Avatar n tn I have the yeast medicine the doctor gave me last time I went on antibiotics just in case I developed a yeast infection. I'm wondering if I should take it now and see what happens or just wait and see if it goes away. Could it possibly be a type of jock itch or diaper (without the diaper) rash, I was walking around a lot today in very cold temperatures. Please Help!
569479 tn?1247244001 All doctors see the rash and go “yep, yeast” but if you’re shy showing the area. Just tell them it’s a yeast rash on your bottom! Good luck!
1151771 tn?1262025120 Hello, From the symptoms initially as it was a red skin rash, so it most likely is due to eczema. Yeast infection presents with red rash which is very itchy. Another possibility can be diaper rash which can occur due to contact dermatitis to the material of the diaper and urinating and sweating makes it worse. Use cotton diapers for some days and expose her to the air for some time after urinating and washing.
Avatar n tn I have had a rash on my feet for some months now, and now have a rash in my armpits. When I put on deodorant, the rash burns and seems to get more inflamed. I stopped using the deodorant, and tried applying anti-itch cream - this offered no improvement. I decided to go the doctor since the rash did not seem to improve. The rash is very red, itchy and round to irregular in shape. My doctor took a scratch sample and had trouble identifying the rash.
Avatar n tn I've had a rash around my groin for 6+ months emcompassing my scrotum, the area between my scrotum and anus, around the anus, a little on the shaft on the penis, and on the pubic bone. It's very itchy more so at night. I've been diagnosed with jock itch and have went through tube after tube of OTC jock itch cream to no avail. i've also got a rash on my eyelids that is raised and flakey, not really itchy or sore.
Avatar f tn He took one look and knew it was a type of yeast infection - basically, it starts as slight diaper rash but develops into a larger rash that doesn't respond to typical treatment. She was prescribed econozole - however, many actually get relief from over-the-counter topical creams (apply to the skin where the rash is) for yeast infection. Perhaps your daughter's doctor, pharmacist, or nurse could advise you over the phone if it's worth trying.
Avatar f tn I took Fluconazole for a yeast infection a month ago. I had develope three small rash on my chin. Today when I got up I notice the rash is on the side of my nose and near my left eye. I do know that one of the side affect of this medication is rash. is this normal to have a rash that is spreading and has lasted for weeks because of this medication?
Avatar f tn Can you elaborate on the rash? The rash could be due to infection or skin conditions such as dermatitis or eczema. Infection may be attributed to bacterial, yeast or fungal causes. Superficial candidal skin infections may appear in areas which are warm and moist including the axilla, neck or groin. These rashes may appear as a red flat rash with sharp scalloped edges with smaller patches called "satellite lesions" nearby.
Avatar n tn i have stopped washing it with soap which has helped heaps and i have started washing my penis with salt water which also helps, but it wont fully go away, please help what is this. am i allergic to my seaman, yeast infection std, eczema? I also have a rash between my elbows that comes and goes randomly it gets fixed 95% of the time by not eating tomato's and using steroid cream if it pops up.
Avatar f tn Hi I am 18 years old and I have had this rash on my outer labia for 8 years now. The rash is whitish, itches a lot, especially when the skin is dry. And I have some discharge, but I attribute that to a possible yeast infection. It reminds me of thrush, but I am not sure. . .
676912 tn?1332812551 ll probably need a script for a yeast cream...Kahlan had a yeast rash at one point and it looked blistery and horrible and the yeast cream went on, stung a little, and 2 hours later it was almost gone. She's had a few yeast rashes since then and the stuff she was prescribed always got rid of it right away.
Avatar m tn It's not herpes. I'd say yeast infection, but the little circles on the hand don't look like yeast. Maybe psoriasis, which can have different appearances. Do you see any changes to fingernails?
Avatar n tn My daughter has an unusual rash. At first the dermatologist thought it was a reaction to a virus, then he thought scabies. She has taken medications for both, but it doesn't get any better. It covers her entire body from neck to ankles, in particular her hands. Small red bumps that itch, occasional small blister type bumps as well. She will also get a large blister in the center of her palm. I also have the small red bumps and occasional small blisters.
Avatar m tn Other possibility is of dyshidrotic eczema. Dyshidrotic eczema is characterized by a sudden onset of many deep-seated pruritic, clear vesicles which itch and then peel off. As a result the skin may also fissure. You should stop using any cosmetic, use mild soaps and lotions and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If it itches then you can take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin.
Avatar m tn I have not had any sexual intercourse for months, and I used a condom, so I can rule out an STD. One doctor said it was a yeast infection, but I wasnt prescribed any other cream, he told me to use the rest of the stuff that I was using for my jock itch, which didnt last long enough to help at all. This problem has been going on for a couple weeks now, and I was wondering if I could get your opinion.
Avatar n tn From what I have found out so far, my best guesses are a yeast infection or eczema (although he has never had this before). Is it possible to be something far worse?? Any thorts and opinions are greatly appreciated!!
606638 tn?1299565361 I have used Canesten and Monistat for yeast infections. It can take a long time to disapear. In me the rash was like little red bumps, pimples on the glans and inner foreskin. It also drove me nuts because of itching and burning. You have not mentioned any itching or discomfort. Uncircumcised males are more likely to end up with these sort of problems, since the foreskin provides a moist breeding environment for these infections.
Avatar n tn About near the end of February it started to hurt mildly and be a bunch of bumps ,but by the end of March it became a large rash that stings often and is the size of a square of toilet paper cut in half
Avatar m tn Diabetes per se does not cause rash, but the high sugar makes the skin more prone to infections, allergic reactions, and eczema and it can cause a particular infection or eczema to persist. The rash could be dermatitis, reaction to local lotions, powders etc, reaction to condom’s latex, a STD if there is a history of unprotected sex, fungal infection like tinea cruris, psoriasis, bacterial infection or eczema. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining the rash.
Avatar n tn Some months ago I got a rash on my inner wrist which by now has completely cleared up. The rash on the scalp and penis remain. The penis end his quite red and has a sort of short of dry shrivelled appearance as if the surface skin has lost some of its elasticity. On close inspection there seems red nodules beneath the surface. The overall picture looks as if the penis tip has been dipped in a strong solution of salt and is beginning to crystalize.
Avatar n tn I have the same exact problem. It's been just over a year for me. I am on my fifth dermatologist, who finally tested things. Two of the earlier docs said it was eczema and gave me steroids which made it much worse. I currently try to control the amount of sugar and complex carbs I eat. The doctor did a scraping and biopsy. The scraping came back pos for fungus but the black light did not glow the way he said it would if it were yeast. He said that doesn't prove it isn't yeast.
Avatar n tn It is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites). Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.
Avatar n tn hey, ive had these bumps for about a month now. it was a rash, then the rash subsided. it gets more red and raised when scratched. no fluid, no pain. just itches like mad. when its cold and i leave it alone, it goes down. Does it sound like eczema? or maybe herpes? any answers would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn I have the exact same symptoms including also what appears to be a yeast rash on my feet. I can only imagine that the rash on feet is somehow related to the itchy anus and sores on fingertips. Have you some relief with a yeast free diet?
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I am a gay male and I just underwent a HerpeSelect IgG blood serology test, 3 months after my last possible exposure. I am HSV1 positive (from cold-sores as a child) and HSV2 negative. I have been having a few problems over the past few months that make me worry that the test could have produced a false-negative, seeing how my immune system has been suppressed. 1) I have a severe rash on my scrotum.
Avatar n tn It sounds to me like (don't laugh) a yeast infection, yes both women and men can get this. It probably developed because of the antibiotics that you were taking. Are you Diabetic? just asking because Diabetics tend to get these infections very easily. It is very treatable, if that's what it is you need to get an antifungle cream by the doctor, for it to go away.
Avatar f tn Have any of you experienced little red bumps and rough spots on your baby? My baby is 3 months and has red bumps on her tummy. Not sure if it's a rash or what, and she has rough spots on her legs. I already asked the pediatrician and she said it was eczema and gave me special lotions and soap, but it hasn't cleared up any. I'm going to make another appointment I was just wondering if any of you knew what it could be.
