I have 20 years and I have HIV positive person. I drink medicines already 4 months. I use drugs Truvada and Efavirenz Teva. Please tell me how to code your disease treated? Whether you are at injection instead of pills?

My doctor recently put me on a combination of drugs for PEP, the drugs are lamzid and efavirenz and have very serious side effects. My exposure was licking/sucking a nipple of a non-pregnant HIV positive person. No milk came or blood came out but just had an after taste in my mouth. The act was for 2-3 seconds. What are my chances of getting HIV and are the reported cases of infection in adults, cause I know with babies you can.

I am an HIV + male. 43 on truvada/ efavirenz for 2 year with a count of minus 20(undetectable). I was penetrated twice last week where the condom broke and was NOT replaced. The "top" partner is aware of my hiv status. What are the chances of infection for him and apart from testing what should be done? I am otherwise very healthy, no cuts, blood or aparent bruising was detected. I am freaking out for him.

I am on 300 mg of lamivudine (1 time before bed) 600 mg of efavirenz (1 time before bed) and 300 mg tenofovir (1 time before bed), How effective this for PEP? I am not sure coz I went for an emergency ward which may not have expert on HIV infection. Also I read the label it said for PEP purpouse lamivudine should be used as 150 mg twice daily. Am I right?

Hello Teak, I have a question I'd like to ask you. I engaged in protected vaginal intercourse with a CSW here in a spa in Malaysia. Unfortunately towards the end of the act, my condom broke - I must have had intercourse for about a minute or two before realising. Upon realisation, I immediately stopped intercourse and freaked out. Upon asking the CSW - she assured me that she's HIV negative and that she get's checked every six months in order to maintain employment.

She went on to tell me she gets tested every month and is Hiv negative and if we ever meet she can show me her report also. The active ingredients of you will are tenofovir, emtricitabine and efavirenz. I am on day two of the Meds. The first night the side effects of dizziness were extremely severe. It was hard to walk. I found myself having a panic attack until I finally just went to sleep. When I woke up I was rather fine and did not feel dizzy. Hello I was reading a question the other day about if someone can get HIV from sniffing a powder into their lungs along with the possibility of inhaling some's blood that could be infected with HIV within the said powder/cocaine in this example. As silly as the question sounds, to some people this is a legitimate concern. Maybe the person whom they were with was snorting the drug with them and was HIV positive and had a cold, and maybe later coughed up blood.
