Had unprotected sex with positive women, for 5 months ( year 2009 ) Had ars symptoms. Tested with 2 test with tridot(10min) india and remaining with done with purchasing kit resulted negitive at 2,3,4,5 months. After then I marriaged. I never tested,again tested 6,7 months negitive (6 month with lab)
8 months resulted positive in ghana with other kid.so I was upset and tested in other lab with spot test ( written on paper) resulted negitive.
Just did the test for me so quick and he gave me the kit when the C line showed dark red, and he told me it is negative I put the kit in pocket and then I took the test kit to my car, the kit was wet because of the blood and to dry it I put it under the sun in the care ( it is very sunny in my country) after 1 hour I looked at the kit again and it did show a faint line in the T .
line at T area. hardly visible. (Home Test). facts is that ACON Rapid test kit is not approved in USA. Heard about it..
2month after Results are Test Value: 0.022 ; Cut off Value: 0.300 ; Test Result: Negative
My few Questions:
1) What result I need to consider as a final result.
2) Why this ACON test kit showed me a very very faint line.
3) Do u have any info regardin this ACON test kit are they approved by FDA etc.
Now my question is I know I have to go for test in 4 weeks and then in 3 month but I really want to know what are my chances I have never been sexually active ( apart from masturbation) before this incidence.
Please reply I m very scared. Also there were no cut and bruises as it was not rough encounter.
m 100% clear after my 5 months exposure, as you remember 1 week ago I red the kit wrongly after 3 hours of the test ( it showed a faint line in the T area), but today I did another test it did come as follow:
The C line was: strong colure
The T line was: No colure at all but their was a small colure dot Instead of Strong/faint colure line !!!
The nurse was surprise because she said if there is something it should be as a line but not small dot.
I have test through HIV tridot test in evening in india ,lab technician gave me result in 30 minutes and told its negative.
But i keep that testing kit with me which was used ,next day morning i saw that kit and found very big blood spot at one side like its leaked.
I want to know that my test was ok or my lab technician gave results without checking in proper time.
