Avatar f tn If he wants to stay the cereal route he should look for higher protein ones. It would be great if he could add eggs to his breakfast or even take hard boiled eggs to work. Ensure he increases his beans and legumes as well. Is it possible to join a volleyball team or an exercise club that you can go to together? Or look at getting an eliptical or treadmill for home and put it in front of the TV. Good luck!
360318 tn?1340393363 Nuts, though high in fat, are actually quite heart healthy and very high in protein. Beans are another good source of protein. All animal food is high in protein, with fish being high in fat but good fat. You have a lot of choices. It's not the amount of fat that's important, since most protein foods contain fat, it's the kind of fat and the variety in the diet -- eating a lot of vegetables, for example, provides the antioxidants that help prevent fat from being a problem.
638373 tn?1249407969 If you notice, athletes eat a lot of eggs and egg protein. Could also have been sulphur, essential to skin and hair and joints. When you're starving, the body will crave something that feeds it easily.
Avatar m tn Hello, Hair abnormalities are a side effect of the drug Accutane and in most cases the hair should grow back once the drug treatment is completed. Your hair needs vitamins and minerals to grow that it can only get from the bloodstream. So if you want to speed up your hair growth and thickness you should limit the intake of fat and salts. Selenium, zinc and magnesium are some of the minerals that your hair needs and also amino acids will help in growing hairs.

Avatar n tn No raw meat/fish/egg, no unpasteurized dairy. Lots of protein (meat, tofu, beans, nuts, milk etc) and calcium.
Avatar f tn I can't stand eggs when I'm pregnant. Something about them makes me sick. I have had two healthy babies so far without eating an egg every day. You just need protein so that's why people say you should eat eggs.
631676 tn?1333718203 I did have all those tests for multiple miscarriage with the exception of hysteroscopy. This was done prior to multiple m/c testing during infertility testing. I did have some abnormal results. It sounds like in your case, your miscarriages were due to "random errors". So that's defintely a plus. Just keep trying and you'll get that good egg which translates to good healthy embryo.
4744855 tn?1358656623 Personally I would not recommend any shakes. It is best to increase protein intake through cereals, oats, lean cut of meats and egg whites. You can opt for a healthy diet and lifestyle. Exercise regularly. With time you will gain weight and a toned and fit body. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
612551 tn?1450022175 Thanks for the warning, but while I have read Tea Tree Oil is toxic for cats I had not seen any warning about dogs. I believe humans can use Tea Tree Oil for treatment of some mouth/gum problems...don't take this as a recommendation but Tea Tree Oil is sold in health food stores for human use. My wife had used it on her hair for something, I don't recall what.
Avatar f tn Oh, those are cute little dogs. Don't know that I'd want to be dealing with a pure white coat al the time. :-) Your dog is young and may not yet be into it's full adult coat. Add to the fact it is Summer. Yes, you need to feed a good quality food. A big influence on your dog's coat will also be genetics. If there are full, long coats in your dog's background, the dog will be more likely to have inherited that. Do not overbathe your dog.
Avatar n tn It will grow in a few months provided you do not put pressure on the hair again.
Avatar n tn A person who reacts only to a protein in the egg yolk may be able to easily tolerate egg whites, and vice versa. Some people will be allergic to proteins in both the egg white and the egg yolk. Egg yolk allergies may be somewhat more common in adults. A small number of people who are allergic to eggs will develop an allergy to chicken or other poultry meats. So I guess the best treatment is to avoid eggs.
Avatar f tn Food makes a big difference in my kids behaviour. Mainly Omega 3 (Udo's Oil) in a smoothie every morning, and a little protein every few hours, even just a couple of small bites of meat, a few nuts or a boiled egg. They argue less, are calmer, cope better, and more cheerful when I do this. Especially if behaviour seems to be always at certain times of day, I would make sure they have that little bit of protein a half hour or so before it would usually happen.
Avatar f tn Then use a mixture of an egg yolk and 1/3 cup of mayo... Leave in your hair for 20 min, then rinse it and shampoo and conditioner your hair ... If it is greasy after then xnay the mayo.
Avatar m tn Hair loss can be genetic if you have males in your family that went bald at an early age. You may not eating enough protein which may cause hair loss too, but usually in clumps. From your height and weight you wrote you are about 18lbs underweight for your height.
Avatar n tn True, some cats will vomit hair, especially long hair ones; but these foods which claim to be great for hairball prevention, don’t you think should be working better than this? How they SHOULD work is they are supposed to have some type of digestive enzymes and FIBER source as these aid digestion, and fiber gets rid of ANYTHING the body cannot digest, like hair. So, your cat vomiting is a sing that what you’re feeding her isn’t helping with hairballs.
Avatar n tn Ive had HCV for 20 years or so and have always had a head of hair. Actually too much hair. Thick & Curly. My friend in texas has a hair thinning problem, and she went to a specialist and they told her it was lack of protein to her body. But then again they checked her thyroid and other factors as well. I do know you can get thinning hair or hair loss during HCV treatment due to Peg and I am not sure about INC & Riba.
