elisa test reactive

On Monday I went to the health dep and took one. It was also non reactive. They also took blood for Elisa test. Am i infected? Im scared.

So the test I had mentioned is conclusive at 4 months? Both tests I had were non reactive.

i was tested hiv-ab western blot and it was found to be indterminate then i was Hiv 2 EIA non-reactive, Hiv 2 immunobolt and it too was non-reactive. I was then tested for hepatitis B and C it was non-reactive also? Please someone tell me what is going on. I was tested in Oct.06 and was negative and after that have not had unprotected sex.

Elisa test (CMIA) 2 months ago which was non reactive. I again tested for hiv by Elisa 4th gen test yesterday and it also came non reactive But i m facing recurrent skin and gastro infections. I m in great depression because i m feeling that these are symptoms of hiv.

Hiye, this may seem a silly question but is the Elisa test that is used for HIV the same as the Elisa test used for rheumatoid arthritis?.. Is the Elisa just a standard antibody test that is not disease specific and if reactive then a specific test is used?..

Greetings I had protected sex, no oral play with a massage parlor worker 4 months back. This week my elisa test came back reactive while western blot test indicated negative result for hiv. I assume this is a false positive result for elisa. I also did 2 oraquick tests which were negative. Do you think o am infected?

Yes it is an ELISA and no it is not a reactive result. The cut off is 1.0 on an ELISA test.

Ask ko lang po kung ano po ang elisa test yan po kase ang huling recomendation ng huling company na inapplayan ko noon. Reactive po kase ang result noon ng Hepa B sa akin. Salamat po!

If you were tested minimum 3 months post exposure as you did, your initial test is trully false reactive. But, as i said, repeat elisa one more time just for your peace and satisfaction. You are negative.

Dear Doc (and forum readers), About a week or so ago I needed to get a medical check for work. When I got my results back, I was shocked to be told that the Elisa test came back as HIV reactive at 1.52. They tested it twice. I really have no idea what that number stands for, though. I don't have sex. No girlfriend. And I don't sleep with street workers. As far as I can remember, I have not come into contact with blood (except when killing mosquitoes).

I am in California now. I did a hiv test in a clinic. It was HIV-1/2 antibodies screening assay. It is non-reactive. My question is: Is it kind of ELISA?? Because I didn't see "ELISA" in the result.

The result was Non Reactive for the P24 and Antibodies for HIV1 and HIV2, As I said, the result was only Non Reactive without any number. is that mean they did the antibodies test by Rapid test not by Elisa, and do I need to do the Elisa?

A friend of mine took a random HIV test, the ELISA blood test at a diagnostic lab and the result came out positive. Completely aghast, my friend took a retest at the same lab and went to two other hospitals to get tested. One of the two hospitals conducted the ELISA on two separate kits, both these kits reported negative results.The other hospital too reported a negative result.

He showed me the catalouge of test which was 4th generation ELISA. After getting non-reactive result againg I thought that probably the tecnicians are not aware with the test or master to do that. Now, after 3 months of getting the lates negative result I do not know whther I have HIV or not. As long as I some thing like a stress comes to my mind, immediately goes forward to HIV. Forgive me to take your time. Please guide me what I should do. I appreciate your consideration in advance.
