The thing that started me on the path to a-fib 13 yrs ago was ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine as found (or used to be found) in Nyquil. The ephedrine I got from Metabolife, a diet aid popular in the 90's. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole now. I'm not sure but I think epinephrine might cause problems too. Just always check the ingredients on the bottle and if there's any doubt call your Dr.s office or at least your local pharmacist.

Now I have days where I can barely function at all due to depression, but if I take 12mg of ephedrine, some caffeine and 1/2 an aspirin I feel normal to great.
I've only been on actual depression medications once - I took Paxil. It didn't seem to work well and the side effects of getting off it were horrible.
Is the ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin mix a reasonable solution to my depression? Any dangers? Or should I try another antidepressant?
The composition of the syrup is each 5ml contains 4mg Promethazine HCI, 9mg Codeine Phosphate and 8mg Ephedrine HCI. Each bottle of the syrup is 120 ml, I usually take one or two bottle of it. In my country, tablet with single composition is available. Which one/two of the tablet can replace the syrup?
As most commercially availible Ephedrine tablets already have caffeine, just add an Aspirin tablet to it. Ephedrine is now internet only after being briefly made to be illegal to sell from cardiovascular complications arising from people who should not have been taking it to begin with. However Doctors still prescribe it in suitable conditions.

I had to get stitches last night, and was given 5-6 shots of epinephrine and lidocane. I told the intake nurse I was taking synthroid (which I presume implies thyroid problems). It is a serotonin and nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. The name of the neurotransmitter is nor epinephrine it is different from epinephrine.

m 34, female, 170 lbs, 5ft 7, former bodybuilder (8 yrs ago), about 20 lbs overweight but otherwise healthy. I take 25mg ephedrine, 250 mg caffiene, baby asa, 1 hr before my workout which I've done for many years off and on. I drink between 1-2 gallons of water a day. My resting heart rate is 46. I take birth control and low dose 250 mg tetracycline for occular rosacea plus benadryl OTC q HS for seasonal allergies.
It's the epinephrine in the anesthetic that causes the racing heart, etc. Next time you're at the dentist and you need/want an anesthetic ask for one WITHOUT epinephrine. The medication generally takes a little longer to "kick in" and wears off faster, but your dentist will work with you for maximum comfort.
