My doctor recently put me on a combination of drugs for PEP, the drugs are lamzid and efavirenz and have very serious side effects. My exposure was licking/sucking a nipple of a non-pregnant HIV positive person. No milk came or blood came out but just had an after taste in my mouth. The act was for 2-3 seconds. What are my chances of getting HIV and are the reported cases of infection in adults, cause I know with babies you can.

Atripla is a drug used to treat HIV. It actually consists of 3 drugs, emtricitabine and tenofovir (which also works against HBV) and efavirenz (doesn't work against HBV). Combination treatment is common practice for HIV so they combine multiple drugs into 1 pill. Of course Atripla is NOT an FDA approved therapy for HBV. Sometime in the future when the standard practice is combo treatment for HBV, they will combine entecavir and tenofovir into 1 pill and call it XcalibR 300.

You should avoid alcohol while on this medication because you think you'll only have one or two, but you end up having more. We all react differently when we combine alcohol with this type of medication, and it is not worth the risk involved. Hi all, I have been on a combination of PEP drugs for the past week, the drugs are lamzid and efavirenz. 2 days after taking the drugs I started growing ulcers on my mouth (which has happened before) and I think one in my anus. I don't see why some drugs eliminate Iodine from formula, like psychotropic that have fluoride instead. Any studies on CBD support it as treatment for thyroid issues?

you should be super careful about adding ANY drug (even over the counter and dietary supplements) since you are already taking two psychotropic drugs. Adding street drugs to the mix is really dangerous. Best wishes.

m pretty sure that you must avoid ingesting Xanax and Lorazepam together because they are both strong anxiolitics and belong to the same category of psychotropic drugs. you should be taking either one or the other. a secondary risk is to poison the liver with excessive assumption of drugs. Xyrem in specific didn't ruin your life. Taking psychotropic drugs will always result in tolerance developing. This is basic biology. Continuing to up your dose just accelerated it. You have admitted to sleeping your day away, so there's another issue: not regulating your daily activities and scheduling. Taking benzodiazepines is also going to work against the deep sleep you need, compounding the problems for which you were prescribed the Xyrem.

But nerves more often involve magnesium, which is in balance with calcium, so that might be an angle to pursue. Many psychotropic drugs interfere with magnesium absorption, for some reason.

t think you should be looking for a psychotropic medication to help you lose weight. That could be an unhealthy and possibly dangerous expectation. Far better to deal with your anxiety and weight loss as seperate goals that may actually work together. You wouldn't ask Jenny Craig to prescribe a benzo and these classes of drugs are not therapeutic for weight loss.

Hi Stacey, I have been taking Cymbalta for about fours now for anxiety and I have to say that It has not been that effective for me, I am currently in talks with my Phychiatrist about changing it. They feel that I should stay on it for longer to see the results but in my opinion four months should be long enough for something to work if it is going to.

I have the tendancy of feeling high levels of anxiety almost daily. I am use to being successful but at the moment I am not. My anxiety has caused me not to do things that may better my situation. it often leaves me by myself feeling even lower.
