THey hurt around the eye lid area. And it is also a little blurry after i finish exercising. Why is this? WHat should i do?
It is well recognized that alcohol can cause an increase in heart rate, through various mechanisms including vasodilation leading to hypotension and reflex tachycardia, and its diuretic effect. There is also a specific condition which is found in about 30% of East Asians (Japan, China and Korea) called the alcohol flushing response which includes elevated heart rate as well as facial flushing after drinking alcohol. This is caused by an acetaldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH2) gene polymorphism.
I'm having Vasodilation all over my body and it is driving me crazy. My arms and legs feel heavy / weak and I'm having migraines. I am in so much pain and my stomach is so messed up. My parents don't seem to understand a word I am saying. I know it's because of my Implanon but my appointment to talk about getting it removed isn't until the 1st. What can I do to stop this excessive Vasodilation??? I'm anemic but can I still take pain meds?
Epinephrine is the a hormone and neurotransmiter. It is produced by the adrenal gland an is a "fight-or-flight catecholamine." So is norepinephrine. In biochemistry, the prefix "nor" means that norepinephrine is an analog of epinephrine.
They function quite differently in the body. epinephrine is most commonly thought of in terms of t effect on the sympathetic nervous system - increasing heart rate, increasing blood pressure, hyper alertness, etc.
It's the epinephrine in the anesthetic that causes the racing heart, etc. Next time you're at the dentist and you need/want an anesthetic ask for one WITHOUT epinephrine. The medication generally takes a little longer to "kick in" and wears off faster, but your dentist will work with you for maximum comfort.
However ,many researchers agree that the common factor in most types of clubbing is distal digital vasodilation, which results in increased blood flow to the distal portion of the digits. Whether the vasodilation results from a circulating or local vasodilator, neural mechanism, response to hypoxemia, genetic predisposition, or a combination of these or other mediators is not agreed on currently.

I had to get stitches last night, and was given 5-6 shots of epinephrine and lidocane. I told the intake nurse I was taking synthroid (which I presume implies thyroid problems). I felt a little "unusual" afterward (pounding heart, feeling calm and detached..), and was googling the side effects of the shot.. an article said this:
"Additionally, epinephrine and lidocaine usually aren’t used in patients with thyroid disease, or disease of the kidneys or liver.
This has been happening every now and then for a couple months. I’ve been calling them episodes. What happens is I sort of get this deja vu feeling or just a odd memory almost like my brain stops for a few seconds. And then right after that heat courses through my body. It feels like the heat flows through my veins starting at my upper body then flowing down my arms and legs.

They did 2 or 3 cerebral angiograms and an MRI or 2 and found no aneurysm or genetic defect to cause the bleed. In short, they don't know why it happened. When asked about chances of recurrence, my doctors have just said "probably not".

But it sounds like from what you are saying that it doesn't block the emission of epinephrine, just the action it takes- I'd suggest if you don't hear quickly from your doctor you consult a knowledgeable pharmacist for their opinion.
I had a 2nd trimester miscarriage the day that I had a mole removed at my dermatologist. They used Epinephrine and Xylocaine and when we received the autopsy report it revealed that my baby was perfectly normal and healthy without chromosonal issues prior to him dieing in my womb that day. Has anyone experienced this or known anyone who has? I researched on the web and found many warnings about pregnant women receiving Lidocaine from the dentist but not what they gave me.

So far I always got eye drops without epinephrine/or something equal to epinephrine, but this last eye doctor did not want to use any drops at all. He examined my eyes without dialating them.

It is a serotonin and nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. The name of the neurotransmitter is nor epinephrine it is different from epinephrine.
Most of the side effects occur during the period when one is taking the medication. But the important thing to remember is to follow the doctors instructions carefully. To reduce the incidence of side effects it is always started with a low dose and then it is gradually increased.
s the epinephrine that is in the lidocaine. You can ask your dentist to use an anesthetic without epinephrine, I have had tons of dental work and always ask for that. Dentist doesn't mind at all and I've never had any problems. It doesn't last as long but if you start to feel anything while they are working the dentist will just give you more. I have done fine with it.
The dentist prescribed Halcyon (which I took 1 hour before the appointment) saying it will relax me and make numbing easier and the non-epinephrine local anesthetic last longer. He gave me 2 shots of local on each side.
Afterwards, I felt slight pain at one of the injection places, no pain anywhere else. The next day, my face was swollen, and I still had just the slight pain from one of the injections. The swelling was just of the skin of my face, not inside my mouth, not on my lips.
hi, one guess is that you undergo a large degree of vasodilation in response to heat - and then you undergo 'reflex tachycardia' as your system compensates for a big drop in BP. But that scenario wouldn't seem to apply to when you do simple physical activity.
Still, I'd get a home BP monitor and see what happens with your BP during these episodes.
But personally, I would think that being in a hot tub would lower your blood pressure, because the warmth will cause peripheral vasodilation. Under normal circumstances, vasodilation lowers blood pressure, and vasoconstriction elevates it. Also, you tend to relax in a hot tub, and the relaxation would tend to lower blood pressure. But ask the doctor, because maybe there is some effect of hot tubs that I am not aware of.
right down into the bone in my left arm..pain like nothing iv ever felt... I had a scan and doctor said there reactive lymph nodes and to leave them for another 2 months..I'm having severe stomach bloating... Not even look pregnant looking just look full of fluid...iv the itchy skin etc but the one thing that really has gotten to me is the alcohol pain.. Feel like I can't ignore that..
10 and 155lbs. I was very active several years ago and raced motocross for years. I went to my family doctor and she check my thyroid. Those results came back good. So I asked her to check my epinephrine levels because it almost seems like i have too much adrenaline. Those results cam back slightly high so she referred me to an endocrinologist. She also put me on 50mg of metoprolol (beta blocker).
