Avatar f tn Someone posted a while back about having problems with the skin cracking around their eyes as if their tears were burning the skin - but I can't remember who that was. I'm posting this in case the following information might help that person or others who are having similar issues.
Avatar n tn hello guys! 2 questions! 1. The other day I got some semen on my hands which have eczema. My eczema do itch and I do scratch them very often. But eczema don't itch all the time. when the semen got on it ,it was not bleeding, it looked like intact skin with very red rash on it. So,my question is, is this kind of no-bleeding eczema showing only severe rashes the same as intact skin?
Avatar n tn try using baby shampoo i was told to was my sons eyes with baby shampoo when he got eczema on his eyes it cleared it up good luck
Avatar m tn Also the best treatment of eczema is use of moisturizers which should be applied in a thin layer on the eczematous patch. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar m tn Everytime I wake up in the morning, especially if i wake up really tired from 6 or less hours of sleep, i get heavy black spots under my eyes. Then as the day progresses, the blackness becomes mild. is this something that can be treated?
Avatar m tn The type of medication prescribed will depend on many factors, including the type of eczema, past treatment, and the patient’s preference. Topical (applied to the skin) medication like mild steroids(hydrocortisone)to higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide) is frequently prescribed. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed.
Avatar n tn That's exactly how my eczema started. I had patches on one eye after about 3 months of moving to Los Angeles. (Is it the dryness? Dust?) And then, it turned so horribly bad, I saw three doctors. The second one gave me steroids, it went away insanely quick, and then came back, worse than it was before. The third one gave me Elidel. It's not a steroid, and it works. There is still a little eczema on and around my eye, but I can live with it (though I hate it.
Avatar n tn You might have eczema when my eyes gets itchy n red n burn I found out it was eczema and sometimes my neck gets dry super dry
Avatar n tn s become inflammed and red underneath my eyebrows, and around to the outsides of my eyes. Whenever I put moisturizer on it, all it does is burn. I've tried multiple moisturizers, and nothing is working. I recently bought new acne medication, do you think I could be allergic to it? Or is it just because I need to drink more water or something like that?

3093770 tn?1389739126 The Hydrocortisone Valerate cream I used behind the ears, the ears, the face, the forehead, and even the eyelids and right under the eyes. You cannot get it in the eyes so one has to be very careful and not use too much around the eyes (but one has to use some or it won't clear up). With any luck yours will clear up fast, but just to warn you, my psoriasis appeared in mid July and I am still dealing with the very last vestiges of it now, in mid-Dec. It is almost gone, maybe by Jan. 1st.
Avatar n tn Hello, Apart from steroids which is basic treatment for eczema, topical emmolients to prevent moisture loss from the skin can be used because Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed but they are not used in children.
Avatar f tn The outbreaks occur at least 3 to 4 times a month and last for about 3 days. The rash is a red raised bump on the back of her legs, ususally about 4-6 bumps on each leg and up near her butt. They are about the size of a nickel or quarter. The doctors ruled out ring worm, and say it is a form of eczema. But the cream and ointment they gave me for this eczema has never worked for her. It also seems when these bumps appear, she gets tiny red bumps near her eyes and gets a runny nose too.
Avatar n tn I even changed contacts per my eye dr. for dry eyes and that helped for a while, and now I have dry eyes again, with allergies in eyes, burning and itching pollen I know. But question (big One) does anyone have a cure or anyone have a clue of an idea that has hope them with dry eyes, and it is something that you can use in your eyes with your contacts still in. thanks for any info.
Avatar n tn I don't think so. Dr. O.
Avatar n tn I have had eczema all my life, and over the past year it became severely worse, I was seen on regular intervals by a dermatology specialist, and the eczema which was covering over 90% of my body has been kept at bay from several creams and 6 months on 60 mg ciclosporin tablets. I also had a patch test done and was told i am allergic to nickel. I am still having check ups with my dermatologist every few months however, i wanted to get a second opinion on something in particular.
Avatar n tn I would recommend that he see an allergist that specializes in eczema. Eczema frequently has an allergic cause. Treat the underlying allergy and the eczema clears up. I know some people who have had success with Allergra and Zyrtec. My daughter only has eczema in the winter when she is not out side as much. This may also be related to a low vitamin D level. Has anyone checked his vitamin D level?
Avatar f tn Eczema on both lids of both eyes would be unusual. The most common cause would be hypersensitivity reaction of eyelids due to exotoxin production of staphlococcus aureous colonizing your eyelids due to blepharitis. Again that is just the most common cause.
Avatar n tn There is no pain and itch but skin under the nail and around the finger peels off. When soaking the thumb into the water, the skin turns to white. It has been for two years. In the past I soaked my hand into the dishwashing liquid without a glove. Then I noticed the skin was very dry and flaky as well as after the shower. I have got two diagnoses, the chronic paronychia and chronic eczema. Can you tell how to identify the chronic paronychia or chronic eczema on the finger?
