4744855 tn?1358656623 Personally I would not recommend any shakes. It is best to increase protein intake through cereals, oats, lean cut of meats and egg whites. You can opt for a healthy diet and lifestyle. Exercise regularly. With time you will gain weight and a toned and fit body. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar n tn It is unsafe to take only 800-900 calories! You need more calories to keep up with energy requirements and nutritional needs. See my original post. Just take your time with this program and do it right! What is the rush anyway? I think your gym instructor is a little too aggressive! You are a female, right? The needs for fat are higher in females so I don't see the point of only egg whites.
Avatar f tn Egg whites, cabbage, sweet potato.
Avatar f tn I can't stand eggs when I'm pregnant. Something about them makes me sick. I have had two healthy babies so far without eating an egg every day. You just need protein so that's why people say you should eat eggs.
Avatar f tn Good snacks include a whole grain and a protein or a fruit and a protein. Examples of a whole grain and a protein are crackers and cheese, a peanut butter sandwich and pretzels with yogurt. Examples of a fruit and a protein are banana with peanut butter, dried fruit and nuts, fruit with cottage cheese or an apple with string cheese. For breakfast have two servings of fruit, one serving of protein, and three servings of whole grains.
1395754 tn?1286478428 In moderation, eat eggs, soya and chicken products, You can drink milk and whey protein products and eat lots of nuts and seeds such as sunflower, walnuts, almonds etc. Aim for atleast 75 gms of protein a day. Your body needs the protein to help the egg fertilization process and help the egg implant properly into the uterus. 4. Keep a positive frame of mind and pray to god to help you at this time. 5.
Avatar m tn just wondering if any one out there has any good healthy ideas for breakfast i wil be making up a list of meal plans and putting there on here for every one to use.
Avatar f tn Try decreasing sugar and starch calories and eat more vegetables and lean protein. Have protein in the morning, and even better, have protein plus vegetables in the morning. Like make egg scrambles with vegetables.
Avatar m tn There are a lot of risks w/raw eggs. You can get the same protein from eating a cooked egg without the chance of getting sick.
360318 tn?1340393363 Nuts, though high in fat, are actually quite heart healthy and very high in protein. Beans are another good source of protein. All animal food is high in protein, with fish being high in fat but good fat. You have a lot of choices. It's not the amount of fat that's important, since most protein foods contain fat, it's the kind of fat and the variety in the diet -- eating a lot of vegetables, for example, provides the antioxidants that help prevent fat from being a problem.
Avatar n tn hi, i'm 167cm with 79kg. it is obviously overweight and too fat! would like to keep fit and lose weight until 65(final target). i had tried to diet(eat less or drink skim milk for dinner). it has good impact, i lose 4 kg within one month, but i got hair fall aft tat... what should i do? i noe dieting not the best way, should do more exercise, but a suitable diet should help me more. any suggestion for me so that my hair dun fall too much...
Avatar n tn ) i m generally a skinny guy idk but its weird when i start doing gym i got muscles n that are big at right places ;) but when i leave the gym for like 15 days or so .all my muscle tissues hide somewhere in skin n i m thin AGAIN !! i m like oh dude ! wtf ...
Avatar n tn I think the recommendations above have some mistakes in them, at least in my humble opinion. Cashews and other nuts do have lots of fat but are excellent sources of protein and fiber and are recommended for heart health. They are excellent as replacements for eating too much animal protein. Almonds and walnuts are probably better as they have less fat, but cashews are still a great food. Wheat instead of rice?
1269982 tn?1271173219 If this is not the case, the protein meal shakes may have something to do with your weight gain. Protein shakes are actually not good for weight loss and are used primarily to gain body mass which may then be converted into muscle. Also certain brands of protein shakes actually have a high level of carbohydrates in them which could result in your weight gain.
4185614 tn?1353272513 Iam 20weeks n been eating egg since I was 16weeks. Fried eggs mostly was having egg mayo until another prego women at work told me it was bad for the bby. Why thoe?
Avatar n tn my diet is ok like other people of my age rather more than that.m medicaaly fit n hv tried supplemnts bt nthn helped out. m really lookin forward to ur advice.
Avatar f tn Isnt tracking food great! I do it too and it's made such a difference in the types of food I eat as well as how much I eat. It's definitely a great habit to get into and is really helpful in the long run. Meat is a great source of protein but there are a lot of other ways to get your protein in. If you don't like beef, chicken or turkey, what about fish? It's very good for you and high in protein.
Avatar m tn Same with whey. For building muscle, some prefer egg protein, but most seem to like the whey. Organic is great, but when you're isolating something down to the protein, it's more important it be done correctly. An organic product that uses the wrong kind of method of isolating the protein isn't going to be very helpful. If muscle is what you're after and not health, go ask the biggest guy at your gym. It's obviously working.
703362 tn?1427766328 A large egg contains 6 grams of protein, 4.5 grams of fat (1.5 of which is saturated fat) and 212 milligrams of cholesterol and it supplies 78 calories. By nature an egg is protein rich, low in sodium and contains vitamins and minerals. Eggs contain biotin, a B vitamin; calcium and cephalin. Egg yolk is one of the few foods that contain vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. In addition, eggs are inexpensive, delicious and easy to prepare.
1282925 tn?1286412039 Just chatting with a friend recently who has me all confused now about various healthy choices. Number one question, we've had 2 nutritionists tell us that for cholesterol issues its best to eat 2 egg yolks a week, however my friend who apparently does lots of her own research, says that the latest studies are actually showing that since egg yolks help bring up the good cholesterol its good to eat lots of eggs and not to limit yourself to 2 per week. What do you all think about this?
Avatar f tn I try to eat healthy snacks during the day so I can have dessert at night. Key word is try. I have a massive sweet tooth.
Avatar f tn Well, I've searched a lot and all I've found is that L-arginine can make herpes (HSV) replicate and get worse. But I haven't found a study saying that it could be the same with HPV. I bought a protein supplement of egg protein and I've read that it has lysine and lutein which seems to have a good effect in the clearance of HPV, but it also has L-Arginine and there are mixed opinions about it... Anyone has tried it with success? Btw...
