I recently went through a similar experience with lidocaine. I had a ruptured cyst in my breast and as it had broken through one of my milk ducts it had developed an abscess. It probably isn't the lidocaine, it's the epinephrine that is in the lidocaine. You can ask your dentist to use an anesthetic without epinephrine, I have had tons of dental work and always ask for that. Dentist doesn't mind at all and I've never had any problems. It doesn't last as long but if you start to feel anything while they are working the dentist will just give you more. I have done fine with it.
For the first time in 37 years, two weeks ago when I received regular dental anesthetic my heart raced and I started having palpitations. I didnt have any other pain relief except this lidocaine injection so my reaction was certainly from that. It caused me to have a near seizure or a seizure. My legs started majorly jerking, I started twitching all over.
Is it possible to have a pheochromocytoma with slightly high epinephrine shown in blood work? I am also wondering what congenital heart defects it could be? t have any epinephrine in it. Epinephrine can cause your heart rate to increase. And of course nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is definitely off limits.
