9807151 tn?1406762059 Im 25 and 2 days pregnant and I have really bad eczema.. is there any home remedies or anything that you guys might use to help it ?
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have dandruff- which the selsun blue shampoo should help, but sometimes it can be resistant to anti-dandruff shampoos for various reasons. You could try some other brands (such as head and shoulders) or you could try some home remedies- lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. If that doesn't work, you may want to head back to your doctor to see if the flakes are indications of another medical condition- it could be something like eczema.
3093770 tn?1389739126 I used it last winter and spring when I had the hives and other rashes on my scalp and l also used it when I developed psoriasis on my scalp last summer. It works well. I had to use it a long time for the psoriasis to clear up. http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/archives/fdaDrugInfo.cfm?archiveid=10779 For the face and ears I used Hydrocortisone Valerate Cream 0.2%. This worked well on the psoriasis on my face and ears although it took a long time to clear up.

Avatar f tn Eczema, an itchy inflammation of the skin, effects many people in different forms, with one of the most common being scalp eczema. The scalp is vulnerable because the skin of the scalp is different than skin elsewhere on the body. The scalp has a very rich supply of grease from the sebaceous glands as well as carrying follicles creating long hairs. There are other symptoms to watch for with eczema besides itching.
Avatar n tn s scalp and direction on how to treat it. You may be allergic to ketocanazole shampoo as severe itching is a sign of that. A lot of times, a tar based shampoo can be effective for dandruff. Here's a guide that goes through options. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/dandruff/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20353854 But your best bet at this point is to speak to a dermatologist.
Avatar f tn Around 7 years ago, I idiotically used neat apple cider vinegar on my scalp as therapy for dandruff without diluting it. Caused burning, irritation and have had issues with scalp flaking ever since. Have tried lanolin, desitin cream, QV jelly, Vaseline but it is stubborn and does not heal. Thick flakes form which peel off to reveal weeping red itchy skin and the cycle repeats. Any advice to treat definitively and achieve regrowth of epidermis would be much appreciated.
Avatar f tn Since that time I have confirmed Eczema in my ears and on my scalp. Although the ears and scalp are annoying the spots on my face are really bothering me. I work in a professional environment and even with makeup they do not look very attractive. Prior to this rash/spots on my face showing up, I was vacationing in the Caribbean and they have not gone away. Is there anything I can do? They are dry like Eczema but very red in colour and hard to keep hidden. Any suggestions???
Avatar f tn Hi You might be suffering from scalp (seborrheic) dermatitis or scalp eczema or scalp psoriasis. The exact diagnosis depends on clinical examination. Seborrheic dermatitis presents as dry skin on the scalp, which flakes off (dandruff). The skin on the face, behind the ears, eyelids, nose and chest may also be affected. Symptoms of scalp eczema may include greasy yellowish scales that may turn flake off along intensely itchy and inflamed red scalp.
Avatar m tn Hello, Greasy oily scalp can be due to less frequent washing of hair and it can cause hairfall as well. One of the natural home made remedies for the oily scalp is the use of lemon juice on the scalp and waiting for 15 min before washing it off. It is supposed to be good both for the oily scalp as well dandruff if any. A good massage of the scalp is also helpful as it ensures an increased blood supply of the scalp and also takes away the oils of the scalp towards the hair.
Avatar n tn Hello, From the symptoms that you have mentioned, one possibility that can correlate with your symptoms and history is eczema skin. Usually the symptoms are dry, itchy skin but sometimes, eczema may lead to blisters and oozing lesions also. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema.
Avatar n tn My scalp is oily. My pillow case has yellow discoloration on it from the oil. I need to shower more than twice a day to try to control the oil and odor. I am a 62 year old male. The older I get the worse this odor is getting. My wife doesn't even want to sleep in the same bed with me.
Avatar f tn I also have itchy scalp, but no dandruff. recently while scratching my head i noticed little scabs on my scalp from scratching. A freind told me recently that he thought it may be a nerve rash. can anyone help me?

Avatar m tn Hi Try sulfur 8 medicated original formula, anti-dandruff hair and scalp conditioner, if they are only in area of the picture or on your scalp. I had a similar problem, plus I would see blood spots on my pillow cases and towels, or wherever I laid my head on. It started out just as you stated, and over time it got worst. I dislike taking drugs because of the many side affects.
Avatar n tn Is there any specific cream i should apply and any quick home remedies?
1690397 tn?1341110391 But now the skin kind of has a burning sensation when I try to use these folk remedies. When the scalp would get insanely itchy, mayonnaise on my head helped or other times apple cider vinegar then diluted borax then shampooed out and using a conditioner with some tea tree oil and lavender stopped the insane itching for days. I repeated when the itch came back and it stopped it again.
Avatar f tn But, itching would always drive me nuts after a couple of days. I am prone to eczema on my torso and even tried Mometasone Furoate Rx cream on it. But I only did a couple days treatment and quit. I went to a dermatologist and she gave me a sample of Ketaconazole foam. That didn't work. Recently, the spots on my scalp spread to the other side of my head and I really began to feel despair. Something needed to be done. Recently, I had my eczema cream refilled for my torso rash.
Avatar n tn I get acid reflux several times a month....its usually will last about a week and then its ok for a week or so...sometimes I don't have it for months and then its back. Anyway, I don't take meds except an occasional pepcid, which usually doesn't work. I have heard about home remedies such as apple cider vinegar (which sometimes works, but not always) Does anyone know anything else. I hate to take prescription drugs if I don't have to.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know any home remedies for round ligament pain. The dr I saw today says Tylenol doesn't help. I hear warm baths, stretching, heating pads, and girlie so far. Any others?
