I have been experiencing temporary vision loss in the eye, for periods of seconds to 10 minutes, in the past few days. Everything goes black or a smoke gray, I then experience a sharp pain in the eye that shoots right to the back of my head and gives me a general headache. You are not going to do permanent damage to your brain from a couple nights of drinking and smoking pot. I don't mean to encourage doing things that have some risk of creating dependency, but the actions of cannabis are temporary-- as are most of the effects of alcohol-- provided you aren't drinking to the point of alcohol toxicity (for example, drinking so much that you pass out, repeatedly).
Is a low grade fever one of the symptoms when you quit smoking? My normal temp has always been 97.5 but for the past few days it has been 99.1 to 99.6 and I feel achy all over - - pretty normal stuff for a low grade temp. I used to smoke about 10 cigarettes a day but quit smoking on Monday and have been chewing nicotine gum about 2-3 times a day. My personal opinion is the harmful effects of smoking pot have not been studied as long as tobacco has been. Some recent trials may suggest there are more harmful affects than previously thought but will need more studies.

I have a close friend who has been addicted to marijuana for a long time, she also smoked during her pregnancy and no they did not test her for it when she gave birth. I don't know much on the effects of marijuana use during pregnancy but I strongly suggest that you look into that for the benefit of the baby. I know that she breastfed for quite a while, continuing to pass the drug onto her child. Our sons are the same age and have been friends since infancy.
