Hopefully, this starting dose of Synthroid will make me feel ok. I heard it can take up to a year or more (YIKES!) to find the correct dosage. So I don't have any experience with Armour, but I did find this website: http://www.drumlib.com/dp/000016.htm that may help you do the calculation. Since Armour has T3, and synthroid doesn't, it's a careful mathematical calculation to line up dosing amounts.

Why do the end of your last menstral begin the calculation of your pregnancy instead of the day you actually got pregnant? Wouldnt it make more sence 2start ur pregnancy calculation on the day u actually concieved? I dnt understand. My 1st week of pregnancy start Jan 25 but i didnt get pregnant til Feb 7th....

I cannot carry a book of exchange values everywhere I go. Is there any simple , safe way to determine dosage. I do not want to experience the effects of low blood sugar ever again and especially when I am out and about in public or worse, driving a vehicle.

I had an ecg done with a HR of 104, and a QTc of 449ms. I didnt unfortunately get to see the QT mm, just the QTc calculation. 30 minutes later, it was repeated at 85bpm, and the QTc was down to 420 ish ms. I am baffled as i thought that with the higher heart rates, the QT interval should shorten and vice versa with lower heart rates. Yet mine did the opposite? Is this a case of overcalculation on the ecg's part as my heart rate was over 100?

Thank goodness the docs have more than one choice to try.

So far I always got eye drops without epinephrine/or something equal to epinephrine, but this last eye doctor did not want to use any drops at all. He examined my eyes without dialating them.

Hi there- I have the same thing going on- I can see my pulse - it is very strong-it moves both breasts and shakes my stomach,this started 3 yrs ago-Dr said it was anxiety and upped my xanax dosage. But I think this came from Levaquin (an antibiotic). It is very scary to me-had 2 echoes,holter monitor,event monitor,3-4 ekgs,an an aortic ultrasound.Everything came back normal.I was on 4 mg of xanax a day and still saw the heartbeat-sooooo,not anxiety.

It's the epinephrine in the anesthetic that causes the racing heart, etc. Next time you're at the dentist and you need/want an anesthetic ask for one WITHOUT epinephrine. The medication generally takes a little longer to "kick in" and wears off faster, but your dentist will work with you for maximum comfort.

I have read of using a constant daily low dosage (100mcg) of vitamin K to resolve INR instability the theory being that the instability may be due to a vitamin K deficiency and the constant dosage gives a bias level for the coumadin to work against. t bad this time because they gave me nitrous but I learned they put epinephrine in the local anesthetic shots (it has something to do with helping the anesthetic last longer) So I'm thinking the epinephrine sends my anxiety level from like a six to a ten. Last November I had a tooth pulled and while the dentist was injecting the shot my heart rate got so high I almost passed out. They put a monitor on my finger and it was about 150! That is just crazy.

I have to go have a tooth filled tomorrow and I'm somewhat apprehensive about the anesthetic. I know most often the ones they use contain epinephrine because it's a vasoconstricter and causes the anesthesia to work longer. I know you can request the anesthetic without the epi but then it wears off quickly (like when they are drilling on your tooth). I asked my cardiologist and he said if I didn't get a big dose of the epi, if it was mixed, with the beta blockers I should be ok.

Muscle and joint aches are a symptom of hypothyroidism. They should go away once on the correct dosage. If they stil persist, you may need T3.
