Avatar n tn Hello, In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema — regardless of type — involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. Doing so tends to increase effectiveness and reduce side effects from medications.

Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
Avatar f tn We eventually found out that it was a food allergy causing the eczema. Aveeno lotions and washes work great.

I suggest you to apply some moisturizers and apply topical steroids only after consulting a dermatologist.

1486289 tn?1315842255 ve found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids. Aveeno does make a line of products for infants. There is also an infant eczema cream tho I'm not sure of the brand..it's in a pale green and white tube though.
Avatar m tn Aveeno oatmeal bath works awesomely well to. I have used it for all of mine because eczema runs in the family.
Avatar n tn Try an oatmeal bath and some baby aveeno eczema lotion, if that doesn't give you relief ask the doc
Avatar n tn My son (15 months) was diagnosed w/ Eczema early on, but nothing the doctor's (pediatrician, allergist, dermatologist) suggested/prescribed has helped much. I've always suspected it was something in his diet which triggered the outbreaks and found tomatoes and oranges made it worst. However, even after avoiding these, something would still set off his ezcema. What do these fruits have in common...Citric Acid! Than I realized so many things he'd consumed contained citric acid...

Avatar n tn So I have started applying OTC hydrocotizone 1% and from last Sunday I stopped it since it looked better. From then I have been applying Aveeno moisturizer. From Thursday, the inflamation was back and I still didnt apply hydrocotizone. Last night I washed the penis in warm salt water and cleaned with Witch Hazel and applied some Aveeno before going to bed.
Avatar n tn This sounds to me like eczema. I have had eczema for years but only recently has it been on my hands. It is an allergic reaction. Sometimes mine heal and sometimes the skin on my fingers peels making them very sensitive. For this, my doctor recommended a steroidal cream. While it isn't dry skin, one of the keys to eczema is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Although I caution you in doing that because it might be the lotion that you are allergic to (as I am...).
9807151 tn?1406762059 t afford to take him to the doctor to get cream for him. But they do have stuff over the counter you could try.
804692 tn?1238093818 I saw my doctor and she decided that I had scabies. I think for several reasons that she was wrong. I am married with 3 children and no one else in the house ever have had any symptoms also I did some research and the rashes I have do not match the photo I have seen of other people with scabies. The rash is itchy and more like bumpy dry patches. I would like some other thoughts on what it may be.
Avatar f tn Hey there, My 3 month old has severe eczema and the doctor prescribed us hydrocortisone cream, that worked wonders for his skin and now is ezcema is gone. But now we have a problem with a severe itchy head. I've tried baby oil, aveeno lotion, aveeno eczema lotion, cetaphil, coconut oil to name a few. He screams and screams in pain when he is itching and he will not sleep at night because he is so itchy.
