Avatar n tn In one study, 50 women with thrombophilia (including 20 factor V Leiden heterozygotes) and recurrent pregnancy loss were treated with enoxaparin throughout 61 subsequent pregnancies. The live birth rate was 75% with enoxaparin prophylaxis, compared to 20% in prior untreated pregnancies [Brenner et al 2000].
Avatar n tn It turns out that portal vein and superior mesenteric vein are thrombosed. They put her on enoxaparin and wanted her to rest for 5 days until the next control. She refused to be put on heparin or warfarin because of her history of gastrointestinal bleeding and recent surgery. We've been told thrombectomy would be extremely risky, given her medical history. I read somewhere enoxaparin only prevents further occlusion of the vein and does not lyse existing clot.
Avatar m tn I am 27 weeks pregnancy and have dvt, start to using CLEXANE(ENOXAPARIN) I am really worried is there any harm to my baby Thanks & Rgards
Avatar n tn continue through with warfarin, or to stop the warfarin and bridge in between with enoxaparin or heparin (as snconorm had done). http://www.circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/116/22/2531 So continuing through with warfarin seems to be the newer strategy. What would NOT be done is to stop anticoagulation altogether.
Avatar f tn do I still have a hope? Does anyone had HPT BNF 10 days after FET and get BNP for blood result on 12 days?
Avatar m tn MY 6 YR OLD SON had a round red swollen area on his right forearm and after applying fudic bnf cream and teczim syrup for one week , the area developed into a red swollen lump around the size of around 15 mm x 10 mm and the size of the lump after 4 weeks is not decreasing in size and is also not increasing in size but is inflammed red and warm to the touch. The lump is now protruding outside a bit as time is progressing which seems to me .
Avatar f tn Yes I'm on the generic enoxaparin. I was on it with my first and forth (all 4 pregnancies were miscarriages). Now I'm on it again since 3 1/2 weeks pregnant.

568812 tn?1379165794 So anyway, the pain he says, is the worst hes had in 18 months and his doctors are suggesting he uses amitriptyline but he doesnt want again and personally i agree that he shouldnt be on them. Ive looked in my BNF (British National Formulary) and i cant seem to see anything that might help. So my question is to ask if anyone has similar IBS symptoms and can suggest anything that might ease his pain. Thanks.

Avatar f tn I have been on progesterone suppositories, baby asprin, folic acid, prenatal vitamins and enoxaparin.
Avatar n tn Recently, I have been a bit more tired than I usually am, I have these really slight cramps in my lower stomach very similiar to period cramps, but WAY less painful, I experiened a 24-hour headache once and some very dull back and neck aches. I took one test the day I was due, but it was a BNF and another yesterday and the same results. I didn't use first morning's urine, though. About an hour and a half ago, I used the washroom and, once again, when I wiped I saw the same thing.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am 29 years old and I have suspect that I have PCOS. I was overweight/obese as a child and teenager until my early 20s. Aged 21 I started getting excess facial/bodily hair and my weight increased to its highest (can't remember what but I was a UK size 18/US size 22). Then aged 22 my periods went from being 5 days long, 3 days heavy 2 light to lasting just 3 days, none particularly heavy.
Avatar m tn do you think that there is any mileage in switching from the generic versions to extended release type?? i forgot to say that i do have a Lumie SAD light and utilise this also. UK GP's won't prescribe over those levels despite what has been indicated elsewhere as you rightly say, as there's significant variation on this on the internet within the western world it seems. In the course of my work i've not seen patients being prescribed over these BNF levels.
Avatar m tn s no longer given out on repeat, unless virtually everything else has been tried for anxiety and the person taking it seems to manage on a dose that is well within the safe limits in the BNF - it does still ruin a lot of lives and keeps people agoraphobic and dependent on it in quite small doses. Also Doctors who prescribe bezos are monitored as to how many people they write scripts for such meds.

178239 tn?1277405491 So sorry about AF, Tina, and the BNF, AUNTDD. Meeshy, with a 17.5 follicle two days ago, you should be ready to O any day now. I bet the follicle is about 21.5 right about now! I'm either 3 or 4 dpo (I think 4, but FF thinks 3), and so far I only have some tender BBs, which is normal for me after O. But I'm actually kinda happy about it, because the last two cycles (cycle 3 and 4 on femara), they were barely tender at all.
4764932 tn?1359844198 Hi niko , I hope You are fine and dandy. Just to update you on my latest problem , which I saw coming , and now I know that the doctor who reffered me to the armour doctor , won't prescribe me armour on NHS. In brackets below are the notes I showed him in my defence , which he just glanced at. “Armour is unlicenced because its been around since 1800s, and it works. It was around befor BNF. There's no need for it to be licenced due to proven efficency and lack of harm.
Avatar f tn Once I was there I got an ultra sound and it was was confirmed I had a DVT on the left side of my groin. I was sent home with enoxaparin injections and stockings and another appointment was made in a better hospital (yesterday) for further assessment. Unfortunately I was told there was not a lot they could do for me as the meds that break the cloths down are way too dangerous for me to take as I will have cloths all over my damaged organs just sitting there doing their job.
1310468 tn?1274863925 One of the medications my doctors are looking at to treat BPII is lamotragine, but I've just looked it up in the BNF and it's listed for use in controlling epileptic seizures, NOT for managing mood disorders. Do you think this is an off-label use, or anything I should worry about? Has anyone had experience of using it?
