Egg protein white or yolk

Common Questions and Answers about Egg protein white or yolk

protein

Avatar n tn Some people will be allergic to proteins in both the egg white and the egg yolk. Egg yolk allergies may be somewhat more common in adults. A small number of people who are allergic to eggs will develop an allergy to chicken or other poultry meats. So I guess the best treatment is to avoid eggs.
793908 tn?1294708709 Cream Cheese has very little protein in it and should be fine if your dog must be on a low protein diet. Eggs contain only 6 grams of protein (white has 3 grams, and the yolk has 3 grams).
793908 tn?1294708709 Now I give her only the egg white. No yolk. My Vet said to take her off all dairy...her urine is full of protein. The Vet said to try Peanut Butter with her pills...she licks it a few times & walks away...thats useless. This puts me in a big bind. Cushings Disease reeks havock on her appetite & she is ALWAYS hungry & thirsty. I just don't know what to give her. I have just about stopped giving her people food..which I used to do alot.
Avatar n tn Garlic is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Perhaps you have an infection. H. pylori or some other bacteria, Candida or some other fungus or perhaps something else entirely. You might need a second opinion and if that doesn't help, another opinion from an alternative practitioner who believes that Candida problems exist (which they do). Good luck.
Avatar n tn The sulfuric smell is from the yolk and it usually come about because you are consuming the yolk of the egg while it's still Intact, whether runny or well cooked. But once mixed in with the egg white, it's somewhat diluted and does not have the same effect. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn One whole egg, 1 cup of milk (skim, 2 percent, or whole), and 1 ounce of most varieties of cheese provide 8 grams of protein. Most of the protein offered in an egg is found in the white of the egg (about 1/3 of the protein is in the yolk). In addition, yogurt is a protein-rich dairy product, providing about 8 grams per 8-ounce cup. Pasteurized processed cheese products, such as cheese sauce or American cheese slices, typically provide less protein per ounce, about 5 grams.
Avatar n tn Is it a good sign or bad sign. I am so worried. i am 32 and we transfered 2 babies.. my blood work is to be on the 28th but how soon before then can I do a Preg.
1007653 tn?1259389567 I eat 4 egg whites and 1 yolk daily with some white bread, then I eat about 200 g of chicken/beef(very lean)/fish with some pasta/rice/potatoes and some veggies, then some protein shake with an apple and a banana. Later, I workout(almost always 2 hrs-6 times a week) weightlifting to bulk up, then get back home to eat again my 200g of chicken/beef/fish and the carbs with veggies.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know what what foods have NO Protein or LOW Protein that is good for dogs?? Are there any dog treats that are Protein Free or low Protein that is good for my Julie?? Any help is greatly appreciated.
740516 tn?1360946086 adding a small amount of fiber(psyllium husks or natural pumpkin) and lecithin from raw egg yolks(not from soy). fiber and egg yolk lecithin also work well to prevent hairballs from forming." I give Nemo both in his cooked diet that I prepare and have seen a marked decrease in his vomiting hairballs. note only use about 1 yolk per pound of food.
Avatar f tn one part of the egg could be an issue or it could be the whole egg. Also has she tried eating nuts or protein drink mixes for extra protein. (the mixes can be added to milk or water or even in cooking to add protein) If she really is allergic to eggs remember that the influenza vaccination could really bother her too so it might be a good idea not to get one.
Avatar n tn You need some fats in the diet for proper body functions and cellular health. You can add one yolk into those egg whites, or add some chicken once a day. Taking vitamins is good, but don't depend on them to replace dietary vitamins altogether. Your problem with absent periods may be due to the low protein in the diet, but you really should go see an OBGYN and get checked out just to be sure nothing else is going on.
Avatar f tn But I do have a little experience with my own dog who was diagnosed with very early stage renal failure. Any foods which are high in protein, or phosphorus, or resut in levels of nitrogenous waste after digestion -are bad news for dogs with weak kidneys. That more or less includes most foods which healthy dogs need and eat regularly, and which are good for them! So the diet has to be carefully thought out. I investigated all kinds of possible home cooked diets.
767435 tn?1235763415 some combo of oats and eggs - I like to do an oat/ egg white pancake (with a yolk or two tossed in) and sometimes throw in some sweet potato, too.
20022623 tn?1489119997 I am feeding Royal Canin Renal wet food (NOT dry) and I also supplement with a little protein (since the renal food is low protein and protein restriction is controversial in early to moderate kidney disease) and other low phosphorus foods since my dog is picky and won't eat the canned food alone. Low phosphorus is important in kidney disease.
Avatar f tn I'd suggest scrambled egg whites with vegetables. Or just use one yolk with two egg whies. Say have mixed vegetables that are leftovers and add them to these scrambled, or diced onions and peppers. Then hot green tea and water. For a mid-morning snack, have an apple or yogurt.
Avatar f tn My initial thought would be chicken (white meat because of the pancreatitis) or rinsed canned salmon, sweet potatoes, egg whites, and an Omega 3 supplement. The vet said she's been eating canned chicken meat with no problems. I would appreciate any advice you could offer.
1007653 tn?1259389567 5 egg whites and 1 yolk cooked with some turkey breast, 3 slices of whole-grain bread Meal 3: 200 - 250g of lean meat/fish/chicken with 200g of white rice/potatoes/beans, lettuce and some other veggies. And an apple Meal 4: protein shake (24g of protein per serving very low on fat and sugar, like 2 g on each side or less) 2 hour workout including heavy liftweighting and sometimes cardio, I'm trying to bulk up so it's very occasional.
10754959 tn?1412555291 Ginger has always loved scrambled eggs. Would the yolk be too much protein? if so, is it feasible to use the egg substitutes that are made with just egg whites? What's considered "a small amount" of chicken?
Avatar n tn You need protein at breakfast and vegetables. One way is to make an egg white scramble. I would suggest 3 eggs, but only use one yolk. The whites are really healthy, but one yolk would be okay. First chop up onion, green peppers, and even a roma tomato, and some greens like spinach or kale. Chives would be great. Add in a little sage or rosemary for all the health benefits.
Avatar n tn The needs for fat are higher in females so I don't see the point of only egg whites. Egg yolk fat/cholesterol had a bad wrap in the past, but now it's finally recognized as healthy cholesterol. You also need more protein, for muscle tone and repairs. Protein is also the most efficient macronutrient for fat loss, as long as it is not overdone. More salads & vegetables would be beneficial as well. . Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil and some lemon for flavor and added health benefits.
483733 tn?1326802046 I also like to keep hard boiled eggs on hand in the fridge for a quick snack or lunch - or even dinner. Another way I really enjoy eggs is to add a chopped up hard boiled egg to my tuna, either in a sandwich or stuffed into a nice, ripe tomato - very refreshing, light meal during the hot summer! I like eggs in pretty much any fashion - hard or soft boiled, poached, fried, omelets, scrambled - well, you get the picture!
Avatar m tn INGREDIENTS 1/4 C Plus 2 Tbsp packed dark brown sugar 1/3 C trans-free spread or vegetable shortening 1/4 C chunky natural peanut butter 1 lg egg yolk 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 C all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/8 tsp salt 2 oz semisweet baking chocolate, broken into 36 sm chunks DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment. Combine sugar, spread, peanut butter, egg yolk, and vanilla extract in large bowl and mix until well combined.
Avatar n tn If you have carbs, they should not be the major portion of the meal, so three panckaes won't work for breakfast. Eggs are okay but they should be egg whites without the yolks(a yolk now and then is no biggie of you have regular old high cholesterol and not a genetic disease). Beans or peas are fantastic--they are compplex carbohydrates and protein, wonderful for you. Corn is mostly carb.
1301482 tn?1325726591 omelet (1 egg or 2 whites and 1 yolk) w/ a couple of baby plum tomatoes, a big mushroom, a spring onion and a couple of spinach leaves. Avatar f tn scrambled egg whites (but not the yolk which is high in phosphorus), white sticky rice, with a little organic honey or I mixed with a tiny bit of butter (also low in phosphorus), with a small amt of boiled chicken breast or lean (I used 93%) ground beef. You can also try green beans--my dog loves them. Sweet potato is another option, if there's not a potassium problem--my dog loved them, I boiled and mashed it up, adding a little bit of butter and cinnamon for flavor.
