Hello Shirl000, I was just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis a few weeks ago and have been on naproxen for about a month now. It helps with the pain and some days are better than others. I went to a rheumatoid dr and she gave me other medications to take along with the naproxen to help alleviate the pain. Hope this helps and you're feeling better.

t control it, (according to the lady at the pregnancy risk hotline we talked to today) Rheumatoid ARthritis puts me at risk for still birth and preterm labor. She said the Enbrel can be taken up to one week before I deliver. Which is a miracle, really, because I have had such a horrible flare the last two days. And it's gotten bad REALLY fast. So I was all excited to be able to give myself an Enbrel shot - knowing how well it helps me.

My daughter was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis several months ago, and has tried Remicade unsuccessfully. Now, she has had 2 injections of Enbrel, and just today has noticed the staining on her hands. I don't know what to think, so I'd appreciate hearing from any of you.

When we started doing IVF treatments to get pregnant, I went off of the Enbrel. For the first two trimesters, my RA seemed to go into remission and I didn't need any treatments - which was a MIRACLE! my grandmother has arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and she gets injections of something called "enbrel" maybe ask your doctor about this? also she has to walk everyday or she stiffens up...there are some meds available for rheumatoid arthritis, but i am not sure if they work on osteo-arthritis...ask your doc about this med called enbrel...worth a shot...no pun intended...GL!!! when she gets bad she will also get shots of cortizone...

I have also been through the ringer with test for a yr and 4 months now, I finally found a Doctor that tells me ankylosing spondylitas, I just started Enbrel Friday and hope it works.

Ok, so been dealing with all sort of issues for the past 17yrs. Over that time I've been checked for Lupus, Lyme Disease, RA blah blah blah and for the most part all blood work has always come back normal/neg. And from having to switch Drs. etc. I always had to start over... Very nerve racking... Anyhow. Earlier this year my symptoms became unbearable and we started up the blood work once again. I don't have my results in front of me to give you exact tests etc.

I suffer from Arthritis and have taken both vicodins and tramadol. They dont really take away the pain -- just muddle up your circuits so you dont care as much. My doctor says "that's why they're called narcotics"...lol My rheumatoligist recommended that I try Enbrel or Remicade and I told him I didnt think I could afford it. He told me to ask how much it would cost me at the pharmacy when I left.

I have rheumatoid arthritis have been on methothrexate since December and am supposed to start enbrel next week. I got very sick the first of March with pneumonia and pleurisy. I took levaquin for 10 days and I still have the pain so the doctor ordered a ct scan. I have a strong family history of lung cancer in non smokers, I have been a smoker for over thirty years. This is my second bought of pneumonia in a year and a half. Please help me with the ct scan results.

A friend of mine has PA and has been taking Enbrel for years and she is in great health now. I started taking it 14 weeks ago after being so miserable for 4 years. I feel the best I have since getting sick 4 years ago. I urge you to speak to your Dr. about it. Take care.

My platelets were 93 but I always run a low platelet count since I have medicine inducted neutropenia being that I am on meds for rheumatoid arthritis....enbrel and prednisone (5 mg). I've never taken Enbrel since I have Osteoarthritis and not Rheumatoid but in going to the Enbrel.com website and reading the side effects, I would be extremely concerned about the side effects that you are experiencing.
