Simple question for the specialists: in cases of sudden cardiac death, are they all preceded by ventricular fibrillation, or sometimes the heart simply stops beating suddenly without VF? What about other cases? I mean when the heart stops beating because of any other health issue? Is it always VF the mechanism?

i was actually in the ICU. thanfully i had no brain damage but i was so confused,finally my cardiologist came in and told me what happened. for some reason my heart did not take well to the adenosine and i actually went into asystole for 30 whole seconds. he told me that they quickly gave me an atropine IV and i opened my eyes..i do not remember any of that. they took me to the ICU for observation and i just got back home.

s unusual for a person not to spontaneously recover once the table is returned to supine position. Was your heart in asystole or did they say you went into some other unstable rhythm (like v-tach)? Did they have to do CPR or use the paddles or what to bring you back? Why would they do three if something that serious happened on the first tilt table test? When were the other two? Were they done by the same doctor that did the first one? Have you had other autonomic testing besides the TTT?

Do these drops have enough in it to maybe cause for me to have the same reaction? So far I always got eye drops without epinephrine/or something equal to epinephrine, but this last eye doctor did not want to use any drops at all. He examined my eyes without dialating them.

It's possible to get tachycardia from novocaine unless it had epinephrine in it. Have you been getting it each time you went? If so, it may be in your best interests to call your dentist or cardiologist and report your tachycardia.

I gradually have had less afib, but, each one has 100 for rate...I called dr. and asked him what to do....he said I needed ablation and bp monitors were not accurate.
