eczema

Avatar n tn Hello, It can be due to steroid induced rosacea. Steroid induced rosacea or dermatitis is an adverse effect of using steroids. Some patients develop steroid-induced rosacea within weeks of applying a topical steroid; others may not experience it for years. Using tacrolimus often resolves the itch, redness, and tenderness of steroid-induced rosacea but it should be taken after a dermatologist’s guidance.
Avatar n tn (You only get five minutes and one shot with these things...dang hmo.) My diagnosis of Rosacea and treatment plan, for example was made in 5 minutes after making an appointment to talk specifically about Rosacea, pointing out my perpetual flushing, thickened skin around my nose and cheeks, and telling her that both my parents and grandfathers had Rosacea.
Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms it can be eczema or rosacea. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
Avatar f tn Hi, This could be an irritation, allergy, dermatitis, eczema or rosacea. Rosacea is an inflammatory skin disease that causes facial redness. Rosacea affects mostly adults, usually people with fair skin, between the ages of 30 and 60. Left untreated, it tends to be progressive. However, in most people it is cyclic, which means it may flare up for a period of weeks to months and then signs and symptoms lessen for a while before it flares up again. Treatment may dependent on the underlying cause.
Avatar m tn During Tx I got Rosacea, now I know that before Tx I had Seborea and during the Tx it gor worsen and I got Rosacea, the Rosacea during Tx was much more severe then it is now. Rozex doesn't help, many times I have redness on the T zone on my face, the only thing that help is a little bit Elidel. Does anyone here familiar with that, I mean - to get Rosacea during Tx, does it become better after Tx ? Is it curable? Any experience with Elidel or any other medication for Rosacea ?
Avatar m tn Hello, From the symptoms I would like to rule out the possibility of rosacea. The exact cause of rosacea is not known. The basic process seems to involve dilation of the small blood vessels of the face. It can be due to genetic causes, hormonal problems, the bacteria Helicobacter pylori (that is associated with stomach ulcers), gastrointestinal disease, and medications that cause blood vessels to widen.
Avatar n tn A dermatologist, a medical doctor who specializes in diseases of the skin, often treats rosacea. Treatment goals are to control the condition and improve appearance. Rosacea is a cutaneous disorder primarily of convexities of the central part of the FACE, such as FOREHEAD; CHEEK; NOSE; and CHIN. It is characterized by FLUSHING; ERYTHEMA; EDEMA; RHINOPHYMA; papules; and ocular symptoms.
Avatar m tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be rosacea. Rosacea is a cutaneous disorder primarily of convexities of the central part of the face, such as forehead; cheeks;nose; and chin. Pimples are sometimes included as part of the definition. Treatment options vary from antibiotic creams, antihistaminics, sun screens to laser treatment. A dermatologist’s evaluation will be the best. Hope it helps.
Avatar n tn It can be due to environmental changes like sun or cold overexposure, skin trauma, overuse of steroids, acne rosacea or venous hypertension. Sclerotherapy and laser treatment are the two main treatment options. Please discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist and get it evaluated. Avatar f tn as far as i know i have 2 skin conditions, rosacea and eczema. both reoccur from time to time. i was taking clomiphene 3 months ago and became pregnant. ever since taking the clomiphene a rash appeared under my mouth next to my chin down the sides. its sore, itchy, dry and bumpy. it occasionally weeps clear fluid from the bumps and then forms a white scab on the lumps. is this a bad case of rosacea i have no facial flushing in that area.? is this eczema or some form of dermatitis.
Avatar m tn Try to avoid putting any creams and medications to prevent further harm. This could be due to rosacea which is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that causes redness in the face and produces small, red, pus-filled bumps. If this condition is left untreated, rosacea gets worse over time. Signs and symptoms may flare up for a period of weeks to months and then lessen for a while before flaring up again. Other differentials include skin allergy or eczema.
Avatar m tn t seem to have much in the way of papules and pustules, but the skin does weep a little. It is very distressing. Does this sound like steroid rosacea? And will i my skin recover if i stop using the steroid cream completely and just continue with the metronidazole? Is an oral antibiotic necessary too?
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hello Dr.Bhupinder Kaur, I forgot to add that the physician assistant said he thought I had perioral dermatitis but I read that perioral dermatitis doesn't usually itch. My rash is extremely itchy. I have dyshidrotic eczema on my legs and hands. Couldn't this be the same thing? It looks similar to me. Does Rosacea itch?
Avatar n tn I suffer from eczema on my face and about four years ago I developed steroid rosacea. Since then I have not used steroids and was told by my dermatologist that the steroid rosacea would go away on it's own. Two years later it went away, as well as my blepharitis at the same time. I was 25 at the time everything cleared. I am also of south asian descent. One year later the symptoms of the rosacea and blepharitis re-appeared. My MD now has me on 100 doxy and metro gel.

Avatar f tn t cause me any kind of discomfort, theyre just there. The same goes for my upper arms and back. I had eczema when I was younger, so I tried using an eczema lotion but that does not seem to help. THis does not feel at all like the eczema flareups that I'm used to. What's wrong?
Avatar f tn I have what appears to be eczema on my face, right under my nose above my lip, under my lip, and on the bridge of my nose. I get it on my body occasionally as well, but my face is where it is the worst. It is red patches that are sometimes flaky as well and peel, itch, and burn. My skin is almost raw in these areas. I notice it getting worse after I consume a lot of sugar in particular. I have tried medication from my dermatologist.
