my son has odd lines on his back, mostly horizontal about 2" long, a cluster of them on his lower back. They almost look like cuts, but are not painful. Any idea what they are? He's 14 yrs. old.
what is worrying me a lot and im still awake from yesterday cant stop thinking is that his precum, what if some of his precum got into one of those bleeding patches. his hands were on his penis on my back on my head every where.. so what if some of his precum on his fingers got into one of those bleeding patches.
I dont think i need anything stronger then what is sold over the counter considering its only on my upper back. The itching only comes when my back is exposed to the sun for a long period of time. My fear is that when it is treated and the spots do go away, will they come back? i live in miami florida and it is rather hard to keep my back out of the sun. Of course i will take precautionary care so this wont happen, but is there maybe an allergy pill i can take?

It isn't herpes simplex; my doctor just had me get a blood test for this and it was negative. Besides, I've never heard of herpes simplex causing a rash on a persons back and nowhere else. What might this be?
That's exactly how my eczema started. I had patches on one eye after about 3 months of moving to Los Angeles. (Is it the dryness? Dust?) And then, it turned so horribly bad, I saw three doctors. The second one gave me steroids, it went away insanely quick, and then came back, worse than it was before. The third one gave me Elidel. It's not a steroid, and it works. There is still a little eczema on and around my eye, but I can live with it (though I hate it.
I can scrub the tops off the bumps with a skin scrubbing pad but they are back in two days. I may have contracted them at a health spa a few years back. I have looked at photos of athletes foot and it does not match.
What could be a diagnosis and treatment.
Iv had a very bad rash on my chest and down the center of my back for almost a year now. iv tryed everything to get rid of it including changing my detergent and soap. it itches nonstop and iv tryed ever kind of cream I could think of to try and make it go away. It gets really bad at night and when im workin in the heat.The docters gave me steroid shots which where not affective. Also they gave me benadryl which doesnt do anything either.I am desperate for some suggestions.
I was hoping to hear of other potential treatments or medicines. I can handle the eczema elsewhere with the topical steroids and moisturizers. It's just that the eczema on my scrotum is so much more severe and flares up immediately after sex.
Hi, I have a rash that appears mostly in the summer months. It appears on my knees and ankles mostly but can also be seen on legs and feet. It's raised red spots which appear to have white around them. It has come back every year for about 6 years. I live in Ireland so the climate can get warm but not very warm and not very often.
When i get to the doctor it has disappeared.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
It could still be acne on your back with a few on the chest now. Another possibility is eczema which has little sores. It would be wise to see your doctor for a diagnosis though. We use two different products--- Aveeno Eczema Ointment bought at most drug stores and then this other that is a lotion that is anti itch. Not sure if this would increase acne on the back/shoulder area. Perhaps you could use a cleaning wipe like stridex or any brand and then the lotion over it.
since splitting from my husband my stress level has been very high and my eczema got prettyu bad on my arms, shoulders,back, armpits, and sides... fairly certain it isn't genital herpes due to the fact that it didn't hurt. i know it is no other std due to the fact that i donate plasma twice a week and it is always tested for those other stds. so, stupidly, i put wart remover on my genitals...extremely painful!

This sounds like a form of Eczema. Eczema can be drastically affected by food sensitivities, and it can matter greatly which dish detergents you use and which kind of lotion you're using. Gluten exasperates Eczema. I'm speaking from experience. Eczema is auto-immune. You have to take care of your whole body for the Eczema to calm down. You should look into food sensitivities.
I have this red rough and itchy patches on my face on and off. It will get better and seem to go away only to come back. I have tried to see if I was allergic to something but I cant figure it out. It itches and burns and nothing I put on it helps. The doc put me on antibiotics for 10 days and it helped alittle but came back. My skin will flake after it starts to get better and then it will start all over. I thought maybe rosacea but I am not sure.

2 questions!
1. The other day I got some semen on my hands which have eczema. My eczema do itch and I do scratch them very often. But eczema don't itch all the time. when the semen got on it ,it was not bleeding, it looked like intact skin with very red rash on it.
So,my question is, is this kind of no-bleeding eczema showing only severe rashes the same as intact skin?
