Egg protein white or yolk

Common Questions and Answers about Egg protein white or yolk

protein

Avatar n tn Some people will be allergic to proteins in both the egg white and the egg yolk. Egg yolk allergies may be somewhat more common in adults. A small number of people who are allergic to eggs will develop an allergy to chicken or other poultry meats. So I guess the best treatment is to avoid eggs.
231441 tn?1333892766 Generally allergy to egg is due to the white portion and not due to the yolk. However you have started egg pretty early. The yolk is too heavy for your little one to digest now. Wait till she is eight months plus. Then also introduce a boiled egg’s yolk, just a small bite to start with. Once she is comfortable with the taste and the item, slowly you can increase the portions to a whole egg yolk at a time. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted.
Avatar f tn I eat egg sandwiches all the time with the yoke. But I make sure the white part of my egg is cooked all the way. Is egg yoke okay too eat?
Avatar n tn It is unsafe to take only 800-900 calories! You need more calories to keep up with energy requirements and nutritional needs. See my original post. Just take your time with this program and do it right! What is the rush anyway? I think your gym instructor is a little too aggressive! You are a female, right? The needs for fat are higher in females so I don't see the point of only egg whites.
Avatar m tn ?????????? why r we using only egg yolk medium for the growwhat r the necessary ingrediens for the groth of viruses???????th of viruses???????? why can't we try for a new medium¿??????
Avatar f tn ve also developed a reaction to egg yolk since giving birth. Egg white is okay, but I get significant stomach cramping with egg yolk. I'm not sure if the egg and alcohol reactions are related. Thank you in advance.
703362 tn?1427766328 A large egg contains 6 grams of protein, 4.5 grams of fat (1.5 of which is saturated fat) and 212 milligrams of cholesterol and it supplies 78 calories. By nature an egg is protein rich, low in sodium and contains vitamins and minerals. Eggs contain biotin, a B vitamin; calcium and cephalin. Egg yolk is one of the few foods that contain vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. In addition, eggs are inexpensive, delicious and easy to prepare.
20022623 tn?1489116397 I am feeding Royal Canin Renal wet food (NOT dry) and I also supplement with a little protein (since the renal food is low protein and protein restriction is controversial in early to moderate kidney disease) and other low phosphorus foods since my dog is picky and won't eat the canned food alone. Low phosphorus is important in kidney disease.
1007653 tn?1259385967 I eat 4 egg whites and 1 yolk daily with some white bread, then I eat about 200 g of chicken/beef(very lean)/fish with some pasta/rice/potatoes and some veggies, then some protein shake with an apple and a banana. Later, I workout(almost always 2 hrs-6 times a week) weightlifting to bulk up, then get back home to eat again my 200g of chicken/beef/fish and the carbs with veggies.
10754959 tn?1412551691 Egg substitutes are never a good idea, mostly because of the additives commonly contained in them to preserve the product. Egg white is 90% water into which is dissolved 10% proteins, so every time you give egg white you can imagine how much protein you may be giving. The other problem with eggs is the quality of them. Hens are often fed manufactured foodstuffs, all containing various chemicals and additives including some medicines - and it all ends up in the resulting eggs.
767435 tn?1235759815 some combo of oats and eggs - I like to do an oat/ egg white pancake (with a yolk or two tossed in) and sometimes throw in some sweet potato, too.
916516 tn?1245885188 I eat the 2 egg white and one egg and make a egg sandwich each morning w/ cheese one one slice of protein bread. Love it!
Avatar f tn one part of the egg could be an issue or it could be the whole egg. Also has she tried eating nuts or protein drink mixes for extra protein. (the mixes can be added to milk or water or even in cooking to add protein) If she really is allergic to eggs remember that the influenza vaccination could really bother her too so it might be a good idea not to get one.
Avatar f tn scrambled egg whites (but not the yolk which is high in phosphorus), white sticky rice, with a little organic honey or I mixed with a tiny bit of butter (also low in phosphorus), with a small amt of boiled chicken breast or lean (I used 93%) ground beef. You can also try green beans--my dog loves them. Sweet potato is another option, if there's not a potassium problem--my dog loved them, I boiled and mashed it up, adding a little bit of butter and cinnamon for flavor.
483733 tn?1326798446 Another way I really enjoy eggs is to add a chopped up hard boiled egg to my tuna, either in a sandwich or stuffed into a nice, ripe tomato - very refreshing, light meal during the hot summer! I like eggs in pretty much any fashion - hard or soft boiled, poached, fried, omelets, scrambled - well, you get the picture!
4185614 tn?1353272513 Iam 20weeks n been eating egg since I was 16weeks. Fried eggs mostly was having egg mayo until another prego women at work told me it was bad for the bby. Why thoe?
Avatar f tn I just looked up an egg white for you and it says an average large egg white with no fat added is about 17 calories. I also buy liquid egg whites in the containers. I don't eat the yolks either so I find that by buying egg whites in a container, it's less wasteful. 1/4 cup of the liquid egg whites (or egg substitiute with no yolk added) is 30 calores and 0g fat. Let's assume your slice of toast was 80-90 calories. You only had about 100-110 calories for breakfast.
Avatar f tn I figure since I don't have EWCM (or any CM for that matter), that I should use real egg whites! Apparently it has worked for some people and I did a little research and it seems to be safe. I know I am one crazy person and I'm going to try this. I set an egg out to reach room temp. I'll let y'all know how it goes if anyone cares to know!
Avatar n tn If you do decide to microwave an egg, crack the egg into a bowl or coffee mug, and pierce the yolk. Otherwise, your microwave will never be the same. ;D For a fun YouTube video of an exploding egg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?
9214378 tn?1408881584 Egg yolks contain about three times the amount of omega-6 to omega-3, so I have always said if you are going to give eggs, give three egg whites to one egg yolk, so the balance becomes stable and beneficial. Egg whites have (obviously) far more omega-3, but they are also high in cholesterol, so feeding too much is not good for a dog's heart or cirulatory system. A much better source of omega-3 is salmon oil, as this has many beneficial properties and is easy to digest.
