Avatar f tn Hello, I cannot confirm without examination but it can be due to dyshidrotic eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar f tn At first i thought it was just a regular dust allergy but then i noticed that i had a whole bunch of tiny water pimples on my lips and they kept breaking and multiplying. I still have no idea how that happened. My lips were extremely itchy. I went to a drugstore and asked the pharmacist for advice and she said there was nothing i could use on it but i decided to try some orajel anyway. My lips look a little better but i still have a few water pimples left.

Avatar m tn My wife suffers from eczema and is particularly affecting her palms of hands to the point that her skin is cracking. It is extremely itchy and she has sought medical attention with a dermatologist but the medication prescribed is ineffective. Anyone have this type of condition? Any alternatives?
Avatar f tn I have moderate/severe eczema, and I started noticing that whenever my body comes in contact with water (shower, pools, etc.) my eczema worsens and becomes a lot more visible. It's probably normal for this to happen, but I was wondering why does it happen?
371848 tn?1206207834 Sorry Your rash actually does sound like eczema. I believe it's called discoid eczema. Round coin sized red rashes that may or may not itch. definitely not cancer. Did he give you a prescription for cortisone. He should have also told you to get short cool showers and use body wash not soap. Then moisturize!!

Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with mild eczema on the base of my penis shaft. I have 3 or 4 red area's that I just cannot get to go away, it feels dry and is almost painful. I have been trying to not use the steroid cream too much but it seems like the only thing that really makes it feel better. Should I try not using anything? Would using the steroid cream too much keep the area red overall? Would anyone have any suggestions on the best moisturizer to use in that area for eczema?
Avatar f tn I've been getting small water blisters all over my body. At first it was just my hands and in between my fingers. Now it has spread to my elbows, legs, ankles, back, tops and bottoms of feet, in between my toes, elbows, palms and arms. It's extremely itchy and if you pop the water blister it just seems to come back and spread a little more. Once the rash is "done" in that area the scab thick and shiny.
Avatar n tn Hi, This may be a case of dyshidrotic eczema. This type of eczema may start as a case of multiple vesicles that may appear in the digits of the hands. The vesicles may itch leading to an itch scratch cycle that may lead to excoriations. The vesicles may burst and drain with a clear fluid but in most cases they may also cause pain. Trigerring factors may be stress, excessive sweating and contact with certain irritants like abrasive lotion, detergent or cleansers.
Avatar m tn Your son may be reactive to the chlorine which is the basic ingredient in a pool system. The salt water pool still has to revert to chlorine. Eczema is a chronic inflammatory disease and may present with flare ups even after a long time. The triggers may be from the heat , the dust or the pool water . I would suggest that your son be washed thoroughly with a mild cleanser like Cetaphil or neutrogena after each swim in the pool.
Avatar n tn It first happened when i went to Texas and drove home, I thought it was blisters from driving so much, But then it came back over and over again. If it is the bigger bumps they turn into water blisters, and if popped water/blood come out of them, then they dry up and go away. What in the heck is this? I've tried cortisone cream but does not help, And why is it only on that small part of my body???
Avatar m tn I have no clue what it could be. I was first told it was eczema and then was told it was an allergy to cleaning products. I was told it was not eczema b/c it is only on the palms of my hands. I've been wearing gloves when cleaning and it still wont go away. Need help I've been dealing with this for about 3 mos. Thanks!
443968 tn?1288612689 My pedi also advised not to let him sit in the water any longer than necessary (shame bc he loves the water!) and that when I bathe him not to rub hard on the skin. We use an over the counter cortizone cream on the areas when they flare up and it works wonders! Also my dr said to try to use cotton clothing - not synthetics. We do that when we can. I hope this helps! Also - I use Dreft for washing or the UP and UP brand of Dreft by Target.
Avatar n tn They do NOT itch and they came all of a sudden. When I try to pop them, mostly a water-like liquid comes out and some blood as well. They are in clusters all over my hands. I was told that they could be eczema; however, they do not itch and my hands are not the dry. What do you think it could be?
