Enoxaparin chemistry

Common Questions and Answers about Enoxaparin chemistry

Avatar n tn In one study, 50 women with thrombophilia (including 20 factor V Leiden heterozygotes) and recurrent pregnancy loss were treated with enoxaparin throughout 61 subsequent pregnancies. The live birth rate was 75% with enoxaparin prophylaxis, compared to 20% in prior untreated pregnancies [Brenner et al 2000].
Avatar n tn It turns out that portal vein and superior mesenteric vein are thrombosed. They put her on enoxaparin and wanted her to rest for 5 days until the next control. She refused to be put on heparin or warfarin because of her history of gastrointestinal bleeding and recent surgery. We've been told thrombectomy would be extremely risky, given her medical history. I read somewhere enoxaparin only prevents further occlusion of the vein and does not lyse existing clot.
Avatar m tn I am 27 weeks pregnancy and have dvt, start to using CLEXANE(ENOXAPARIN) I am really worried is there any harm to my baby Thanks & Rgards
Avatar n tn continue through with warfarin, or to stop the warfarin and bridge in between with enoxaparin or heparin (as snconorm had done). http://www.circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/116/22/2531 So continuing through with warfarin seems to be the newer strategy. What would NOT be done is to stop anticoagulation altogether.
Avatar f tn Yes I'm on the generic enoxaparin. I was on it with my first and forth (all 4 pregnancies were miscarriages). Now I'm on it again since 3 1/2 weeks pregnant.
Avatar f tn I have been on progesterone suppositories, baby asprin, folic acid, prenatal vitamins and enoxaparin.
Avatar f tn I have heard that when pain reaches a certain degree, the chemistry of the brain is altered not only in how pain is processed but our moods, thought process, ability to do the very basic of functions.I believe that unless the total person is treated physicians overlook the relevance of treatment for a person living with chronic pain.Does anyone else consider this to make a difference when a doctor decides on a treatment plan?
Avatar n tn I had read the difference in anti-platelet and anticoangulant between the agents as you stated, but I flet it unnecessary to get that technical with the chemistry. The point I wanted to make was there are different mechanisms of action and to evaluate what is appropriate (the doctor should know!).
612551 tn?1450022175 In particular, people taking fish oil or long-chain omega-3 fatty acid (EPA and DHA) supplements in combination with anticoagulant drugs, including aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), dipyridamole (Persantine), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid) and warfarin (Coumadin), should have their coagulation status monitored using a standardized prothrombin time assay (INR).
Avatar f tn Have I altered my brain chemistry to a point where it would be impossible for me to ever get off of opiates at all? I tend to think this must be the case. After 40+ years of opiate addiction, how could my brain ever get back to normal? I guess I can live with being on suboxone long term, but what happens if I ever need surgery or get a disease which is painful. Will I ever be able to get pain relief?
366811 tn?1217422672 Many folks attribute their anxiety, panic or other related problems to a "chemical imbalance." In one sense, this MUST be true because there is a lot of chemistry in our feelings; in fact, we could argue that it is "all about" the chemistry. Put another way, if our chemistry were different, we'd feel better. That's all true enough -but also a POTENTIALLY dangerous way to think about it.
Avatar m tn The treatment definitely can alter brain chemistry and Hep C symptoms can make a contribution too. Rather than immediately starting on antipsychotics, it be good if you could talk your options over with someone who can discern what is really going on. ToX can throw the whole ecosystem off balance. Prolonged sleep disturbance alone can have a person bouncing off white walls.
Avatar f tn It all fell out and when it grew back, it was curly. His doctor told him that something about his body chemistry had changed. Maybe something about your body chemistry has just changed naturally.
Avatar m tn your brain chemistry needs to begin to reproduce again. exercise helps with getting the brain chemistry regulated. congratulations on your clean time. you are doing great.
Avatar m tn During my time at university I found chemistry labs a haven because initially hardly anyone reacted. It’s funny because the whole lab is surrounded by glass because the whole building is glass all around with several floors. It’s sealed with no windows, just a giant air conditioning system (AC). I got a few reactions which I didn’t expect and I didn’t know why either.
192291 tn?1345400135 Hi, if you're taking chem lab you should speak to the instructor and ask them if you'll be exposed to anything potentially harmful to the baby, either through exposure to skin or through your lungs (and ask your ob/gyn). It depends on the level of the course too. If the room itself is used for multiple chem labs of varying levels, then you might want to skip the course b/c you don't know what residue is hidden where.
Avatar f tn I just recently requested his records from that visit and discovered an abnormal ECG - Inferior infarct - age undetermined, and his blood chemistry for Troponin I was 0.04 (range indicates Inconclusive for Myocardial damage). While in the ER, no one discussed the results of the ECG with neither my son or a family member, nor did they discuss the blood chemistry results. We are in the process of getting a referral to a cardiologist to follow up on this ECG.
Avatar m tn Although technically it takes only one sperm to fertilize an egg, sperm need to be surrounded by a lot of ejaculate from the man to neutralize vaginal chemistry and give the sperm a medium to swim around in safely. A few lonely little sperm with no ejaculate will die pretty quickly.
