In one study, 50 women with thrombophilia (including 20 factor V Leiden heterozygotes) and recurrent pregnancy loss were treated with enoxaparin throughout 61 subsequent pregnancies. The live birth rate was 75% with enoxaparin prophylaxis, compared to 20% in prior untreated pregnancies [Brenner et al 2000].
It turns out that portal vein and superior mesenteric vein are thrombosed. They put her on enoxaparin and wanted her to rest for 5 days until the next control. She refused to be put on heparin or warfarin because of her history of gastrointestinal bleeding and recent surgery. We've been told thrombectomy would be extremely risky, given her medical history.
I read somewhere enoxaparin only prevents further occlusion of the vein and does not lyse existing clot.
I am 27 weeks pregnancy and have dvt, start to using CLEXANE(ENOXAPARIN) I am really worried is there any harm to my baby

continue through with warfarin, or to stop the warfarin and bridge in between with enoxaparin or heparin (as snconorm had done).

So continuing through with warfarin seems to be the newer strategy.
What would NOT be done is to stop anticoagulation altogether.
Yes I'm on the generic enoxaparin. I was on it with my first and forth (all 4 pregnancies were miscarriages). Now I'm on it again since 3 1/2 weeks pregnant.
I have been on progesterone suppositories, baby asprin, folic acid, prenatal vitamins and enoxaparin.

I have felt awful for some time now and seem to have so many thyroid symptoms. My levels of tSh have always been 1.2, 2.3... Last year I was feeling awful and it was up to 4.5. My doctor did not see this as a big deal. I am once again feeling INCREDIBLY anxious, not sleeping, hoarse, .... The list goes on... Went for bloodwork yesterday. TSH is 3.7 and Free T4 is 1.2. My hcg levels yesturday where 124 and when I I took the pregnancy test it said 1 - 2 weeks. I just took another Clear Blue now and it says 2 - 3 weeks. I take it that would mean my levels where going up. I know I have to wait till I have my bloods done tomorrow but I was thinking this is good sign. What do you think.

I have been on meds for 6 weeks now and just had blood work done. My TSH levels were at 23.1 and so they increased my meds to 150mcg daily. Is this normal??

Once I was there I got an ultra sound and it was was confirmed I had a DVT on the left side of my groin. I was sent home with enoxaparin injections and stockings and another appointment was made in a better hospital (yesterday) for further assessment.
Unfortunately I was told there was not a lot they could do for me as the meds that break the cloths down are way too dangerous for me to take as I will have cloths all over my damaged organs just sitting there doing their job.
Hi there. I had severe chest pains last week and was admitted to hospital. i was assured that at 38 years old and female, it would most likely be nothing too serious but 12 hours after the pains started a blood test revealed raised Toponin levels.. I had an angiogram which didn't reveal anything too serious, they said that the clot busting drugs must have flushed away the problem. However i am now on lots of tablets each day to prevent another clot forming.
