408901 tn?1274687198 Have you tried putting the protein powder in apple juice(or a different type of juice) with water would be gross. Why do you have to take protein powder?
Avatar n tn Thanks!....So how about egg protein based shakes..Are eggs considered dairy products?
Avatar f tn The reason that I ask is that uncooked egg white contains a protein that is a trypsin-inhibitor. This protein effectively decreases the ability to digest and absorb protein. (Most people think avididn, which inhibits biotin utililzation as the major problem with raw eggs, when in effect, the trypsin-inhibitor can cause more serious problems if enough raw eggs are fed).
Avatar m tn i forget to say , maybe is important as you say me for muscle injury, i have more time that practice gym with much weight. i had eat more white egg. 8 egg on day.
703362 tn?1427766328 A large egg contains 6 grams of protein, 4.5 grams of fat (1.5 of which is saturated fat) and 212 milligrams of cholesterol and it supplies 78 calories. By nature an egg is protein rich, low in sodium and contains vitamins and minerals. Eggs contain biotin, a B vitamin; calcium and cephalin. Egg yolk is one of the few foods that contain vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. In addition, eggs are inexpensive, delicious and easy to prepare.
360318 tn?1340393363 Nuts, though high in fat, are actually quite heart healthy and very high in protein. Beans are another good source of protein. All animal food is high in protein, with fish being high in fat but good fat. You have a lot of choices. It's not the amount of fat that's important, since most protein foods contain fat, it's the kind of fat and the variety in the diet -- eating a lot of vegetables, for example, provides the antioxidants that help prevent fat from being a problem.
916516 tn?1245885188 I eat the 2 egg white and one egg and make a egg sandwich each morning w/ cheese one one slice of protein bread. Love it!
Avatar f tn 1/2 cup potato or pasta or 1/3 cup rice (15g), some type of meat (protein), a non-starchy vegetable, a serving of fruit (15g) and a dinner roll (15g) Snacks: Greek yogurt (15-17g), a protein bar (17g), a serving of fruit (15g), string cheese, cottage cheese, 1 oz. cheese and 6 saltine crackers (15g), 1 serving of nuts... My advice is to know which foods have the most carbs and make sure to check the nutrition label to make sure how much you can eat.
Avatar f tn I can't stand eggs when I'm pregnant. Something about them makes me sick. I have had two healthy babies so far without eating an egg every day. You just need protein so that's why people say you should eat eggs.
4744855 tn?1358656623 Personally I would not recommend any shakes. It is best to increase protein intake through cereals, oats, lean cut of meats and egg whites. You can opt for a healthy diet and lifestyle. Exercise regularly. With time you will gain weight and a toned and fit body. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar n tn A person who reacts only to a protein in the egg yolk may be able to easily tolerate egg whites, and vice versa. Some people will be allergic to proteins in both the egg white and the egg yolk. Egg yolk allergies may be somewhat more common in adults. A small number of people who are allergic to eggs will develop an allergy to chicken or other poultry meats. So I guess the best treatment is to avoid eggs.
Avatar f tn In my attempts to eat more protein, I've noticed that virtually every type of granola bar or convenience food with added protein is using soy lecithin. Can someone clear up which types of soy are bad for the thyroid and which are ok to eat?
Avatar f tn I recently (3 weeks ago) started a new diet plan called Transitions that is based on the low glycemic index and high protein. The basis is to eat protein with every meal so your blood sugar stabilizes throughout the day and you no longer crave sweets etc. Since I began this plan, my reflux symptoms have been non stop, through the roof and no amount of medicine seems to be able to control it. Before this, my reflux was under control by taking one Nexium a day.
Avatar f tn Yes had the hospital found it today 2 type of protein they saud i was fine thi
Avatar f tn Never heard that.
10754959 tn?1412551691 Ginger has always loved scrambled eggs. Would the yolk be too much protein? if so, is it feasible to use the egg substitutes that are made with just egg whites? What's considered "a small amount" of chicken?

Avatar f tn Well, I've searched a lot and all I've found is that L-arginine can make herpes (HSV) replicate and get worse. But I haven't found a study saying that it could be the same with HPV. I bought a protein supplement of egg protein and I've read that it has lysine and lutein which seems to have a good effect in the clearance of HPV, but it also has L-Arginine and there are mixed opinions about it... Anyone has tried it with success? Btw...
Avatar f tn Egg whites, egg white omelets, carbmaster (similar to yogurt) from Krogers
Avatar m tn I want to build muscles and I am vegetarian and my protein source is milk, egg and if at some proteins like Whey Protein. Can someone plz let me knw if my doc was wrong? I want to pursue bodybuilding, plz help.
Avatar m tn None of the meals have to be large, just have some yogurt, fruit or veffies, and nuts, egg (s), chicken, or fish ( rhose last two, well cooked) so that you get your protein. Of course, peanut butter is a good choice, too, as it has plenty of lots of protein and good fat Hope this helps you with some or all of your sides.
