Eczema lotion sarna

Common Questions and Answers about Eczema lotion sarna

eczema

Avatar n tn I suggest that you wash with an antibacterial soap (like Dial), apply an over-the-counter antibiotic ream like bacitracin or neosporin ointment twice a day, use on over-the-counter anti-itch lotion like Sarna lotion as often as needed, never scratch (use Sarna every time you need to), and show whatever is left to the dermatologist when you go. Take care. Dr.
Avatar f tn Try Sarna, it's a cream my daughter uses for her severe Eczema and skin issues/severe itching from Celiac Disease. We get it at Walgreens but Im sure other stores have it. Good luck.
Avatar f tn What is the best home or store bought for sever itching,I tried sarna I take a prescription hydroxsin benadryl.
3055148 tn?1368211800 Try either Sarna sensitive or Sarna menthol. They've helped me tremendously and I have PUPPP. Oatmeal baths dnt work for me at all. You might even try soaking in Epsom salts then rubbing the sarna on the belly.
726721 tn?1311880660 I had dry patches here and there, particularly on my hands, given an Rx for Sarna and sent home with a bottle of Eucerin. The Sarna aggravated it and the Eucerin did little to help. Obviously I was left with very little confidence in dermatology. Back then I also had peeling of the skin around my cuticles. I'll admit I pick at them and make it a lot worse, but the skin is so thin and peels on it's own.
482830 tn?1247020837 Hello, about a year ago I developed small itchy bumps on my butt near the opening of my vagina. Since then the rash of itchy bumps has spread to the the fronts and backs of my knees & elbows, my hips, my inner thighs, and my stomach. The itching comes and goes and is most pronounced when I remove my clothing. These patches of itchy skin are not at all painful. They also do not blister. I scratch them but it only provides a brief period of relief.
Avatar n tn I'll have to try Sarna lotion. I've been using the Aveeno anti-itch lotion (the one with menthol and calamine). It's too wide spread to even think about using Cortaid.
Avatar f tn You can apply a lotion containing menthol and camphor (e.g., Sarna lotion), oatmeal baths (e.g., Aveeno) to soothe the skin. ref:http://www.aafp.org/afp/20030915/1135.
Avatar m tn ve tried Sarna lotion and it helps sometimes....I will definitely try the calamine lotion and tell you how it goes..........and the main reason why seeking medhelp online is because the doctors can't seem to find anything wrong, but I know something can't be right......
Avatar n tn I have a 7 month old with severe eczema--we have tried a lot of things. We are currently doing the "soak & seal" (aquafore & cereva) and avoiding his food allergies, but he is still extremely itchy. He is taking xyzal 1cc every 8 hours. It seems to come and go on his own. Is there any safe product for infants to help with the itching. Is Sarna Sensitive safe? some drs say it is ok, some say it isn't safe for babies. Thanks so much.
7365709 tn?1395398972 My Dr gave me benadryl for night and sarna moisturizing lotion during the day. Non prescription both. They worked. And they're both safe during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn Dry skin lotions, Benadryl, Atarax, Sarna anti-itch lotion, Tide laundry soap, Gain laundry soap, 2 different shower soaps, prayer ** Prednisone Z-Pack helped asap until I had no more. I thought the rash was over and went tanning to help heal the scars and am back to square one.
Avatar f tn My Dr recommended either Calamine lotion, sarna lotion or hydrocortisone 1% helped and resolved my itching.
Avatar f tn m going to try the ice packs in socks. Sounds good! I also use Sarna an anti-itch lotion that works sometimes or the gold bond rapid relief lotion works as well. My itching affects both of my upper arms, sometimes at the same time, but usually one day it's one then the other one. Also my hair has been falling out way too much lately. Is this a side effect, does anyone know?
Avatar f tn Yea and there this stuff at Wal-Mart u can use its called Sarna itch lotion
Avatar n tn Another suggestion was Sarna Anti-Itch Lotion. These two suggestions worked for me. I used ice packs in the beginning, and then I started a cold water rinse on my lower legs with a hand held shower after my normal shower. After drying I applied the Sarna Creme. The itching has stopped. I'm not sure if is the cold water or the Sarna Cream, or a combination of the two. I use the cold water rinse after every shower now because I don't want to risk having the itcy legs return.
Avatar n tn I am not a doctor, but it sounds like Grover's Disease. I was diagnosed very quickly when I showed this to my doctor and explained the itching. It is a very distinctive looking rash and it appeared only on my chest and slightly under my bra line. http://www.dermnetnz.org/scaly/grovers.html I found that Sarna lotion was extremely helpful in reducing the itching. I highly recommend it. Grover's Disease does last a few months or more.
Avatar f tn They have a new Goldbonds eczema lotion I've seen advertised on tv but I havnt tried it. The healing lotion by them is what worked for me.
Avatar f tn s temporary but still I would recommend it since it is so cheap. Much cheaper then Sarna. Huge bottles 20.5 oz each, like $3.50 a bottle. I got 2 shipped by wal mart since it's not available in Phoenix at wal mart or walgreens. Cost me $12 with tax and shipping. It's worth having in the arsenal, good for riba or incevik. It's the lidocaine that does the trick. A little wet so you may need to dry before putting on clothes. I forget who rec this, but thanks.
Avatar f tn I have had a rash to an extreme itchiness. I went out and bought the 'original Sarna' its a anti itch lotion found in the first aid department. It works wonders I can actually sleep. I would definitely make sure your doctor says its fine as to I dont wanna tell anyone something when their doc doesn't give the OK. But I read about it online an as long as you get the ORIGINAL you should be good. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn s not an allergic reaction to use Aveeno anti itch lotion and even mix hydrocortisone with regular fragrance free lotion. I already had sarna anti itch lotion so I used it after the shower today and have been comfortable mostly all day. He said benadryl, claritin or zyrtec could also help.
Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
9041091 tn?1410417329 To help with eczema get some Cortizone Eczema Lotion. Its betweeen $8-$10 a bottle.I ewas instructed not to put ANYTHINGthat has a scent to it on my sons skin becabecause it makes it worse and sunscreen has a scent and I've never heard of that helping either.
19579692 tn?1480373351 Hi, About two months ago I started getting unbearable itching on mostly my upper body. I've had no increase in the meds I take (Oxycodone, MS Contin, Neurontin, Lexapro, Benzodiazepines). I've seen my MD, pain doctor and finally a dermatologist. I'm now on Hydroxyzine but can only take right before bed due to extreme sleepiness. I am awaiting all blood test results but so far they look good. Sarna lotion helps but have to keep applying every half hour.
Avatar f tn I use a lotion called sarna, it helps for now
975957 tn?1248359249 I have tried everything from diet changes to completely restricting my beauty products to baby care stuff (shampoo, laundry detergent, soap, lotion). Nothing gets rid of the itch--even benadryl on a regular basis. I have tried Sarna, and Taro-Mupirocin (used for impetigo), even straight petroleum jelly. My doctor thinks nothing of it, and has told me to bathe in baking soda or oatmeal to get rid of the itching.
