Avatar n tn In one study, 50 women with thrombophilia (including 20 factor V Leiden heterozygotes) and recurrent pregnancy loss were treated with enoxaparin throughout 61 subsequent pregnancies. The live birth rate was 75% with enoxaparin prophylaxis, compared to 20% in prior untreated pregnancies [Brenner et al 2000].
Avatar n tn It turns out that portal vein and superior mesenteric vein are thrombosed. They put her on enoxaparin and wanted her to rest for 5 days until the next control. She refused to be put on heparin or warfarin because of her history of gastrointestinal bleeding and recent surgery. We've been told thrombectomy would be extremely risky, given her medical history. I read somewhere enoxaparin only prevents further occlusion of the vein and does not lyse existing clot.
Avatar m tn Really a good news. I will like to know the possible price for the drugs and which company are going to be given authorize to deliver the drugs.
Avatar m tn I am 27 weeks pregnancy and have dvt, start to using CLEXANE(ENOXAPARIN) I am really worried is there any harm to my baby Thanks & Rgards
Avatar f tn what do u mean by generic medicine, where do we get in India, I am from bengaluru,INDIA
Avatar f tn Patent comes off dec 2009 if I recall. As far as cost - if you have insurance once it's generic it usually goes on the cheaper generic copay list if you have that sort of insurance. so for instance if with your insurance you pay $30 for non-generic drugs on the approved list and $10 for generics on the approved list - you'd be paying $20 less/month for your valtrex. Typically it's 30% reduction in price when it goes generic initially for paying out of pocket. drugstore.
Business man2 This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.
Avatar f tn s co-pay through my insurance is so high! $80 for 90 days. I could understand this price for the brand, but for generic? Anyway, I had tried this version as I had to with my last insurance, it and I didn't do as well on it. I tried it for a week. I an wondering if it was just my imagination. So if anyone has made the switch successfully, please post!
Avatar f tn it is a wrong name for drugs just to make more money for the first drug maker who did the drug generic is the same drug made from another drug maker, this is why the name generic is very wrong, generic sounds like the drug is different but only drug maker is different.
Avatar n tn brand entecavir in india is about 100usd per month so you don t even have to look for the lowest price of the generic which is half that prce.generics are very good to lower prices, virad has reached as low as 7usd per month in some asian countries both antivirals are useless on virus and only lower replication but the infection goes on and usually more cells gets infected under these antivirals. THEY ARE NOT AN HBV CURE!
Avatar f tn I have looked at different types and am a bit confused as to what is the difference between clomiphene citrate (brand) and clomid(generic)/ ovinum. The price for 30 50mg clomiphene citrate tablets is £151 but for the generic version for 30 50mg tablets its only £60. Does one work better than the other? please help am really desperate now!
649848 tn?1534633700 Just thought I'd let everyone know -- I picked up my refill for Tirosint this morning and the price has doubled, from what I've been paying. I've been paying $85.44 for 3 months; that jumped to $170.88 for 3 months. My insurance doesn't cover it, though it does save me a few bucks ($55 on this refill). I've contacted Akrimax, but don't know if they will respond or not.
Avatar n tn Usually the price goes down about 30% once it goes generic. The real advantage is for folks who have insurance that have a flat rate for generic prescriptions - right now valtrex is either on their no discount list or at a higher rate - for instance my own it's $30/month. Once valtrex goes generic - for my own insurance it drops it down to a $10/month charge for me.
Avatar m tn Guys I just bought my regular dose of baraclude .5mg today and there has been a price drop to inr745 for 10 tablets from 2450.BMS has finally made it a little affordable for all of us.
1378325 tn?1285346625 Express Scripts normally prescribe 90 days at a time, could this be where the confusion lies? Call a local pharmacist and just ask the difference in price with them, if the generic is cheaper then you know to question Express Scripts. It sounds like a mistake to me.
649848 tn?1534633700 I've been hearing horror stories that brand name levothyroxine (Tirosint, Synthroid, etc.) has been skyrocketing in price.(I take generic T4 and T3, so I'm not familiar with what the prices of brand names usually run.) Some people noted that they noticed the price hike started to happen slowly after the recall of Levoxyl last year, so they were thinking it had to do with fewer brand name drugs available=price hike. It seems Levoxyl is in production again, but only somewhat recently.
1475202 tn?1536270977 s good news. I think if we give more time the price will come down more. $4 generic list at wal-mart would be great for a lot of people.
148588 tn?1465778809 After widespread criticism, Shkreli said last month that his company would lower the price of Daraprim but he did not say exactly when or what the new price would be. Shkreli had said the money from the increase would be used to develop better treatment for toxoplasmosis that have fewer side effects, and that drugs like Daraprim will not exist if small companies cannot get a return on their investment.
Avatar f tn Teva like Novartis owns hundreds of generic drug companies and breaks patents all over the place. Generic companies do not have to advertise, they can't be sued, and they do not have to pay for R&D. Teva only make patent drugs for MS and Cancer which are expensive and less likely to be in law suits. We in the U.S. pay more because in other countries the governments buy drugs in bulk and negotiate prices, Teva and Novartis are not U.S.
Avatar m tn The insurance company is giving me grief over taking name brand over generic, even though Pfizer is kicking in $75 toward my prescription. They want me to take the generic (NO THANK YOU) or Cymbalta (NO THANK YOU AGAIN) b/c it gave me suicidal ideations ALL DAY LONG!!! Now b/c my insurance is giving me so much trouble, and my Dr. hasn't been of any help, I am now in full blown withdrawal from Effexor XR!!! It is very painful and I'm back to crying all the time!!!
Avatar m tn there is both tdf and etv generic at very low price (tdf from 21usd per month) in many asian countries etv lost patent so etv generic should be available soon in US while tdf might take few years
Avatar n tn continue through with warfarin, or to stop the warfarin and bridge in between with enoxaparin or heparin (as snconorm had done). http://www.circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/116/22/2531 So continuing through with warfarin seems to be the newer strategy. What would NOT be done is to stop anticoagulation altogether.
Avatar f tn The price has not gone up that much. I suspect you started a new deductible 1/1/18 and you are paying full price until you meet deductible. I paid $250 for a medication I usually pay $40 for and on checking that was the reason. There is a generic latanoprost but its not as strong or as long acting.
1632656 tn?1310693271 ) I think there is a generic xr now though,, Wallmart says they have it but wont give me a price quote agggh,, I am aiming for the regular now though,, easier to sleep with,, do you know how much the generic adderall 20's are running now?? I usually get 60. I have insurance but they wont cover it because Im 38 lol I guess only kids get meds now lol so i really want to know how much they cost now,, I am in Orange County Ca,, I heard meds here run higher.
Avatar m tn I used the generic equivalent, which cost $54.99 for 60 pills at CVS. I checked the price at Costco, and I could have bought 100 pills for $19.89. For 145 of my pain pills, I paid $72.57. I could have got 150 at Costco for $28.08. I would like to mention, that although Costco is a 'membership' type store, you do NOT have to be a member to buy prescriptions there as it is a federally regulated substance.
