The "top" partner is aware of my hiv status. What are the chances of infection for him and apart from testing what should be done? Yes. The contact lens material may have denatured somehow (changed its chemical structure). Also, if the seals look damaged, potentially the contact lenses have become contaminated. Might I suggest that you not take undue risks with your eyes by attempting to save money through buying your contacts in "a hot country" and having them shipped to you in a cooler one?
My doctor recently put me on a combination of drugs for PEP, the drugs are lamzid and efavirenz and have very serious side effects. My exposure was licking/sucking a nipple of a non-pregnant HIV positive person. No milk came or blood came out but just had an after taste in my mouth. The act was for 2-3 seconds. What are my chances of getting HIV and are the reported cases of infection in adults, cause I know with babies you can.
Hi, I had a mammogram Aug 27th which that the small node I have had for years has grown. Two days later I had an ultrasound that shows a hypoechoic structure deep within the chest wall and has a hyperechoic notch to it with an appeappearance of a benign lymph node but does not correlate with the position of the mammogram. Given the findings of this ultrasound and enlargemnt of the density on the mammogram biopsy is recommended. My question is would you take it out completely?

Has anyone's partner had sperm chromatin structure analysis (SCSA) to test for fragmented sperm dna? My RE just suggested it. He said it can contribute to infertility even if the sperm analysis is normal. He also said it could contribute to chemical pregnancies and miscarriages. Wish he'd told me that sooner...

m now under retro-viral treatment (Abacavir, 3TC Lamiduvina, and Efavirenz TM as known in my country), healthy, fit, high CD4 count, undetectable viral load. I have had numerous EKGs Echo and holter not to mention blood test to check my thyroid and anemia. I am not sure which direction to go in because the structure of my heart seems to be ok. I also have costrocondritis (inflamation of the rib cage). I am wonedering if there is anything dangerous about my arrythmias if my heart is healthy? Can it be chemical or hormonal?

Do NOT take more than the recommended dose. I feel very uncomfortable giving you any advice regarding withdrawals because there simply is not a lot of good info out there about how they will affect you. Are you abusing them? How much are you taking in one sitting...in one day?

I have been on a combination of PEP drugs for the past week, the drugs are lamzid and efavirenz. 2 days after taking the drugs I started growing ulcers on my mouth (which has happened before) and I think one in my anus. Could this mean that I am HIV positive? I am very scared. My exposure was sucking a nipple of a woman for less than 2 seconds.
On AUGUST 19TH and AUGUST 20TH, I started taking ARVs which doctor prescribed. (Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate 300mg, Lamivudine USP 600mg, Efavirenz USP 200mg). ARVs made me dizzy, so I stoppped on AUGUST 21ST and AUGUST 22ND. After the viral load result, I started ARVs again. One pill everyday regularly.
4. On AUGUST 29th, I gave blood sample for PCR-HIV QUALITATIVE: (Performed using the Roche COBAS Ampliprep/COBAS Taqman HIV-1 Qualitative Version 2.0 assay.) It turned out negative.
