You might be suffering from scalp (seborrheic) dermatitis or scalp eczema or scalp psoriasis. The exact diagnosis depends on clinical examination.
Seborrheic dermatitis presents as dry skin on the scalp, which flakes off (dandruff). The skin on the face, behind the ears, eyelids, nose and chest may also be affected.
Symptoms of scalp eczema may include greasy yellowish scales that may turn flake off along intensely itchy and inflamed red scalp.
So I saw the doctor today, not a dermatologist just my primary care doctor and said it looks like I have eczema and he gave me Clobetasol Propionate Shampoo for my scalp which seems to be working and Hyrdrocortisone and told me to use both about twice aday.
Since that time I have confirmed Eczema in my ears and on my scalp. Although the ears and scalp are annoying the spots on my face are really bothering me. I work in a professional environment and even with makeup they do not look very attractive. Prior to this rash/spots on my face showing up, I was vacationing in the Caribbean and they have not gone away. Is there anything I can do? They are dry like Eczema but very red in colour and hard to keep hidden. Any suggestions???

The common causes of scalp sores are dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne and eczema. Since scalp sores are caused by numerous conditions it is difficult to determine the correct treatment without a complete clinical examination. Low Levels of Zinc in the scalp, clogged and bacteria filled hair follicles, very low circulation levels, too high pH level in the delicate scalp skin are few predisposing factors for scalp sores.
But, itching would always drive me nuts after a couple of days. I am prone to eczema on my torso and even tried Mometasone Furoate Rx cream on it. But I only did a couple days treatment and quit.
I went to a dermatologist and she gave me a sample of Ketaconazole foam. That didn't work. Recently, the spots on my scalp spread to the other side of my head and I really began to feel despair. Something needed to be done.

I have scratched and picked my scalp for about fifteen years. It started with a spot on my scalp that may have been normal dandruff, or it may have been fungal. Who knows, but it's been a long road since. It has always flaked and when I would scratch, tons of dandruff came off. Over the years, the size of the spot has gotten bigger and bigger and obsessive scratching has taken over my life. To me, I've always scratched until dandruff stopped falling.
I have this one spot on my scalp that itches like crazy. I have always had dry scalp, but lately it's gotten much worse. It's red and sore and nothing I have tried has worked. Around 7 years ago, I idiotically used neat apple cider vinegar on my scalp as therapy for dandruff without diluting it.
Caused burning, irritation and have had issues with scalp flaking ever since.
Have tried lanolin, desitin cream, QV jelly, Vaseline but it is stubborn and does not heal.
Thick flakes form which peel off to reveal weeping red itchy skin and the cycle repeats.
Any advice to treat definitively and achieve regrowth of epidermis would be much appreciated.
When topical corticosteroids do not provide relief, sometimes the doctor may consider prescribing some more potent corticosteroids for some period, in adults with may be needed for adults with eczema on the scalp, limbs, and trunk or those with chronic/ lichenified eczema. Newer two topical eczema drugs like pimecrolimus (Elidel Cream) and tacrolimus (Protopic Ointment) are reserved only for cases where corticosteroids have not been effective.

From the symptoms that you have mentioned, one possibility that can correlate with your symptoms and history is eczema skin. Usually the symptoms are dry, itchy skin but sometimes, eczema may lead to blisters and oozing lesions also. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema.

ut any grease or oil on my scalp bc I hate the way it makes my hair feel heavy. However, my scalp is really dry...very flaky and if u look at it...it seems like my scalp is scaled over! I also live in MI and its very cold right now. Bottom line is do I need to seek a dermtalogist or just use an anti-dandruff shampoo & oil my scalp more?
Been to several dermatologist and they are all saying it’s in my head or it follilucus went to hair club they said something is going on they see white spots on my scalp they never encountered in there whole time of doing this it feels like a web or something I’d covering my scalp face etc and it itches like crazy at night time

Try sulfur 8 medicated original formula, anti-dandruff hair and scalp conditioner, if they are only in area of the picture or on your scalp. I had a similar problem, plus I would see blood spots on my pillow cases and towels, or wherever I laid my head on. It started out just as you stated, and over time it got worst.
I dislike taking drugs because of the many side affects.
Try using t gel by neutrogena, that does sound like psorosis. T gel is very helpful, and it's not expensive I use it because I get acne on my scalp from using hair spray And it works wonders even though it is made for psorosis. It's main ingredient is coal tar so it doesn't smell pleasant but it's worth a try. Also if you had lice you'd see it crawling.
