Avatar f tn I, too, had asked about food intake and how it impacts everything. I haven't started tx yet. I'm a newbie and was diagnosed about a month ago with Hep C, 1a from a blood transfusion 32 years ago while giving birth. I'm going crazy trying to find out everything I can before I start treatment, including what to eat. Good luck eating well!
417564 tn?1287982827 I stopped getting proper nutrition but kept up with the massive amounts of vitamins. I used supplements...but it would really take alot. I simply did not feel like eating, so I listened to my body and I did not eat...I drank water, I did everything else right. As our counselor said...I am no doctor. Vitamins are very hard on your stomach...especially coming off methadone because you lack proper gut function. Nutrition is of equal importance.
Avatar m tn In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed.

560272 tn?1311350293 Severe anxiety for 12 years now, each pregnancy made me worse and gave me more symptoms. I'm also 70 pounds overweight, I have Eczema, depression from the anxiety, and severe lower back pain/leg pain/body aches, I also have alot of tooth decay. I've had a bunch of tests run but never any test for vitamin deficiency. Can a B or D deficiency, or Calcium.......really cause an anxiety disorder plus all my other symptoms?
Avatar m tn Hi my name is Samir. I have been suffering from an extremely itchy skin rash for at least 5 years. It started on my eyelids, and the doctor prescribed me a cortisone cream, but the problem is recurring to this day. Then 4 years ago, i developed a skin rash in my groin area around my testicles and on the inner thighs and around the anus. then this year, the problem has spread to my lower stomach, underneath the elbows, and the sides of my neck.
Avatar m tn A dry patch of skin that has been present for a year and has not improved with regular moisturizing could be indicative of a more serious skin condition, such as eczema or psoriasis. It could also be caused by an allergic reaction or an external irritant. I recommend making an appointment with a dermatologist or your primary care provider to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. In the meantime, continue to apply moisturizing lotion and avoid scratching or picking at the affected area.

Avatar m tn Hello, Eczema is characterised by red, dry patches which are itchy. If the rash is non itchy then it can be pityriasis alba. Pityriasis alba is a common skin condition mostly occurring in children and usually seen as dry, fine-scaled, pale patches on the face. No treatment is required and the patches in time will settle in due course of time. The redness, scale and itch if present may be managed with simple emollients and sometimes hydrocortisone, a weak steroid, is also used.

1337810 tn?1333807530 If you feel that the eczema maybe allergy related, then suggest going to an Allergist for him to get tested so you know for sure. If he is allergic to a food type, then you would know what foods to feed him or not.
Avatar f tn Not personally. I know a guy who worked in the health food industry for many years and also works with nutrition who raised his family on cell salts. I did know people with arthritis who used them, but don't know how well, but nobody with fibro. Can't hurt to try, though, particularly the magnesium and silica salts.
583092 tn?1218128207 My skin has become really dry in those places that were itchy, so I wanted to know if it was eczema or not and if the acne treatment could be the cause.
Avatar f tn What is the best treatment for vaginal Eczema. I have this for years now, it comes and goes. I use Calendula gel when I have symptoms, it seems to help but not completely. Is there something that I can use that is more effective. It is very uncomfortable. Burning sensation, etc. I had a biopsy done a few years ago and results came back (SPONGIOTIC DERMATITIS) which I been told is like ECZEMA. Can you please help or have any comments regarding this condition.
Avatar f tn I have eczema also and you can even ask your doctor for a topical treatment, works within a week..2 at the most.
