Two years ago my doctor increaed my levothyroxine from 50mcg to 150mcg. About 4 weeks later I started having a very strong forceful heartbeats. I had to go to a cardiologist who determined that high dose being increased fo 50mcg to 150mcg had probably caused the heart beating so hard. I learned the dosage in supposed to be increased very slowly. Today I still believe I have this in my systerm. I still have symptons of a pounding heart.
When you had Ambien to the mix of medications you are taking which has common side effects of sleepiness or unusual drowsiness - even after the initial effects - it's no wonder you are experiencing some "sluggish" feelings.
Obviously it's a good idea to have some labs done, checking all systems including liver function, iron levels, etc - and a general work-up or physical to rule out all possibilities of any disease conditions.
I just want to get the Pain under Control so I can come off this Crap! All of these Meds have So Many Side Effects like Dry Mouth which has caused me to have my Very 1st Set of Cavities Ever and Dizziness, Headache, or Drowsiness! I take Gabapentin too but all it does is make me Dizzy & Disoriented! I hate not being able to get a Decent Night's Sleep & I wake up So Stiff that I feel like I have been hit by a Truck!
I've been feeling like I'm getting to much sleep too I don't get to sleep 12 hrs bc I have an almost 2 yr old but I feel like i could very easily. This is my fourth baby and I've always felt so tired with each pregnancy but this time is the worst! I have an appt. Tuesday and I'm going to have the doc see if my iron levels are low or what else could be causing my extreme tiredness. I'm tired of being tired lol.

It seems that I have difficulty concentrating, focusing, thinking when I get too much sleep. For me too much sleep seems to be more than 6 hours sleep. However, if I don't get 7 or 8 hours of sleep then I am tired. If I get 8 hours of sleep then I am not tired, but then I have brain fog, like I'm half awake. I saw a sleep doctor and he didn't think that I had a sleep related problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your symptoms are for the most part meaningless. All humans sleep, some more than others. You'll have days where you sleep more than usual too, it doesn't really mean too much. We all urinate as well, infection or increase in oral intake can cause a frequency in the trips. Back pain can be from strain, sleeping wrong or moving wrong.
I am in the process of trying to find my problems of wanting to sleep all the time, and have no ambition of doing anything..and not much interest.
I have been on paxil for depression and anxiety for years, last Sept my doctor added wellbutrin. I have been looking up the side effects from the two meds to find out if they are the cause of this. feeling of being so tired and not being able to function .....would they cause these emotions ?
When I was 18, I was only about 115 pounds at 5'6 and I was drinking about a liter or more of vodka a day. I knew I was developing a problem when my hands started shaking and I was sick to my stomach until I drank again. In my opinion you're fine, but if you ever feel that you are drinking too much, too often then try to stop and talk to someone about it. Good luck!
Hi, I was on Paxil for about a year and hated the side effects from it. I gained 40 lbs and would sleep 18 hours a day. It did take away my depression but it wasn't worth the side effects i had. I decided to whean off it and did it too fast. I ended up in the hospital from withdrawl syndrome but all the doctor could do was tell me to whean slower. I was miserable and decided i couldn't do it. I switched to other meds until I found one that worked for me... Celexa.
ve recently been starting to think if my father loves me too much. When i was younger he always wanted to be taking naps with me, I would either sleeping on his chest or next to him, he liked to hold me. Your route with cancer has similarities with mine. Two port surgeries, mastectomy,chemo, radiation, mastectomy and DIEP perforator flap reconstruction. I went back to work 6/15/09 and seriously had issues remembering what I do and having to teach it at the same time. You learn coping strategies, thank goodness.

Few of the individuals are known to suffer from parasomnias esp. when they are on non-benzodiazepine sedatives, drug abuse etc. otherwise no definitive cause exists in few individuals apart from stress, positive past history of abuse etc.
The associated symptoms with the following disorder are confusional wakefulness, sleep paralysis, nightmares and night terrors.
That is very normal in the first trimester. I would sleep 12 hours and still feel tired. When your body gets used to the hormones you won't be feeling so tired. Second trimester is the BEST. You'll have energy and feel great.
25 Weeks and can't seem to sleep anymore. if I do sleep then its for an hour or two and not a regular 8-10 hours of sleeping during the night. if I do force myself to sleep I wake up with a huge migraine and on top of that I don't have much of an appetite anymore. any suggestions or comments on what should do?
