Egg protein raw

Common Questions and Answers about Egg protein raw

protein

Avatar f tn Never heard that.
Avatar m tn There are a lot of risks w/raw eggs. You can get the same protein from eating a cooked egg without the chance of getting sick.
Avatar f tn The reason that I ask is that uncooked egg white contains a protein that is a trypsin-inhibitor. This protein effectively decreases the ability to digest and absorb protein. (Most people think avididn, which inhibits biotin utililzation as the major problem with raw eggs, when in effect, the trypsin-inhibitor can cause more serious problems if enough raw eggs are fed).
Avatar f tn Split peas contain 16 g protein per serving, spinach has 13 and chickpeas have 8 g protein/serving. Avocados have 1 g protein per ounce. A medium peach has 2 g protein and 149 grams of dried figs have 5 g protein. I love avocado smoothies, but avocados have a lot of calories, so you have to watch that. Peaches would be okay. You can make a smoothie using soy milk, and sugar free chocolate pudding mix, but the only protein you'd get is from the soy milk.

767435 tn?1235759815 Eat small meals frequently( every 3 hours or so) with a lean protein(grilled skinless chicken breast, fish, tuna, etc.) veggies and complex carb (old fashioned oats, sweet potato, brown rice). Try to only eat real food ( no chips, candy, soda/ diet soda, junk food, artificial stuff). Eat breakfast. Eat more on the days that you work out.
Avatar n tn No raw meat/fish/egg, no unpasteurized dairy. Lots of protein (meat, tofu, beans, nuts, milk etc) and calcium.
Avatar m tn I just got an expensive juicer and started juicing last week. However, I am not sure if the raw veggie juicing is a healthy choice for our injured & damaged liver. I saw someone suggested to steam it instead of eating raw. Please kindly comment. Currently the list of veggies I used for juicing are: Garlic Onion broccoli Beetroot cucumber lemons Apples pears grapes celery carrots Ginger Green leafs (all kinds, like cabbage, kale, Lettuce, etc) Another related question.
5615074 tn?1378316840 Raw eggs are a no-no during pregnancy, because they sometimes carry germs such as salmonella. Salmonella is a type of bacteria that can cause food poisoning, and in very rare cases, be fatal. Contracting salmonella during pregnancy rarely harms your baby directly, but the high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration that accompany a bad case of food poisoning could cause preterm labor or miscarriage. that's what I found on babycenter website.
Avatar n tn I think the recommendations above have some mistakes in them, at least in my humble opinion. Cashews and other nuts do have lots of fat but are excellent sources of protein and fiber and are recommended for heart health. They are excellent as replacements for eating too much animal protein. Almonds and walnuts are probably better as they have less fat, but cashews are still a great food. Wheat instead of rice?
1001085 tn?1287751226 ve been drinking it not thinking a thing about it until yesterday at dinner at my family dinner when my sister told me i couldnt drink it bc it has raw egg in it?! I never even knew that or had a second thought about it. But then my aunt said it was safe since its pasterized and they would have to put a disclaimer on the label if they were selling a product with raw egg. So does anyone know whether it is okay to drink it or not? It was hood light.
152660 tn?1291755571 this you can make yourself, save your raw egg shells from baking or morning breakfast, dry them for abt 3-5 min in a hot oven, let cool than put them in a small grinder...I use one of those small magic bullet machines...grind up to a fine powder...use 3/4 teasp of this per lb of meat calcium is very important. if you son't wish to make your own esp, you can buy bone meal. 2.1/2 capsule LECITHIN...for Vitamin A&D....also hairball control. I buy this in powder form from iherb.
2028721 tn?1356682003 For breakfast, you might try a hard boiled egg (protein/fat), 1-2 slices of whole grain toast (protein) with peanut butter (protein/fat) and sliced banana.... ever had a banana sandwich?? Yummy... Or you could do 2 scrambled eggs, loaded with fresh baby spinach, red/green/orange sweet peppers, mushrooms and chopped tomatoes.... another yummy. Of course, breakfast depends on how much time you have in the morning, before work, school, etc.
Avatar f tn Is it possible to be allergic to raw egg (like cookie dough) but not cooked eggs? When I eat cookie dough, or anything with raw egg, it makes my mouth swell and itch, however I don't have a problem once it's cooked. Is it possible to allergic to a combination of ingredients but not when the ingedrients are are individual?
Avatar m tn Is the listed cholesterol for the -raw egg- or for the -cooked egg-? or does cooked over raw have any bearing on the listed cholesterol numbers at all?
Avatar f tn As long as it's pasturized its fine. Pretty well all the egg nog you buy in the store is pasturized it'll say on the carton. You might want to avoid homemade that could be made with raw eggs or alcohol.
Avatar n tn Thanks!....So how about egg protein based shakes..Are eggs considered dairy products?
Avatar f tn The egg nog you buy from the store doesnt use raw eggs though so youre fine
