My husband had positive elisa test with 3.45 value in august 2016 for hepatitis c. Then he got treatment aND it showed 0.85 value in January 2017. He got checked his hepatitis C by elisa test again two days back. It showed a value of 85.0. He's active n doing job. No cough or any other symptoms. He did it as just a routine checkup. Please guide if elisa test can be 85.0 ?? What should we do next? Much worried! !

The Eliza test does not give you any information about how harmful or serious your hepatitis C is. That test only tells you if you have the antibodies to hep C. Your other laboratory studies and perhaps a biopsy, gives the information about how serious your disease.

i was tested hiv-ab western blot and it was found to be indterminate then i was Hiv 2 EIA non-reactive, Hiv 2 immunobolt and it too was non-reactive. 9 months ago she had no signs of Antibody for Hepatitis C but now it is positive.She was sent to have RIBA test but in ElISA test ,which was taken 2 times, the anti bodies were high! showing of virus activities in her body.
