Avatar n tn Hi, welcome to the forum, her symptoms are suggestive of eczema or allergic dermatitis, secondary to exposure to allergen and mediated by IgE antibodies. Her body is known to hypersensitive to certain things. You need to rule out the triggering factor like particular clothes she wears, any chemical agent like soap, detergent she is exposed to etc. This triggering factor should be identified and should be avoided. A skin allergy test can be useful.
Avatar f tn My family has eczema from my mom kids down to her grand kids. My son has it really bad. He takes a bath with Dove sensitive soap. The doctor prescribed him a prescription for lotions and creams. In between baths I use Aveeno. I wash his hair in free and clear medicated shampoo. My son is 8yrs old had since he been born. My neices also have it. I do not use any scented products on him at all not even to wash his clothes. He wears medicated deodorant.

Avatar m tn Your wife should avoid hot water (wear gloves if she has to wash dishes), fragranced lotions, and other harsh chemicals. Also, sunlight helps to alleviate symptoms. My daughter only has symptoms in the late fall and winter months. They clear from mid-April through about mid-September or October. With that thought, vitamin D is vital to many functions of the body. Your wife might want her doctor to check her vitamin D level to make sure that it is not low.
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. 1221025 tn?1266842580 Hello, The symptoms are suggestive of eczema. In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. My sincere advice is to follow up the treatment that you have been prescribed by your dermatologists.

I have eczema but was not sure if thats what it was or not its kind of crater like white in the middle and red around the edges.. I have eczema all around it because I covered it with a band aid (allergic to them) to be on the safe side.. how likely do you think its a herpes sore or am I just being paranoid here.. thanks in advance..

Avatar f tn A few days later, I have an itchy red rash on my arm. It feels rough as well. I have eczema so I wanna believe its that but I'm going insane. Can anyone tell me why my symptoms aren't ARS related? What kind of rash would I expect if I had ARS? Thanks.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
Avatar f tn also herpes and eczema is almost always hsv1 related from oral herpes and eczema, not from genital herpes and eczema. no worries there from your child having genital herpes!!
Avatar f tn They are incredibly itchy, flaky, and sometimes a little scaly... I haven't gone back to my doctor because I've been busy day in and day out with kids and school, and honestly I'm not convinced that it can be helped. I'm lost. please help..
