I have this terrible itching on both of my arms, I have been to specialists for it and no one can tell me what it is or give me and nothing to stop it. I have taken oral meds and used topical creams & ointments. I have changed detergents & bath soap. I have even had biopsies of it and all they could say was dry skin. It's hard to believe that just dry skin can cause such misery. I wake up at night scratching until I am bleeding.

Hi, Another differential could be keratosis pilaris, a very common condition in which there are numerous rough follicular spots, which may be skin coloured, red or brown on the outer aspect of the upper arms. It has a tendency to be more severe during the winter months or other times of low humidity when skin dries out. This is genetic in origin and no cure is available. Moisturizing helps and others choose laser treatment to reduce the redness. Take care and regards.

I've always had eczema on my upper arms and thighs. Now it's all over my arms and legs. Honestly, I haven't found anything yet that works. I've tried scrubs and such and nothing helps.

I have stinging pain (feels sort of like jellyfish stings) on my upper arms and shoulders that comes and goes. Sometimes there are very tiny itchy pimple type bumps and sometimes it's where the bumps used to be. It's painful and nothing seems to relieve it. The doctor's best guess is eczema. I feel like it's nerve related since I've also had nerve pain pop up in my feet. When should I consult a neurologist? Or should I just accept it's from the fibromyalgia?

It is bumps all over my body, which every so often they will have whiteheads on them. It started out on my upper arms and has spread to my buttox, chest,back,upper legs, penis, and it is slowly spreading to my lower arms, which is why i am posting this becuase i have to get a cure or ahold of it before it does. I havnt been able to swim for years because im to embarressed of how it looks, and if it spreads to my lower arms i wont even be able to wear a tee-shirt to cover it up.

Hi all, I posted a question regarding this issue a couple of days ago but the situation has changed since that time. OK so about two and a half weeks ago I noticed a dry spot of skin on my right upper arm. It wasn't discolored at first but then began to grow and become a salmon color. It has now grown to an area the size of a business card. It is very irregular in shape and is flat (i.s. not raised). It's covered in a thin flaky scale.

I have frequent outbreaks of eczema on my hand, and the insides of my arms. In addition to all this, my upper lip has spots on it, and I have a dark ring around my mouth. I think the spots are from sun damage, as my lips were a very light pink when I was younger. The dark ring around my mouth goes away depending on what I eat. Its very irritating to be itchy and dry all the time, and I need a change. What recommendations do you have for very dry skin and sun damaged lips?

Only problems are folliculitus on upper chest, and mild eczema on my upper arms during winter and times of stress. I eat mostly organic foods. Has anyone heard any about this condition? Final note, my skin is very oily. At times my forehead will actually look like I’m sweating but in fact it’s oil!

Do you think they can be related to your hair follicles? Keratosis Pilaris is something that makes little bumps on skin and is common especially on arms. Some people call it chicken skin which is so charming. I've had this. It's very very common! It's basically excess skin cells building up around hair follicles and its hereditary. For me, what worked was a balm on the skin (aveeno eczema balm -- although I don't have eczema OR aquaphor).

I have been getting very small, reddish bumps on my arms. The bumps are slightly itchy. After a few days, the bumps go away and leave a peeling/scaly patch that grows into kind of an oval shape. Sometimes these scaly patches are pink or red, then they fade to white, and then they clear up. This started out on both of my upper arms, and now I'm starting to see it on my lower arms as well. It is affecting my upper torso (front and back) and arms (upper and forearm but not my hands) primarily (sometimes comes back on the back of the knee). Oral steroids help the itching and somewhat help the rash, while topical steroids curb the itching only. Scratching of course makes it infinitely worse. The itching is sometimes so bad I can't sleep for function properly.

I have, over the last week, got a rash on my legs and arms. I cannot see the rash but can feel it under the skin. When it is itchy and I scratch it the lumps go red with blood and look more like a traditional 'rash'. My legs are the worst affected but my lower arms also have started to get it. ve had small-ish red bumps on my upper body (mostly on arms, some on the neck, today two appeared on my face). They are itchy and they look exactly like mosquito bites. I haven't changed any of the products I usually use (detergent, soap, medicine, etc.), I have no known allergies and it's not related to sweating either. They take a few days before they start going away, so I doubt it's hives. I've had no other symptoms besides the bumps.

I've had a rash appear over night initially on my thighs and on my elbows and then the next day spread to my arms, hands, and armpits as well. I have no clue to the cause of this rash. The rash appears red and blotchy with a constant itch that is lessened by taking an allergy medication.

Last night I got in the shower and noticed my arms are covered on the underneath, worse on the upper arms but all the way to my wrists. Its also down my upper sides. I do notice its worse where I've had stretch marks before from being fat at one point. However I have zero itching or bumps on my belly or abdomen at all so I don't think its puppp. Also nothing on hands and feet. Is it just hives?

But still I keep getting more red markings on my feet and got a small one under my nose too. I also keep keeping a bit of inflamed skin on my upper arms, but it resolves on its own soon. I plan to see the dermotologist again. Is what I describe eczema?

but my patches are located on my chin, cheeks, upper chest, torso, and back, but not on the arms or legs. its been three weeks and i still have the patches on me. my upper chest is better but left behind white spots and kinda make my skin look a lot older. for the other area, its still rough, flaky, and red. i guess, best wishes to both of us to get better..

Hi I get white, itchy bumps on my skin around the wrist and on the upper arms particularly while or just after exercising however there are times, mostly when in bed, that I get itchy all over my legs, buttocks, belly, back and arms. I have had them for a while and tried many different treatments to no avail. The best so far was a treatment for scabies but it was't a permanent fix and the itch came back after about a week both times that I tried.
