Avatar n tn I have not taken any medicine the only thing diff is I got a cat 2 weeks ago BUT I have had cats in the past AND I have taken cat to vet for check up and all shots, I dont think I am allergic because the rash came suddenly and fast last evening now both of my arms are red with very tiny raised small bumps pls help. I have tried my daughters Elidel RX since she has eczema break outs but not very often and it looks nothing like mine. .
Avatar f tn Probably irrelevant, but my boyfriend has eczema and I help him put on his eczema cream but I always wash my hands after. The only theory I have for my bumps is that we have cats (they are inside cats and have never been outside or in contact with other animals) that sleep in our bed and thought maybe it could be due to transferring bacteria from the litter box to the bed. But I've had my cat for more than a year, and the other one for about a month and never had skin problems before this..
Avatar f tn This summer I had a lot of ice cream and I didn't know that triggered eczema until I researched more about eczema because my hands really flared up...So, I got a allergy test and I am allergic to cats, milk, dust mites, wheat, and eggs. I stopped eating all of those things, cleaned my room, stopped touching my cat. Also, before I got a allergy test my doctor gave me a cream and it really thinned out my skin really bad and made the eczema worse...
Avatar n tn I had been treating my 3 cats for fleas and thought one had gone crazy and bitten me all over my stomach in the night. There are about 40 pink flat bumps, but they don't itch. Could this be a type of viral infection rash?
Avatar m tn Over the past couple months I have been increasingly itchy and Eczema like rashes have been appearing all over my body. My boyfriend has been getting similar symptoms. The kicker to it all is that we have two roommates, neither of which have experienced what we have. What we know: We are both allergic to cats and the previous tenant had some. We have a dog. The apartment has all brand new carpeting that was put in before we moved in, new paint, new flooring, new applications, new roofing.
Avatar m tn There is no way this is eczema. eczema is not contagious and is extremely unlikely if not impossible to happen to people exactly at the same time. All dermatologist say eczema. They are to lazy or stupid to do their job. more then likely it's scabies, unless someone was playing in poison ivy.
Avatar f tn Found this in a search: "Curatex emulsion is an external application cream that has an anti-biotic and a cortisone cover, it's very good for skin condition like eczema." I also saw another mention of this product being zinc oxide based. Not knowing the effect of such, I'll leave the info out there for more educated folk than I to comment upon.
Avatar n tn t gotten an answer from the doctors. We do have to cats at home, but this is the first time that the baby or I have had these bumps. Also, I keep my home clean and maintain good personal hygiene. She hasn't been around poison Ivy. Occasionally I use hydrocortizone on the affected areas to minimize the itching. I need help, please! It is very frustrating for me to have my child in discomfort.
Avatar f tn You should also wear gloves while gardening to prevent any contamination from parasites spread by feral cats. Interestingly, cats only shed the parasite for a very limited time after they contract toxoplasmosis. You can contract toxoplasmosis from eating undercooked meat or by not thoroughly cleaning utensils and surfaces that were in contact with the contaminated meat. There have been some cases of infection from blood transfusions. Good luck...
Avatar f tn My kids are older now but when little they just to just love The Wiggles, well I just found out that Greg, the yellow Wiggle had to quit the group in '06 because of dysautonomia! Here is his link if interested www.gregpage.com. (I'm sending the link to my mother in law, she still thinks it's all in my head!
326352 tn?1310994295 She was allergy tested yesterday and came up with a 4/5 allergy to cats. She has moderate to severe eczema being treated with topical corticosteriods (Elidel, Elocon, something else) and has now been prescribed what is probably the REST of the list of cortocosteroids by the allergist. We've tried Singular in the past, but it made her mean. We're going to try that again once she gets off the prednisone and augmenten (unrelated recurrent ear infection).
Avatar n tn Hello, One of the possibilities for your son’s symptoms is pompholyx or dyshidrotic eczema. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons. But some triggers like allergic reaction to soaps, detergents, foods, latex, nickel etc may trigger the symptoms. Apply some calamine lotion on the affected area and keep the area well moisturized.
Avatar m tn i have the herpes virus in my eczema, i was wondering if you could tell me what is the best things to use other than my medication ?
Avatar f tn I have never had issues with allergies before and do not experience any respiratory symptoms other than reacting with hives when petting most dogs. Cannot be cats as I do have one and have no friends who do. Could be pollen tho it started in March and its still snowy here in Alberta and could be dust mites though I was told they dont usually cause issues in AB because its so dry (I keep the humidity in my house less than 50% constantly).
Avatar n tn what advice would you give me i suffer with severe eczema and im going abroad for the first time to tunisia. This discussion is related to Facial Cysts? Treatment?.
Avatar f tn I cook for him and he is in the office kitchen with me eating etc daily. Could I have caught it from him, esp if I have eczema (the eczema is not severe at all) Am pretty alone in a new town, trying to get into doctors and this is a little of a wild goose chase. So, your advice is certainly appreciated and very helpful. Thank you so much!
Avatar m tn Your wife should avoid hot water (wear gloves if she has to wash dishes), fragranced lotions, and other harsh chemicals. Also, sunlight helps to alleviate symptoms. My daughter only has symptoms in the late fall and winter months. They clear from mid-April through about mid-September or October. With that thought, vitamin D is vital to many functions of the body. Your wife might want her doctor to check her vitamin D level to make sure that it is not low.
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g.

Avatar f tn A few days later, I have an itchy red rash on my arm. It feels rough as well. I have eczema so I wanna believe its that but I'm going insane. Can anyone tell me why my symptoms aren't ARS related? What kind of rash would I expect if I had ARS? Thanks.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
1434024 tn?1329812840 but the doctor at my appointment first asked me if i had cats or dogs and said it could be flea bites. i do not have cats or dogs and ive looked up bed bug bites and scabies and flea bites and nothing seems to be what i have. its not always itchy or visual, but i notice sometimes when i get frustrated, it begins to itch and then i can see bumps rising. theyre not ALL 'water blisters' or whatever, but some of them become blisters, but im not exactly sure how.
