Avatar n tn If so that same medication will help for the herpes on the finger if indeed that is what is going on. did you have eczema flaring up on your hands/fingers recently? Since you are allergic to bandaids - keep the finger covered with something else like a guaze pad and some non-latex tape.

Avatar n tn Hello, Without examination, confirming a diagnosis is tough but it looks like granuloma annulare(bumps appearing on the hands) but other possibilities that should be kept in mind are myxoid cyst(growth usually occurring on the finger) , contact dermatitis and dyshidrotic eczema(an itchy rash limited to the hands (usually the palms and sides of the fingers),it can be related to weather and consists of small fluid filled blisters).
Avatar f tn I had had a couple occassionally, but on this occassion I had 8 on one finger. They are really small but very painful. I have gotten a couple interspersed on both hands, but not a huge outbreak like on my ring finger. They usually are very painful for the first day and are red, and then become flesh-colored with a little light brown dot in the middle.
Avatar n tn its between one and five bumps on any given finger tip. it itches and makes my fingertips sore. then after a while the skin gets dry and starts to peel... then it moves to other fingers tips. i cant find info on ant website and i have no idea whats going on can anyone help me????
Avatar n tn He said this rash on my finger is eczema... He gave me a cream and some pills. Lets hope it works!
Avatar n tn This sounds like a form of Eczema. Eczema can be drastically affected by food sensitivities, and it can matter greatly which dish detergents you use and which kind of lotion you're using. Gluten exasperates Eczema. I'm speaking from experience. Eczema is auto-immune. You have to take care of your whole body for the Eczema to calm down. You should look into food sensitivities.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am a 26 year old white male, about a month and a half ago I noticed a dry patch on my left hand index finger. I paid little attention to it until there was a similar patch on the thumb and on the right hand index finger. I bought some cream with 1% clotrimazole and began applying it twice daily for the last seven days. During this time the rash seems to have continued to spread outward and I am now also noticing it on my left hand ring finger.
Avatar n tn I found some tiny red spots on the inner side of my little finger, of my right hand, approximately 2 months ago. It was very itchy and I thought it was an insect bite. I am pregnant, and talked to my OB/GYN and she thought it might be just a skin allergy, so I started applying a corticoid cream (over the counter). I used it for a week, and it felt fine at the beginning but then it came back. It is really itchy and red, and it has expanded all over the inner side of the finger.

Avatar f tn Could it be eczema or something else? I have never had eczema, so this would seem weird to me if it is and to just have it in one isolated spot. Should I see my doctor? Thank you!

Avatar m tn the ones on my middle finger are clustered. what could it be? i read somewhere you can get herpes on your hand. is that a possible answer?
Avatar f tn ve ever seen on my right hand with two patches on the palm side of my middle finger and one patch on my ring finger of the same hand. Just as you say, they do not itch and they don't hurt. Once I made the mistake of popping one a few years ago. Only then did it hurt, so needless to say, I don't do that anymore. They go away on their own and they only occur about once every 3 months. They're not noticeable unless I point them out to others.
Avatar m tn ) Other recommended home remedies include rubbing the juice of green leaves of finger millet on the area daily, adding 1 to 3 gm indigo naturalis to mild lotion to make a topical ointment for daily use or adding one tsp. of camphor oil to one tsp. of sandalwood paste to rub on eczema as needed.
Avatar n tn Can you tell how to identify the chronic paronychia or chronic eczema on the finger? What topical medications are effective for the chronic paronychia and/or chronic eczema? Thank you for your answer.

Avatar m tn i have the same issue on my pointer finger on my left hand...i use a nail file to "get rid" of it, but it comes right back...I too thought maybe it was a planters wart...but nothing gets rid of it...now i am thinking....cancer? oh dear...I always think the worst but what in the world could it be...it is NOT eczema, i know this for sure i too have no allergies do not wear a ring on the finger....very curious...
Avatar n tn Never had anything like it before. They itched like crazy, especially at night. Started on one finger, on one hand and spread rapidly from finger to finger, then to the next hand. After about a month after, they crusted over and peeled off. Finally saw a doctor shortly after, he said I had Sarcoptes scabiei (scabies) and prescribed me Permethrin cream, 5%*. Will write back after 2 weeks of treatment. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Hello, It can be herpetic whitlow or blisters due to pompholyx or dyshidrotic eczema. Herpetic whitlow is a painful viral infection occurring on the fingers or around the fingernails and is caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus (HSV). Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. My sincere advice would be to get it evaluated from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
Avatar n tn I also notice the same numbness whenenever I ride my bike after 20 minutes or so. There also is a rash (?) on my index finger than resembles eczema on the backside of the finger and just dry dead skin on the side and palmside of the finger. What could be causing this? What should I do? I do not experience the same numbness with my left hand at all!!
Avatar m tn I have these odd bumps that show up now and then on multiple fingers on both hands. They come and go, and are a little sensitive and itchy. I'm not sure what they are and was curious if they were recognizable to anyone. Photo included.

The wierd thing is that none are filled with any puss or nothing just dry and there, I have had them for some time now. Can you answer me what the problem is?
