I am 30 weeks pregnant. In the last pregnancy (2007), I had still birth at 34 weeks due to IUGR.
During the present pregnancy, my doctor has recommended aspirin and Low Molecular Weight Heparin (like Clexane) for the entire pregnancy period. I am regularly taking these both medicines. Regularly undergoing Ultrasound regular scan and Doppler scan. Till now the growth of fetus is good and is better than the last pregnancy.
But my platelet count is coming down, now its around 160,000.
I wad injecting in the stomach but started developing scar tissue and it was getting sorer and sorer.
On the 22nd post-operative day, due to severe pain in the epigastric zone, her doctor ordered an abdominal CT. It turns out that portal vein and superior mesenteric vein are thrombosed. They put her on enoxaparin and wanted her to rest for 5 days until the next control. She refused to be put on heparin or warfarin because of her history of gastrointestinal bleeding and recent surgery. We've been told thrombectomy would be extremely risky, given her medical history.

So continuing through with warfarin seems to be the newer strategy.
What would NOT be done is to stop anticoagulation altogether.
I went in for my first ultrasound at 51/2 weeks and then again at 61/2 weeks (if my dating is right) and we just saw a gestational sac and I don't really have any pregnancy symptoms. I have just started takeing care of my mother in law who is in stage 4 breast cancer and her dr gave her Morphine SO4 IR 15mg one tablet every 3 hours and Morphine SO4 ER 30ENDO one tablet every 12 hours and I am confused on how to give them to her, she says I can give them to her at the same time and I am worried about it causing an overdose and I am having a hard time reaching her dr for instruction on how to give it to her, do i give her one first and then wait a few hours to give the other

Apparently 200 mcg of Synthroid is a large dose, have you heard of higher doses this early in the game? I am starting to make some improvements, like I was able to go to the gym, but had puny work outs and can fall asleep at 8pm, and I sleep horribly. I see the doctor on the 22nd of this month after more bloodwork. Glad to see I am not alone.
My husband had been on a 200mcg dose of Synthroid for 6 months. Blood work in Aug 2008 was normal. Three months later his TSH was 10 and the doctor increased his dose to 300mcg. I questioned increasing it this much and am worried about this dose. He's been on it for about a week. Should I see another doctor?
I have only been taking it for two weeks so far, but I absolutely hate the perspiring. I wake up several times in the night completely soaking, and I feel so tired, and my eyesight has also gone a bit blurry. Not good ,generally.
I have found that sometimes I get both symptoms with hyper and hypo and in the early stages was confused as i could swear I was Hyper when in actual fact bloods showed Hypo.
Anxiety is one of the symptoms I get both ends of the scale.
The only difference now is ....when Hyper I get mouth ulcers and sore throat.
I have no thyroid function as was hypo 5 weeks after RAI in June this year.
ve been found to have extremely low cortisol and have been following the dosing chart on *************************. Basically every 3 or 4 days you increase by 2.5mg if you haven't seen it.
Initially I was feeling slightly better on one dose of 2.5mg each morning then a day or two after being on two doses of 2.5mg I started to feel very spaced out, dizzy, exhausted and confused.
I read somewhere that ideally you should raise your dose every 2 weeks or so.

I had hyper issues with both pregnancies but my Endo said that it wasnt enough for meds because having thyroid issues in pregnancy can be normal and can subside,as mine did both pregnancies and said if we did need the meds, most likely the dose would be a little higher than normal. It is imparative that you have enough thyroid hormones floating around while pregnant.. especially in the early stages of pregnancy. I had a TT in Mar and just figuring out my levels on Armour. ve been on methadone through a treatment facility and there are lots of women that are on methadone as well that just had babies recently and a girl that I have seen that is pregnant now many months into her pregnancy and she is still dosing methadone. So safely you can do it under a Drs care of course. Good luck..
