Are there any harmful long-term effects of DXM? For example, if you take one bottle of Robitussin every month. Also, is there a difference between the cough syrup and the gel caps?
My doctor is now suggesting that I slowly stop taking Xanax and replace it with Paxil. With all of the horrible stories and side effects of Paxil, is there a reason that I just can't continue taking Xanax as I have been? I do realize that it is habit forming, but with Paxil, you can't just quit taking that either and I don't see that Xanax has the same horror stories attached that Paxil does.
I read the thread here, only a couple of ladies here mentioned that the side effects went away after few weeks or a couple of months, most of the ladies here quit Yaz after a month. I dont think i can stand another week.
15 got about 2 hrs sleep, those dreams are real strange, every time I get to a good bit the bloody legs wake me up.I am feeling the effects of sleep deprivation now, and am having trouble typing this, very sluggish and the legs are crawling at the moment, also started sneezing real bad, eyes so sore.Shoulders and back also a bit painful..
Best to see a doctor and have them rule out any neurological concerns and then they might refer you to a psychiatrist depending. All of this is treatable. Of course the use of any illegal drugs can sometimes have long term effects including worsening or triggering the onset of schizophrenia but all this would have to be discussed with a doctor as its not clear as to what is going on and they would be able to understand it in full.
I see a lot of fear out there on this and am wondering why. It appears to have less side effects than many harsh prescription drugs and if it can help people who are suffering from chronic pain, cancer, MS and other medical issues, then why not? What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it should be allowed strictly for medical reasons? Why or why not?
It can become such an integral part of their lives that they feel like they are living in a haze most of the time and are missing out on some very important parts of life. The first thing to know when learning how to quit smoking weed is that the drug is not chemically addictive! Pot is not an addictive drug like heroin or cigarettes as there is no physical craving that occurs when you do not take the drugs.
I guess the question is whether smoking while taking oxycodone could trigger sone sort of chemical/hormonal imbalance. I only took the percocet for 3 days because I was experiencing very high anxiety and claustrophobia (I took my cast off with a pair of shears). ever since I've had a general nervousness that seems to be more intense in the afternoons and evenings. I was just hoping that someone esle might have had the same experience and could point me in the right direction.
I have done my best to warm people about the sight threatening side effects from Topamax, but this last week I have seen the worst case scenario up close and personal. This patient was a 65 year-old man on only 25 mg of Topamax a day for headaches. It took us over 8 hours just to get the eye pressure under 50 (which is still about 3 times normal.) He was rapidly losing vision from an attack of acute angle closure glaucoma IN BOTH EYES.
Finally this year I picked up the smokes again and a lot of the symptoms went away , now there back still smoking but I want to quit again .... I don't know what panic attacks are but boy today I feel out of this world I just can't calm down ... Never been in meds for it ... Debating weather I should ??
If you're going to smoke, refrain from smoking in the house and smoking in front of your kids. It's not fair to our innocent children- to be afflicted with health problems because their parents can't excercise willpower in front of their kids. I am speaking here as a smoker not someone whose anti-smoking. I am practicing what I preach and I wouldn't dream of ever exposing my children to second hand smoke- they deserve the best start in life.
It affects you body by making it more susceptible to illness and slows the effects of anti-biotics, as well as taking longer to heal from minor scratched. It also takes away the need for exercise and beneficial effects of it. It affects your Spirit by both harming the mind and body. That is why it is so hard to stop and why your pregress is amazing. You have truly done an amazing thing. Here are ways to rebuild the three elements.....
Used to smoke a lot of weed myself and had simaliar experiences with the haze and lack of sleep. The sleep situation will improve try an exercise, drink plenty of water and eat good food and things should improve.I found the haze came from being tired and started to fade once i got some good nights sleep.
If you dont want to use it your self why would anyone want it legalised, what reason could there be, I actually do believe its more harmful than alcohol, ..and what, about the smoking part so then its okay to smoke, I thought the left wanted to be rid of smoking ...so the kids of cigs& pot smoking parents will then for sure copy them ..Sorry but I just dont get it... ...
I also lost about 15 pounds because I was no linger eating as much and started smoking 2x the amount of cigs. Weed for me was a antidepressant and it calmed me down a ton. I strongly believe in the medicinal values or marijuana and while there are many negative effects of it most were positive for me. However I can no longer smoke due to the job field I'm in and dealing with the SEC and money its a no no to fail a drug test.
you may have triggered off depersonalization/derealization. i did that by smoking marijuana. lay off any form of alcohol or drug for the next week, if that does not help then i would most certainly say you have done so. if you have anxiety you shouldn't do any drug it can have terrible effects. i learned the hard way, for your sake i hope you have triggered off something serious. i would like to hear back from you please keep me updated on your condition.
Answer - Ultram (Tramadol) Withdrawal Tramadol is highly addictive. Normally your doctor would reduce intake slowly. Various withdrawal effects may include shakes, shivers, diarrhea, nausea, and possible flu-like symptoms. Not all people experience will all withdrawal symptoms, and some people may experience others not listed here. The length of time withdrawal symptoms occur can range from a couple of days to weeks depending on how high your dose was and how long you were on the drug.
) 2) Alcohol can be cheaper than prescriptions and you don't need a doctor to get it 3) Alcohol consumption preserves a link to social contacts (healthy peers and pre-MS self) 4) The brain is soon convinced it needs everything it is taking for daily survival 5) They may not believe there are any other options (no better life / no pain without drugs) 6) It is easy to give up on living with MS when your main support person agrees it's too hard 7) The thick filter of toxic brain haze will block the
North Korea put more neuclear poison in the air than a life time of smoking pot can ever come close to. And there are no studies currently being done on the medical effects of marijuana. only things coming out about marijuana are 'accidental' findings-like pot stops Alzeheimers and slows lung cancer and helps hcv patients achieve svr. If pot was so bad, I think we would have studies coming out of the Netherlands saying it is b/no we don't b/c there aren't any.
I'm not sure what all the side effects are with your pain med's, thats why it's good to have your doctors involed. I give you a lot of credit telling them your past and present to admit that takes some balls. and of course you can tell your putting your interest aside to help the baby. If you're takeing a large dose of med's you don't want to stop cold turkey. The stress can hurt the baby more than the drugs themselves. So talk to your doctor about that one.

Scarring is called Fibrosis, if your biopsy had shown cirrhosis, it would read "Stage 4 cirrhosis", and if you had that, it would have been time to treat. Generally, scarring (fibrosis) is seen in Stage 2 (what I had) and Stage 3. Once you get ahold of your labs, then take note of what your 'platelets" are, this would be in a CBC panel, on your labs. Generally, once a person has cirrhosis, the platelets drop alot lower than the normal range.
Good Evening!!! I obsessed some more all day to day, but not as much. It's definitely getting better, I just notice that I have to keep my mind occupied with "other" thoughts. I'm not on any prescribed meds (although I'm seriously contemplating) :-). My cousin told me that I must deal with the guilt of smoking the herb and that it is the guilt that is eating away at me the most because my subconscious perceives smoking weed as illicit, bad, evil, etc....
So glad you are choosing to join us. This is the place to be if you want off Tramadol. Lots of love, information and empathy here!
The problem is, I take three Percocets today, I used to be on much higher dosages, prior to my accident which caused severe nerve pain, I was even on much higher Percocets I despise them, but right now I can't stop taking the three, it was the only time it gives me about three hours of lucidity, and I go right back into the haze and into bed, I use the time of lucidity to drink a lot of water, coconut water, I just started rapidly increasing my b12 But give me some hope, did your side effects
