eczema

Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms and pictures,it looks like nummular eczema(stubborn, itchy rash that forms coin-shaped patches on the skin.Found mainly in adults but can oocur in children also) , hives(red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours. Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known.
Avatar f tn So much pain that it kept her up all night one night last week. I have pictures of her legs and am attaching said picture. It is on both legs in the same places and looks remarkable the same on both legs. Thanks for your opinion and any thought toward getting her some relief before she see the dermatologist. Someone mentioned that it could be kidney malfunction. She has had a history of kidney infections, but is on a maintenance dose Cephalaxin. Wonder if that could be the culprit?
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a rash that appears mostly in the summer months. It appears on my knees and ankles mostly but can also be seen on legs and feet. It's raised red spots which appear to have white around them. It has come back every year for about 6 years. I live in Ireland so the climate can get warm but not very warm and not very often. When i get to the doctor it has disappeared. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Avatar f tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but I would like to rule out eczema. Eczema is term for a group of medical conditions that cause the skin to become inflamed or irritated. It is often caused by allergies to common natural inhalants and intolerance to some foods but sometimes it is an overactive response by the body's immune system to a bacterium that normally lives on the skin or an irritant.
Avatar m tn As I mentioned, some weird things like eczema appeared on my leg 1 week after (close to my penis). I used an eczema cream and it has almost disappeared from the first leg but starts appearing on the other one at the same place... Please check the picture attached: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/716/img1499fu.jpg/ I am scared about Syphilis... Any idea about what it is ? Eczema due to stress ? Syphilis ? An other disease ?
Avatar m tn I am a male and do not shave my legs or belly but I keep getting small blisters almost like an ingrown hair or infected follicle on my upper legs and lower abdomen. Is that all it is or could it be something worse and how do I prevent it? I have psoriasis also if that helps with an answer.
Avatar m tn So I have been getting spots for about 8-9 weeks. They tend to itch, at different times of the day, then get really itchy, the spot then gets big and raised, and after an hour or two goes down to a smaller red spot almost not visible usually within a couple hours or sometimes 48 hours. Then they are gone. When I first notice them, its really itchy, the middle of the area is white, and surrounding it is red. When I take pictures of them, they look like a pimple with a white head.
Avatar f tn I went to the emergency room about bumps on the palm of my hand and the itchiness on my legs. He told me I had eczema and prescribed me antibiotic and steroid cream. I asked can eczema be found on the face because I have some bumps on my nose and cheeks and have had a small rash on my neck he replied no eczema is not common on the face. I have had two or three pimple like bumps one on penis and two spaced far apart around my penis..
Avatar m tn Two months ago I had about a week where my hands and ankles got swollen a few times and I had spots that looked similar to this on my lower legs that went away within a day. I have no clue what is going on and am kind of scared. I thought they might be hives [since their behavior of only being there for a day and then moving elsewhere fits what I read about hives online] but they don't look as red as hives do from the pics I've seen online. Any idea what this might be? Thanks!!
Avatar n tn My wife has had a recurring rash on her legs for about a year and a half now. we have been to a few doctors (no dermatologist) who have prescribed anti-biotics because they said it looked fungal. they have never helped. it will occasionally go away(not all of it but most of it) and then re-appear. she says it hurts when its really bad and itches all the time. it also makes the skin around the area look really dry to the point where it looks tight almost chapped.
Avatar m tn Looking at pictures, I do not have any lesions or white pimple looking bumps that a lot of the pictures have. But I do have red areas on my penis though. I went to the doctor 3 weeks ago and he said it is not Herpes, but he is just a general practitioner doctor. Any more insight?
Avatar m tn The first condition to investigate in a 3 year old child with 1,5 years history of skin lesions on cheeks would be atopic eczema with possibly superimposed bacterial infection. Based on pictures, some lesions look like they might have been caused by trauma (scratching). We believe that patients need to be informed and educated about their condition.
Avatar n tn Hello, From the pictures it looke like eczema. . It is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, certain foods, plants, metals, cosmetics, dust mites etc. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.
Avatar f tn Then recently a few bumps appeared on my lower legs (calves) and im quite confused! I thought it was mosquito bites but it does not look like that! i also have dogs that sleep in my bed but i'm pretty sure flea bites don't look like that! I'm thinking about going to a deteramotologist to figure out whats wrong. None of the bumps have gone away and at times they can be veryy itchy! Any help?
1774720 tn?1422402559 Looked up some pictures of shingles on the legs and bingo there it was. So what I had been doing was treating for bacteria when it is a virus. I had been aggravating and helping it to spread itself. Shingles can appear in many forms. Some are very extreme and painful and sometimes it is mild. It is a virus which lives in most people and first appears as chicken pox. Then it lies dormant sometimes for decades waiting for an opportunity to break out.
Avatar m tn I'm 18 years old, male. I've had this patch for a while. I haven't been outside without my shirt on in a few years so it wouldn't be anything sun related. It doesn't itch. Skin feels raised. Here are some pictures of it. http://i397.photobucket.com/albums/pp53/random409389/IMG_0418.jpg http://i397.photobucket.com/albums/pp53/random409389/IMG_0424.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately from looking at the pictures around Eczema, it does not really look like the bumps that I have on my finger. There is typically no redness around the bumps. About a year ago, I was diagnosed through an anonymous testing service with HSV-1. From doing a lot of research and seeing pictures, I'm scared that the bumps are from the possibility of having herpes whitlow.
Avatar n tn Over the week more have appeared on my left leg, I have about 5 now and this morning another two on my right ankle. They are still really itchy constantly. Please could anyone tell what they are from my pictures and advise me what to do?
Avatar m tn ve noticed that it appears to be growing down my body particularly around my arm pits, sides and devastatingly now my groin, inner thighs and upper legs. I haven't tried treating it because I don't know what it is, I just hoped it would disappear. I've recently started a new relationship and this is really knocking my confidence to get intimate with my girlfriend.
Avatar n tn How come my legs are always so itchy? I always scratch them and rip the skin on accident. Mainly only the front of my legs are itchy. My arms don't itch though.
Avatar f tn ve been getting molluscums on my legs. I went to my dermatologist a month ago to get a refill on antibiotic cream for my atopic dermatitis and he looked at a spot on the back of my leg that he thought could be molluscums that I scratched off and irritated, but he told me we'd take care of the atopic first and then when I came back in a month, we'd see if that spot cleared up or if it was actually molluscums.
Avatar n tn Hi, i wrote that question about the rash on my thigh that i had since i was young, and u gave me some advice, i have to say it was very helpful, but the thing is that i don't have eczema, i never had it nor any other medical illnesses but the usual (cold, flu) etc, rarely..
