I got a shot of Epinephrine, Prednisone 60mg tablet, Tagamet 400mg tablet in the E.R. This did help to calm most of the itching. I have taken Prednisone 40mg daily, Tagamet 400mg 3 times daily and using Hydrocortisone cream and Benadryl 50mg for the past 3 days. I am still having a lot of the initial symptoms to my hands and sometimes lower arms. I am diagnosed with hypothyroid. I currently am taking 120mg Armour Thyroid daily. My TSH done yesterday was 0.26. Could any of this be related?
It works by stimulating certain brain receptors (alpha adrenergic type) which results in the relaxing of blood vessels in other parts of your body, causing them to widen. Clonidine is typically available as tablets (Catapres, Dixarit), as a transdermal patch (Catapres-TTS), or as an injectable form to be given epidurally, directly to the central nervous system.
if these tablets are not recommended stop taking them,go back to your doctor and demand further tests, you shouldnt be going through this pain your doc should be doing more, have you got any other symptoms?
They are also very hard and forceful beats and a bit scary. As soon as I take in some sugar (I have some glucose tablets but if they are not handy I drink a sugared soda or juice) I feel better in a few minutes though I sometimes have some fatigue and a headache after. I know the conventional wisdom is that your blood sugar has to get down to 60 or below to be really hypoglycemic but that is not the case with me at all. 80 or below and I am off to the races.
I'd really like to understand the underlying cause, but thus far, all I've found online is that the bodies of people with this problem secrete too much epinephrine or nor-epinephrine when alcohol is consumed. If anyone knows more, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
For headaches, muscle aches, or mild pain, you may take 2 regular strength acetaminophen(ah-SEE-tah-min-oh-fen) tablets (325mg), like Tylenol, every 6 hours as needed. For head congestion or stuffy nose, try saline nasal spray. You may take 2 squirts in each nostril every 6 hours. If you are more than 3 months pregnant, you may take 1 to 2 pseudoephedrine (sue-doe-eh-FEH-drin) tablets (30mg to 60mg), like Sudafed, every 6 hours as needed.
I started to get swollen lips and itchy throat, not extremely bad but enough to make me panic. I took some claritin tablets which were to hand and after a while I was ok despite a bit of a panic. 2 weeks ago I ate a piece of tuna which again I had eaten many times beofre and had a similar reaction, although milder. Question is 1) Could these milder reactions become major anaphylaxis reactions if I continue eating the foods?
Since onset of ARS I was under HIGHLY emotional stress with several mental break downs. I received clonazepam 0.5mg from my GP against anxiety (5 tablets). I had 3rd Gen. anitbody test after 8 weeks 1 day (neg.). It uses recombinant derived antigens (Seimens Healthcare) and is a CMEIA (chemiluminescent microparticle enzyme immunoassay). I know the statistics for testing times. 1.
I guess I can chop my 5 mg tablets in tenths, haha. Still, I think that short-term, for acute withdrawals, whatever helps, helps. But keeping going with it after that, I guess that's not a good idea. *************************************************************************** Here's an article that talks about proper levels and study results: "Rest easy: MIT study confirms melatonin's value as sleep aid" http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2005/melatonin.
Anxiety is usually associated with increased adrenaline (epinephrine) levels. Adrenaline levels makes several changes to your hearts conduction system and contractility-- it makes your heart speed up a little and prepare to contract faster. This irritability can lead to PVCs in some people. 4. I have never heard that association before, although I strongly support your efforts to get back into shape. 5.
How many people have had a pretty bad systemic reaction and continued on with the allergy shots, I'm a bit hesitant at this point! Also has anyone had to use and epinephrine pen and go to the ER for these shots? I certainly don't want to take that route, and am really questioning the next few shots even if it means I drop back a few doses. Thanks for your help.
i take two tablets SJW and one GABA before bed every night. Thank you for drawing my attention to masturbation as a user-upper of adrenaline, I had thought about it before but will now put it into practice and not do it when im tired. take note. that advice could change your life, it has taken me years to learn. One aspect of it is called dopamine supersensitivity, but doctors dont know much about this in its complexity.
I have a congenital heart problem that causes arrhythamias and conduction problems, so having an allergic reaction is scary for me because I can't have epinephrine if it gets severe enough to cause breathing problems. I wasn't sure if what I was experiencing was the "naicin flush" or an allergic reaction to the seafood.
the first reason is that my script ran out and I tried to call it in but the recording said, it's not due to be refilled and it would have to go under consideration of my physician. My script reads....take two tablets twice daily of welbutrin sr 100mg. for a total of 400mg a day. I have been taking three 100mg twice a day for years as that is the amount that keeps me level. I did this on my own and have got away with it for a few years now. .......
You have so much knowledge, what do you think about soy and its hormones? I try to avoid it but if a shot of Soy sauce can be a desperately needed boost I am willing to toss everything else out the window. Actually have you come across anything in your "travels" through research about POTS and hormones?
that made me start looking up some of the min and vit.. over 25 in these tablets.. I realized everything we put in our body has an effect .. too much of something good can be bad...
I picked up Kava Kava tablets at the 0.99 cent store.. And for me, I took 2 of these during the day, and they really really helped me. Today is day 9, and its the best Ive felt in a long long time.
, Melatonin for sleep and, last, Tyrosine for your weepy moods(Tyrosine is the precursor of three most essential Neurotransmitters during stressful conditions, and they are Dopamine, Epinephrine and Nor Epinephrine. These are the basis of elevating mood and concentration.) Whilst your pineal gland needs serotonin with which to create melatonin, research suggests taking both serotonin and melatonin is helpful when you have depression, moods, trouble sleeping, etc.
Lexapro is supposed to be a refined version of Celexa, unfortunately you will find that it will have all the same side-effects as celexa or any of the other SSRI's. What you need to do is to have a simple enzyme test for the enzyme P450. If you have low or no P450 enzymes then you body with no metablize the medication and will have a toxic buildup which will lead to experiencing severe side-effects. I would suggest looking at the physical cause of your anxiety.
My family members were misdiagnosed with anxiety disorders, depression and sufferred all the bad side-effects of Prozac,Paxil, celexa, and effexor, until we found out through a great biopsychologist/nutrionist that hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) can cause anxiety and depression along with bipolar. My oldest daughter experienced all the same highs and lows. After being put on Celexa she began cutting herself. My second daughter was placed on Paxil, experienced adnormally violent dreams and actually got up and checked on us to make sure she hadn't actually killed us. We found out since through a great Biopsychologist/nutrionist, Dr. Ann Blake Tracy that we as a family were probably reactive hypoglycemic. We began to look at our eating habits and yes we eat way too much sugary ****.
I am a 45 year old woman i have been taking 2-3 750mg tablets of Vicodin every day for about 3 years. Vicodin makes me feel alert and hyper for a while and i liked the feeling. It started for back pain and now i use it for the extra energy it gives me. I never take it at work. I usually don't take the vicodin until about 4 or 5 pm. I take 2 tablets at that time and then maybe later will take another. Then i take a 1mg Xanax to help me sleep at night.
so anything that increases fluid levels is recommended as treatment such as staying hyrdrated, salt tablets, and sometimes even IVs). Some doctors do recommend that with CFS, a histamine releasing agents for anesethia be avoided. If you test positive for dyautonomias such as POTS or NMH (neurally mediated hypotension) then you'll want to ask them to avoid vasodilators except when necessary or at least note that you will be more sensitive than the norm.
Serum samples for determination of norepinephrine, epinephrine, and dopamine levels should be obtained in the supine and upright positions in patients suspected of having the hyperadrenergic form of POTS. I hope this is of some help and you get answers soon!
But I felt that I was taking epinephrine, I felt so messed up!! so I ended getting the refil for my script.
He said that how people react to drugs has to do with whether their brains are serotonin or epinephrine (?) based, for lack of a better description. I wonder which I am. I'll have to pick his brain some more when I'm feeling better. Speaking of feeling better, I am. I still feel gross, but I'm up and moving around and generally alert. My back aches like a mofo and I still can't sleep. I've tried Tylenol and Ibuprofin for aches, and they don't work. I've tried Unisom and it did ziltch.
Take a look at this article it's what helped my 3 kids and wife stop the anxiety and depression. Hypoglycemia has also been linked to phobias.
