Avatar n tn continue through with warfarin, or to stop the warfarin and bridge in between with enoxaparin or heparin (as snconorm had done). http://www.circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/116/22/2531 So continuing through with warfarin seems to be the newer strategy. What would NOT be done is to stop anticoagulation altogether.
Avatar n tn It turns out that portal vein and superior mesenteric vein are thrombosed. They put her on enoxaparin and wanted her to rest for 5 days until the next control. She refused to be put on heparin or warfarin because of her history of gastrointestinal bleeding and recent surgery. We've been told thrombectomy would be extremely risky, given her medical history. I read somewhere enoxaparin only prevents further occlusion of the vein and does not lyse existing clot.
Avatar m tn I am 27 weeks pregnancy and have dvt, start to using CLEXANE(ENOXAPARIN) I am really worried is there any harm to my baby Thanks & Rgards
Avatar f tn Yes I'm on the generic enoxaparin. I was on it with my first and forth (all 4 pregnancies were miscarriages). Now I'm on it again since 3 1/2 weeks pregnant.
Avatar n tn In my opinion, 3 weeks after the extraction to have a bridge cemented is way too soon. I usually wait 8 weeks even to take impressions (10-11 weeks to place the bridge) becasue the area where the tooth is extracted needs that long to heal. Placing a bridge too soon can lead to problems like you are having. I'd get another opinion.
Avatar f tn If they know a dentist who they think is good maybe you should try him out. As for the bridge, I would see if the tooth may be saved by root canal therapy. If it can't, there really isn't anything else to do but have it pulled. However, it is important to note that if the tooth must be extracted, you have a few options for salvaging the bridge. 1.
Avatar n tn Then today, I noticed a small black area on the other side (the right side) and saw it was a small area where I can see the metal part under the bridge, like a hole between the bridge teeth. I haven't paid that much attention to things like that before now, so could it be possible that I'm just over-thinking all this? I dread having to get it looked at because a) I remember the excrutiating pain of getting the bridge in place to begin with and b) I have no dental insurance.
Avatar f tn After three weeks of testing (lung vq scan, GERD, and anxiety), a heart cath was done. Cardiologist said I had myocardial bridge (left artery), hypertension, and thick wall. I was put on beta blockers and have nitro for when the severe pain comes back. This happened 5 days ago. I'm still having sharp chest pains. I can't walk at a normal pace or stand for long periods of time without my left arm tingling.
Avatar f tn Well in November of 2008 I finally stood up too him, and took cusotdy of my kids back. I began the panic attacks once again, when I was trying to cross a bridge I had crossed, hundreds if not thousands of times. Why did they begin again? I am so VERY ANGRY that he has any sort of control, in any manner, over me. I lecture myself, about how stupid it is too be scared to cross the bridge. i have to cross it at least once a week for my kids basketball games.
Avatar f tn It has been suggested that patients on long-term warfarin therapy (including those with mechanical heart valves or atrial fibrillation) who are undergoing minor elective invasive outpatient procedures (eg, colonoscopy, dental procedures) may have a slightly increased risk of perioperative bleeding if placed in some form of heparin therapy (eg, heparin bridge) than those who have their oral anticoagulation withheld for 4-5 days (major hemorrhage 3.7% vs 0.
Avatar f tn I have been on progesterone suppositories, baby asprin, folic acid, prenatal vitamins and enoxaparin.
Avatar m tn A little bit about me: I'm 19 years old and male. I don't have any learning disabilities that I'm aware of. For the past 3 years, I've been having difficulty reading because I've been distracted by the tip/bridge of my nose. Well, let me rephrase that...I don't have difficulty reading the words...It's just that the site of my nose detracts from my reading comprehension because I'm somewhat focused on that. I don't experience any double vision while reading.
Avatar m tn After CT angio test , though i had UN-obstructive coronaries, but it was mentioned in the final analysis that i have superficial muscle bridge in mid LAD. i am little concerned about this finding. i have no symptoms at moment. i do brisk walk daily and enjoy it.
Avatar m tn Yes, we refer to it as tooth preparation. We need to remove some tooth structure around the tooth in order to create room for a bridge. If we just put a bridge on top of the existing teeth, it wouldn't fit your bite.

Avatar f tn My husband's cardiologist has recommended an LVAD as bridge to heart transplant. Husband is class III/IV but relatively young at age 56 (CHF due to left ventrical noncompaction, probably a congenital defect). Not yet approved, but hospital is now suggesting several months of IV inotrope therapy and waiting several months to have insertion done at this hospital rather than another. (Present hospital not yet certified by our insurance.) If approved, is the LVAD better done now than later?
Avatar m tn In January the swelling continued to get worse and I had burning/ numbess/ tingling on the bridge of my nose and the swelling spread to the other side of my nose tip but not the nostril. Intense burning one day on the right side of my nose- felt like it was on fire! Strange whitish apprearance of skin looked like it was burned going along that side to the middle of the tip of my nose. Went back to dr.'s put me back on antiobiotic and oral steroids.
Avatar f tn I had a temporary on the 2 front teeth that support this bridge. With no problem or pain or discomfort. Having the bridge installed the dentist told me we might need to adjust a few times to get the bite right. I called him this morning to tell him I was having some pain and discomfort. He told me to come down and checked the bridge , adjusted the bite a little and told me this was normal to be feeling this. The teeth will need some time to adjust it could take up to a week or two.
Avatar n tn The only other thing would be to remove the end teeth on your bridge and have new ones fitted to the remaining bridge. Refiring old porcelain may not be advisable. Plus that could be more costly than a whole new bridge. Your taking a gamble that the old bridge will line up exactly to your implants. There is no room for error there as implants are totally stable in the bone. They don't move. I think what you are asking about can only be answered by your dentist and oral surgeon.
Avatar m tn I was told my one dentist that the bridge is fine and the hole can be filled to save the bridge. Another dentist tells me the bridge should be replaced, as there is infection under the bridge that will reoccur if the bridge is not replaced. This would then comprimise the anchoring tooth and cause me larger problems later, if I lose this tooth. Please give me your professional opinion on the options I have at this point.
Avatar f tn i lost a tooth due to a hit two years ago i couldnt afford to crown it at the time but i hated the way it looked so i just had a bridge done the two teeth beside it hold it up i believe the bridge is porcelain and on the back it looks like mercury is on one tooth black or grey on the inside of the mouth of the one toothis that normal?
Avatar n tn A related discussion, <a href="/posts/Dental-Health/Treat-decay-under-bridge-anchoring-tooth-with-removing-bridge/show/1775171">Treat decay under bridge anchoring tooth with removing bridge</a> was started.
Avatar f tn ve not had any bad taste in my mouth, sensitivity in the bridge area or anything else to suggest the bridge has come loose. I did get a new Braun (have been using one for years) and used it for the first time that day a couple hours before the "shift". Could that have caused the bridge to loosen or could this "shift" be normal and not indicate a loose bridge. If the bridge is loose, is it normally removable and able to be re-cemented?
