doctor fees and prescriptions cost way too much when you're without insurance. As you may know, Primatene is going off the market December 31st of this year (2011) so I was in a quandary.
Avatar f tn The only thing with eating so much at a time is that you may regret it later like u are now lol. I use to get really bad heartburn after eating too much. Good luck with those twins though! Maybe ur body is just preparing u to carry 2 babies :) Take care!
Avatar f tn i have a one month and 17 days old and Is he eating too much ? he eats 4-6 ounces every 4 hours and sometimes 8 ounces every 5 hours he was an 8 lb 10 ounce baby, and now im not sure how many pounds he is now but yea hes a pretty chunky baby lol but is that too much ?
Avatar f tn Im scared im exsposing my baby to too much harmful things? Idk if it makes since or if i sound silly but im a ftm & every thing freaks me out .
Avatar f tn I take 12 mg of Klonopin, 40mg of Paxil and 150 mg of Trazadone, all related to some kind of depression, panic disorder and depression. I don't really think too much about them, I just take them. I've been reading other posts, and I swear, it sounds like way too much.
