Avatar f tn Multiple, at least 6, hypoechoic thyroid nodules are identified, some of which are partially calcified and some of which may represent cysts. Largest nodules measure 10 - 12 mm in diameter. IMPRESSION Multiple nodules in an enlarged thyroid gland. This would be in keeping with multinodular goiter. Correlation with thyroid function studies and/or nuclear scintigraphy is recommended.
Avatar n tn ve been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism, multiple nodules on the thyroid with at least 6 being over 1.6 cm. They have biopsied 2 of the of the nodules. The findings were benign. My CT Scan revealed multiple enlarged lymph nodes. I have hoarseness and I have to constantly clear my throat, most recently i'm experiencing some breathing difficulty. My doctor has suggested to remove the parathyroid tumor and a few lymph nodes and to keep a watchful eye on the nodules.
Avatar m tn I had my first ultrasound in nov 2011 which revealed multiple subcentimeter thyroid nodules up to 0.5 mm in size...after that I was put off the synthroid and my TSH has been testing normal ever since...fast forward had another ultrasound nov 2013 which revealed no nodules no cysts or growths but enlarged left and right thyroid lobes.. Avatar n tn Your nodule has to be at least 1-1.cm for biopsy. Did they tell you that 50% of the population has thyroid nodules? They are quite common. Have you had a thyroid panel done,or been tested for thyroid antibodies. We can better help you with those numbers.
Avatar f tn Two small sub centimeter hypoechoic solid nodules within the right lobe. 3: 1.9x0.8 cm probable nodule within left lobe. 9/19 The right lobe is enlarged measuring 5cm in length. Mweasures 2cm in transverse dimension and 2 cm in anteroposterior dimension. The left lobe is enlarged measuring 5cm in length and measuring 2cm in transverse dimension and 1.7 cm in anteroposterior dimension. All these measurements are enlarged when compared to 5/27/14. Multiple nodules identified in both lobes.
Avatar m tn Liver is enlarged, measures 20.1 cm in carcino-caudal axis with diffuse mild fatty parenchymal echoes. Multiple non homogenous small hypoechoic nodules of various sizes are seen in both lobes of liver with well defined margins and no internal calcification or vascularity, largest nodule measuring 1.8* 1.6 cm - suggestive of Multiple Metastatic Nodules. No intrahepatic biliary dilatation is seen. IMPRESSION: Multiple metastatic nodule in both lobes of liver.
Avatar f tn Enlarged thyroid gland with multiple bilateral cystic and solid nodules. Clinical correlation and follow-up recommended. What I would like is an interpretation of the above sono. I have to find a new endo as the one that I had last year didnt even want to do the FNA, he just said to follow up in a year, so my medical doctor ordered the FNA.
Avatar f tn Enlarged thyroid with multiple confluent nodules suggests benign nodular goiter but it is recommended to have FNA biospy to confirm this. Hyperechoic is usually a benign feature. Hypoechoic interior usually would refer to cystic degeneration (benign) in this context.
Avatar n tn Heterogeneous thyroid with multiple bilateral nodules. No further studies were indicated. I am beside myself with worry. I just lost my mom to cancer. Can you please explain this to me? My dr. will not tell me anything until my blood work is finished.

Avatar n tn I am a 31 year old woman who is 35 weeks pregnant. A cat scan recently revealed a nodule on the right side of my thyroid. I had some blood work done which showed my TSH levels in the normal range but my Thyroxine Free levels were low. Avatar f tn grossly enlarged thyroid gland with multiple nodules. Consider dedicated thyroid ultrasound and correlation with thyroid function test. Thyroid results are mentioned in my first question. T4free. 0.4-1.80 results 1.31 T3 87-167 results 108 Tsh 0.34-4.82 results 0.46 I have pain it seems like behind the thyroid. Food gets stuck in my throat. My doctor asked me to do an ultrasound with guided biopsy. I have 14 nodules and the pathologist got a sample on the biggest nodules on my right thyroid lobe. the results we benign.
Avatar n tn Enlarged diffusely heterogeneous thyroid gland identified with multiple mixed cystic and solid nodules, as described above. Clinical correlation is advised and if clinically indicated a fine needle aspiration with ultrasound guidance can be performed.
Avatar f tn cyst at the upper pole with multiple small hypoechoic nodules ranging in size from 4 to 11 mm. as well as a 4mm. complex cyst. The TSH and Thyroid Antibodies are reportedly normal.
Avatar f tn My thyroid ultrasound showed a tiny cyst and a few tiny nodule (under 5mm) in the right thyroid, which is not palpably enlarged. My left thyroid shows 2 large nodule (approx 3cm each), one of which also has calcification. There are also several smaller nodules varying from a few mm to 1cm. He wants me to have an uptake scan to rule out malignancey, and if the nodules appear "hot", that means it is bening and since my hormone levels are normal, there would be no treatment.
