1337810 tn?1333807530 If you feel that the eczema maybe allergy related, then suggest going to an Allergist for him to get tested so you know for sure. If he is allergic to a food type, then you would know what foods to feed him or not.
Avatar m tn It gets out of control if, for instance, I wear pants all day (I work at home, so wearing shorts is not a problem, but I do need to get out every now and then). And when I have sex, it will almost always flare up as well. The dermatologist said he would prescribe a stronger cream if I went back. I probably will, but I'm getting quite tired of this. It impacts my sex life, and, well, sometimes I need to wear big-boy pants as well. The redness is quite painful and itchy.

Avatar f tn Dear babygirl08005, I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the best treatment for your eyes. Wrinkle creams will not help the eczema, which may also be occurring around the skin of your eyelids. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
Avatar n tn Okay, I know what Elidel is and that it is a non-steroidal treatment to dermatitis. However, I want to know if it thins the skin at all, to any extent? I read on the internet from multiple websites, that TCI's do not cause skin thinning or the side effects associated with steroid ointments, which is why it's usually used. However, one website stated that Elidel does not thin the skin "as much as" steroid creams do! So which is it for sure?
Avatar f tn My son had it at well.
Avatar f tn What is the best treatment for vaginal Eczema. I have this for years now, it comes and goes. I use Calendula gel when I have symptoms, it seems to help but not completely. Is there something that I can use that is more effective. It is very uncomfortable. Burning sensation, etc. I had a biopsy done a few years ago and results came back (SPONGIOTIC DERMATITIS) which I been told is like ECZEMA. Can you please help or have any comments regarding this condition.
1731952 tn?1310179875 Hello, In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. Doing so tends to increase effectiveness and reduce side effects from medications.

Avatar f tn The experts say that 15% of the population suffer from eczema. The vast majority develop symptoms as a child and grow out of it. For some reason millions of adults are developing eczema. Probably due to all the chemicals we eat. The medical industry doesn't seem to be interested. People suffering, losing their jobs and the will to live is a minor inconvenience according to them. There is no cure or realistic treatment.

Avatar n tn I would recommend that he see an allergist that specializes in eczema. Eczema frequently has an allergic cause. Treat the underlying allergy and the eczema clears up. I know some people who have had success with Allergra and Zyrtec. My daughter only has eczema in the winter when she is not out side as much. This may also be related to a low vitamin D level. Has anyone checked his vitamin D level?
