Avatar f tn Hello, As your child is showing rashes on touching of milk, this means he is allergic to milk proteins. Fortunately, most babies outgrow milk allergies by their second or third year. Babies who develop cow's milk protein allergy may have one or several of the symptoms like eczema or skin rash, abdominal pain or cramps, vomiting or diarrhea. I feel that you should consult an allergy specialist and get skin ***** or patch tests done.
7583845 tn?1392261094 In September 2013, after a weekend at the beach, my five year old son had a rash on his neck Approximately 1" to 1.5" in diameter. Since he was wearing a life vest we contributed the rash to the vest rubbing against the skin. After about a week of applying neosporin the rash did not improve or worsen although it was itchy at times and it would get fiercely red after soccer practice.
Avatar f tn The doctors ruled out ring worm, and say it is a form of eczema. But the cream and ointment they gave me for this eczema has never worked for her. It also seems when these bumps appear, she gets tiny red bumps near her eyes and gets a runny nose too. I've attached some photos of her legs when her outbreaks occur. Please help! I'm sick of hearing the same old song and dance from the doctor we use.
Avatar n tn The pedeatrician says they do not resemble typical eczema, can some one help out with what they could be?I am worried sick.My mother and grandfather have atopic drmatitis and my hubby's mother psoriasis.
Avatar f tn I have tried everything. 3 pediatricians, pediatric dermatologist and an allergist has seen him and were unable to give me an answer on what is causing it. When I say I have tried everything, I mean everything. Ruled out strep bacteria and parasites, no allergies to environmental things from the derm. I switched to an organic, harsh chemical free soap and shampoo and laundry detergent. I don't know what else to do. His rash is raw and painful.
Avatar m tn In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed.

Avatar f tn My dad has a PhD in Cell physiology and my mom is a pediatric nurse, both in good health. All my grandparents are still alive, except one who recently passed away at the age of 94. Medical history: Eczema and asthma at birth, which I've grown out of a lot. Currently on 50mg of Zoloft for mild anxiety due to life stressors, but it's not severe whatsoever. Misc.
Avatar f tn Any good treatment for eczema? 20wks today. Really suffering a lot. Tried Alpha Keri and QV intensive care but its not working. Help please....
Avatar n tn I suggest you seek consult with an allergologist or dermatologist. There is really no definite medical treatment for eczema or dermatitis. Avoiding known triggers like detergents, food, dust, and extreme temperature changes may help. You may take antihistamines for the itchiness. Topical corticosteroids are the mainstay for controlling eczematous outbreaks. However, as a chronic inflammatory condition this may recur.
Avatar n tn we wanted to be sure so we saw a pediatric dermatologist. she prescribled nizoral cream once a day followed by lotion and vaseline (we chose to use lanolinh since he puts everything in his mouth, we also bought a humidifier). for the next couple months that rash would come and go. each time it would start as little white bumps and then turn red and then become patches and my son would itch.
Avatar f tn His Doctor suggested that I have him see a pediatric dermatologist. I am worried to death because the cirles have been getting lighter and we are protecting him from the sun. He does not rub them at home, but when I pick him up from school under his eyes sometimes look a little red. I am wondering if he has an allergy, eczema or could the light circles be Vitiligo? Does Vitiligo start light and gradually turns white?

Avatar n tn i have eczema in my leg how can i reduce itch? can i use a treatment that contains acyclovir USP?
Avatar n tn Hello, Without examination,it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis but it can be contact dermatitis(allergic or irritant),eczema(atopic dermatitis) or perioral dermatitis. Allergic contact dermatitis is an inflammation of the skin caused by an allergy to a substance. In irritant contact dermatitis there is skin irritation, including inflammation, swelling of the area, and warmth. The rash will be confined to the specific area that came into contact with the offending agent.
